Abstract

Anak usia sekolah bebas memilih apa yang ingin ia makan tanpa memperhatikan kebersihan pengolahan makanannya. Apabila manajemen pengolahan makanan mulai dari memilih bahan, mengolah, menyimpan, mengangkut dan menyajikan tidak dilakukan dengan baik maka makanan yang dikonsumsi dapat menimbulkan dampak buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh karakteristik responden, pengetahuan dan sikap terhadap manajemen pengolahan makanan di kantin SMP Kecamatan Galesong Selatan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pengolah makanan di SMPN 1 Galesong Selatan, SMPN 2 Galesong Selatan, SMPN 3 Galesong Selatan dan MTsS. Muhammadiyah Bontorita. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 31 orang atau semua populasi adalah sampel (total sampling). Hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan kuesioner kepada pengolah makanan di kantin. Melalui uji regresi linear sederhana didapat hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan tidak terdapat pengaruh antara jenis kelamin (p=0,551), lama bekerja (p=0,551), pelatihan (p=0,535) dan pengetahuan (p=0,103) pengolah terhadap manajemen pengolahan makanan. Sedangkan terdapat pengaruh antara usia (p=0,49), Pendidikan (p=0,005) dan sikap (p=0,013) pengolah makanan terhadap manajemen pengolahan makanan. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa usia, pendidikan dan sikap merupakan faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap manajemen pengolahan makanan di Kantin SMP Kecamatan Galesong Selatan

Abstract

Program "Kesegaran Jasmani Anak dan Remaja: Program Aktivitas Fisik untuk Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan" bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kebugaran fisik dan kesejahteraan mental anak dan remaja melalui aktivitas fisik terstruktur. Program ini melibatkan 25 peserta di Kabupaten Gowa dengan tes kebugaran seperti lari 1.600 meter, push-up, sit-up, dan agility. Hasil tes menunjukkan peningkatan kebugaran jasmani, dengan rata-rata waktu lari 1.600 meter 7,10 menit, push-up 32 repetisi, sit-up 38 repetisi, dan agility 13 detik. Program ini juga berhasil mengurangi stres dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri peserta. Program ini dapat mendorong kebiasaan hidup sehat yang berkelanjutan agar msayarakat lebih paham tentang kesehatan.

Abstract

This research explores the levels of self-confidence, emotional regulation, and discipline in achieving goals among Karate and Sepaktakraw athletes in South Sulawesi. Using a mixed-method approach that combines surveys and structured observations, the study examines psychological characteristics and their impact on athletic performance. Data were collected from selected athletes through questionnaires and direct observations conducted during training sessions and competitions. The results indicate that self-confidence, emotional control, and goal commitment are key contributors to performance outcomes. However, despite the majority of athletes demonstrating high levels in these variables, notable variations were found, particularly among Karate athletes. Some exhibited moderate levels of emotional regulation and discipline, suggesting that individual differences may influence these traits. Such findings underline the importance of tailored psychological interventions that cater to the unique needs of athletes in different sports disciplines. This study emphasizes the necessity of integrating psychological training into coaching programs to enhance mental resilience, focus, and consistency in performance. By adopting a holistic coaching approach that addresses both physical and psychological dimensions, coaches can better support athletes in achieving peak performance at national and international levels. The insights from this research provide valuable guidance for sports practitioners, enabling the development of evidence-based strategies to optimize athletic potential through a deeper understanding of psychological factors.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kebugaran kardiorespirasi masyarakat melalui pelatihan CrossFit yang difokuskan pada peningkatan VO₂Max. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi: (1) identifikasi kebutuhan mitra, (2) sosialisasi teori kebugaran dan VO₂Max, (3) pelatihan praktik CrossFit intensitas tinggi, serta (4) evaluasi melalui pre-test/post-test dan pengukuran fisiologis sederhana. Peserta terdiri dari 25 remaja/pemuda dengan hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep kebugaran (56% → 89%) dan peningkatan kapasitas fisik berdasarkan tes denyut nadi. Kegiatan ini membuktikan efektivitas CrossFit sebagai solusi latihan efisien untuk masyarakat urban, sekaligus implementasi nyata Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Rekomendasi mencakup pengembangan program berkelanjutan dengan pendekatan teknologi dan perluasan sasaran.

Abstract

Mental skills such as mental imagery play a crucial role in enhancing athletic performance, particularly in precision sports like archery. However, this skill is rarely introduced systematically to student-athletes at the regional level. This community service program aimed to introduce and train mental imagery skills among young female archers in Maros Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The activity was conducted on February 16, 2025, through a field-based training session involving 10 female athletes and two coaches. The intervention employed a participatory and practice-oriented approach that combined theoretical explanation, guided demonstrations, supervised exercises, and individual reflection. Evaluation through questionnaires and interviews indicated a significant increase in participants’ understanding of mental imagery and its perceived benefits in improving focus and concentration during training. The average scores across four assessment indicators were rated highly, with the highest score on positive experience (4.8 out of 5). This initiative demonstrates that community-based psychological approaches can be effectively implemented to strengthen the mental capacity of young athletes in regional areas.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the extent of mental skills exposure and understanding among first-year students enrolled in a Sports Coaching Education program, the majority of whom are athletes representing various regions in South Sulawesi. A descriptive research method with a cross-sectional survey design was used. The population consisted of 195 new students, with 171 valid responses obtained through an online questionnaire comprising both closed and open-ended questions. The data were analyzed using descriptive techniques and qualitative interpretation of open responses. Results show that while the students come from diverse sports backgrounds and levels of competitive experience, only a minority have received structured mental skills training. Most psychological guidance came informally from coaches, and upon further analysis, it was revealed that such guidance often involved physically intensive or disciplinary measures rather than scientifically grounded psychological techniques. Furthermore, a significant majority of the participants reported experiencing performance anxiety, loss of motivation, and diminished self-confidence before competitions, yet lacked the tools to manage these psychological challenges effectively. This study underscores the importance of introducing structured mental skills training early in athletes’ careers and integrating sport psychology into coaching education programs. By doing so, future coaches will be better equipped to foster both performance and psychological well-being in athletes under their guidance

Abstract

Atlet tentu saja mengalami berbagai macam emosi ketika berada pada kondisi latihan dan pertandingan. Emosi-emosi ini tentu saja akan mempengaruhi bagaimana seorang atlet mengambil keputusan di lapangan. Atlet yang tidak bisa meregulasi emosinya ketika berada dalam tekanan atau kondisi yang kurang menguntungkan, akan membuat performanya menurun dan tidak hanya berpotensi menghasilkan kekalahan, namun juga pengalaman yang buruk dalam latihan atau pertandingan. Sehingga sangat penting untuk mampu meregulasi emosi dengan berbagai strategi, salah satunya adalah self-talk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap hubungan antara self-talk dengan regulasi emosi kepada mahasiswa-atlet FIKK UNM yang dipilih dengan cara simple random sampling. Jumlah partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 180 mahasiswa-atlet, dengan metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan skala likert. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial, teknik analisis data untuk menguji hipotesis dengan Moderated Regression Analysis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara self-talk dan regulasi emosi, sehingga semakin sering individu menggunakan self-talk positif, maka akan semakin baik pula regulasi emosinya.

Abstract

This study aims to present a systematic literature review on social media-based marketing strategies in volleyball during the 2015–2025 period. Twenty-three articles obtained from Scopus, Google Scholar, Web of Science, DOAJ, SINTA, and Garuda databases were analyzed using thematic analysis and narrative synthesis techniques. The results indicate that social media has become a key element in modern sports marketing, particularly through platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Visual content such as highlight videos, behind-the-scenes videos, and athlete storytelling have proven to be the most effective strategies in increasing engagement and brand awareness. Furthermore, direct interaction between athletes and fans through live chat, comments, and Q&A features significantly contributes to audience loyalty and retention. The analysis also found that the use of social media analytics plays a crucial role in developing a more targeted digital marketing strategy. Clubs or athletes that actively monitor digital metrics such as engagement rate, reach, and impressions tend to have better marketing performance. Despite its significant potential, implementing digital strategies still faces challenges such as a lack of media professionals, content consistency, and unequal access to technology. Overall, the review results indicate that social media-based marketing strategies have a significant impact on the development of the volleyball industry. Further research is recommended to develop an integrated digital strategy model that sports organizations can use to improve their competitiveness and marketing performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine university athletes’ knowledge and application of Level-2 preparatory mental skills—self-talk, mental imagery, and goal setting—based on Jack Lesyk’s Nine Mental Skills framework, with the expectation that athletes would demonstrate limited conceptual understanding and inconsistent use of these skills due to the absence of structured mental-skills training in their development. Using a cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from 75 purposively selected student-athletes of Universitas Negeri Makassar who were preparing for POMNAS XIX 2025 and had competed in at least one regional-level event. The survey, administered online via Google Forms between 1–10 September 2025, consisted of open-ended items assessing conceptual knowledge and Likert-scale questions (1–5) measuring application frequency during training and competition. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively, while qualitative responses were interpreted narratively. The results show that self-talk was frequently used in competition (56% “always”) but rarely practiced in training, and 92% of athletes reported engaging in negative self-talk after errors. Mental imagery and goal-setting usage were very low in both contexts, dominated by outcome-oriented visualization and outcome-only goals, with minimal evidence of technical imagery or SMART-based planning. These findings indicate a substantial gap between theoretical expectations and actual practice, suggesting that athletes rely on intuitive and reactive strategies rather than structured psychological preparation. The study highlights the need for integrating systematic mental-skills training into coaching curricula and university sport programs. The paper includes four tables summarizing quantitative and qualitative results.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the mental readiness of tennis athletes from Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency through an experiential learning-based self-talk training. Although the athletes possessed good technical skills, they still struggled to manage emotions, maintain focus, and cope with competitive pressure. The activity was carried out in two main stages: a socialization session emphasizing the importance of mental strengthening, and a self-talk training conducted through a competitive group game requiring participants to communicate only with positive words. Post-activity reflections revealed that the athletes developed greater awareness of the importance of focusing on their own abilities, maintaining composure in critical situations, and using positive communication within the team. The direct experiential approach helped them understand how positive thinking and language directly influence concentration and coordination. This training effectively fostered self-awareness, emotional regulation, and focus control, providing a practical, psychology-based mental development model that can be applied to the training of young athletes at the regional level.
