Abstract

Posyandu is a community-based health facility that provides services for 5 main activities of Maternal and Child Health (KIA), Family Planning (KB), Nutrition, Immunization and Prevention and Control of Diarrhea which are carried out from, by, for and with the community. In 2022, the number of visits by mothers and toddlers at the posyandu in the Lingkar Timur Health Center work area was 85%, while in 2023 the coverage of visits by mothers and toddlers decreased to 68%). The low coverage of maternal participation in the posyandu can be seen from the toddler weighing data. Several factors that cause the low coverage of maternal participation in the posyandu include: maternal knowledge, posyandu activities, toddler nutritional status, motivation, maternal attitude and distance to the posyandu. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between knowledge and motivation and visits by mothers and toddlers to the posyandu. This research is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted in the Lingkar Timur Health Center Work Area on June 1-24, 2024. The number of samples in this study was 50 toddlers in the Lingkar Timur Health Center Work Area. The sampling technique used the total sampling method and the analysis used the chi-square statistical test. The results of the research showed that there was a corelation between knowledge and visits by mothers of toddlers at the integrated health post with a p-value of 0.016 and there was a correlation between motivation and visits by mothers of toddlers at the integrated health post with a p-value of 0.004. The researcher suggests that the Lingkar Timur Health Center increase the knowledge, understanding and motivation of mothers of toddlers about visits to the integrated health post by using appropriate promotional media such as leaflets, posters and others through counseling to each integrated health post.

Abstract

The IVA Test method is one of the effective and efficient methods for early detection of cervical cancer, in addition to being cheap, it can also be done by midwives or health center officers. The percentage of coverage of early detection of cervical cancer (IVA) examinations in Indonesia is far from ideal coverage. The low coverage of IVA in cervical cancer screening efforts is the reason for the increasing development of cervical cancer. The reasons why a woman does not undergo early detection of cervical cancer are because of ignorance, feeling embarrassed if her vagina is opened by health workers, being afraid that the results of the examination are positive and not feeling the need so that she does not undergo an IVA examination. The purpose of this research was to determine the factors related to the behavior of Cervical Cancer Prevention using Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (IVA). This research uses an analytical survey research method with a Cross Sectional approach. This research was conducted in the Watas Marga Health Center Working Area with a sample of 64 Women of Childbearing Age (WUS). The results of this research show a correlation between fear (p-value 0.040), shame (p-value 0.035), access to information (p-value 0.021) with cervical cancer prevention behavior using the IVA test at the Watas Marga Health Center in 2024. It is hoped that the Community Health Center in particular can improve its performance in socializing to the community that the IVA examination is a safe, efficient method with affordable costs so that the community is not afraid and embarrassed to take the IVA test so that the IVA examination target can be achieved and cervical cancer cases can be detected immediately.

Abstract

IVA Test method is one of the effective and efficient methods for early detection of cervical cancer, apart from the low cost it can also be done by midwives or health center officers. The percentage of cervical cancer early detection examination (IVA) coverage in Indonesia is far from ideal coverage. Information on early detection of cervical cancer is needed by WUS to know the importance of early detection of IVA test. The purpose of the study is to determine a correlation between access to information and early detection behavior of cervical cancer by Visual Inspection of Acetic Acid (VIA) method at Watas Marga Health Center in 2024. This research is a type of quantitative research. The research design used is an analytical survey method with a cross sectional approach, this research was conducted at Watas Marga Health Center Work Area with a sample of 64 Women of Fertile Age (WUS). The results of this study there is a correlation between access to information with early detection behavior of cervical cancer with IVA test. From the results of bivariate analysis obtained OR value = 8.533 which means that respondents who are less good at obtaining information about early detection of cervical cancer have a chance of 8.533 times not to do early detection of cervical cancer with VIA test. Health Center is expected to further improve counseling to WUS about cervical cancer, this counseling is a way to provide information and knowledge to WUS.

Abstract

Breast milk is the main source of nutritional needs for babies, because it contains white blood cells, immunoglobin, enzymes and hormones as well as other proteins needed in the process of optimal child growth and development. Breastfeeding failure can be influenced by internal and external factors. A common problem during the breastfeeding process is the inappropriate way of breastfeeding. Health workers are expected to provide information in the form of health education on how to breastfeed properly to pregnant women so that they can breastfeed their babies, so that problems that occur during the breastfeeding process can be avoided, and can increase the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months in newborns. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of health education on the knowledge of third trimester pregnant women about how to breastfeed. This type of research is quantitative, the design used in quasi-experiment research. The quasi-experiment design used was one group pretest and posttest design. The number of samples in this study were 38 third trimester pregnant women in Watas Marga Health Center. The results of the study obtained after being given health education on how to breastfeed increased to 77.53 (Good Knowledge) with a deviation standard of 7.721. The results of the statistical test obtained p-value of 0.000, it can be concluded that health education can affect the mother's knowledge about how to breastfeed
