Abstract

The rising influence of social media has led to an increasing need for effective communication strategies across different sectors. This research examines the application of sharia-based communication ethics in providing information services through social media, particularly focusing on their impact on community engagement and local tax administrators. A mixed-methods approach is used, integrating qualitative interviews with social media analysis to assess the effectiveness of communication ethics such as qaulan baligha, qaulan syadida, qaulan layyina, qaulan karima, qaulan ma'rufa, and qaulan mashura. The findings reveal that while targeted and persuasive communication models (qaulan baligha) are implemented, overall user engagement remains low. Transparent communication (qaulan syadida) improves public trust, while respectful and courteous communication (qaulan layyina and qaulan karima) promotes positive interaction. Additionally, clear and easily understandable communication (qaulan ma'rufa and qaulan mashura) supports efficient information delivery. These results suggest that incorporating these communication ethics can enhance both information dissemination and public engagement on social media platforms.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the comparison of student learning achievement through the application of the cooperative model type Snowball Throwing and Make a Match in mathematics learning. This research was an experimental research involving two groups treated with research sample of 47 students from class VII SMP Sinjai selected by using the double cluster random sampling technique. Techniques of collecting data using instruments: (1) observation sheet of learning model implementation and (2) tests of mathematics learning result.Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with t-test analysis. The results showed that : (1) Average score of mathematics learning achievement of 25 students after learning using the Snowball Throwing type of cooperative learning model which is 4% in the very low category, 40% in the medium category, 36% in the high category and 20% in the very high category. (2) The average score of mathematics learning achievement from 22 students after learning using the Make a Match type of learning model is 9.09% in the very low category, 4.54% in the low category, 50% in the medium category and 18, 18% in the high and very high categories. (3) There is no significant difference between student achievement after applying the snowball throwing type cooperative learning model and the type of make a match in Class VII Junior High School with the Rectangular Build Up material.

Abstract

Mass media and social media have emerged as controlling powers over public perception of worldwide concerns, including the Israel-Palestine conflict. Within the reality of the Palestinian genocide, the media, aside from being a transmitter of information, also serves as a means of manipulating narratives. Language use, visualization of violence, and editorial leanings tend to impact people's perception of the conflict's reality. The issue provokes inquiry into media neutrality and the degree to which the public can discern fact from narrative constructions. This research was aimed at examining the way the media influenced international and national public opinion about Israel's military attack on Palestine, and the lack of balance in the representation of these events across different information media. The research was qualitative in nature, using critical discourse analysis of both mainstream media and social media reporting. The findings showed that framing of news stories substantially affected public sympathy or dislike for victims, which in turn had an impact on societal attitudes and even foreign political agendas (Hroub, 2022). This research stressed the need for media literacy as a social safeguard against information manipulation.

Abstract

Penulisan karya tulis ilmiah sangat penting bagi pelajar, peneliti, dan akademisi, sebagai media komunikasi ilmiah dan indikator kredibilitas penulis. Namun, banyak penulis kesulitan dalam mengelola referensi, mencari literatur, dan menyusun argumen. Teknologi digital telah hadir untuk mempermudah proses ini, seperti aplikasi Mendeley untuk mengelola referensi dan Semantic Scholar untuk menemukan literatur relevan. Kemajuan kecerdasan buatan (AI) juga menawarkan dukungan dalam penyusunan draf, parafrase, dan pengecekan plagiarisme. Meskipun demikian, pemanfaatan teknologi ini di kalangan pelajar dan akademisi masih terbatas, dengan banyak yang masih mengandalkan metode tradisional. Pelatihan ini bertujuan memberikan keterampilan praktis dalam menggunakan alat tersebut untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas penulisan ilmiah. Diharapkan, peserta dapat menghasilkan karya ilmiah berkualitas dan orisinal, serta memenuhi standar akademik. Rekomendasi ke depan adalah memperpanjang durasi pelatihan untuk penguasaan lebih dalam terhadap alat ini.
