Abstract

This deep understanding of the dynamics of Overseas Javanese solidarity is not only important to explain social interactions at the local level but also has important implications for the development of contemporary science, especially in the field of Anthropology / Sociology in the context of overseas Javanese solidarity.  This type of research is qualitative descriptive research using the theoretical approach of solidarity Bronislaw Malinowski. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study show that the form of solidarity built in overseas Javanese in Lakawali Village is integrative solidarity and regulative solidarity. Integrative solidarity of Overseas Javanese in Lakawali Village is manifested in various attitudes of interdependence and cooperation which became the forerunner of the formation of solidarity in daily life, while regulative solidarity in Overseas Javanese in Lakawali Village, East Luwu Regency is characterized by the existence of cultural values and social norms such as politeness values and moral values that form solidarity with the community.

Abstract

Social stigma against illegal parking is a negative view or judgment given by the community to illegal parkers because they are considered to disturb public order and cause unrest among the community. This study aims to (1) analyze how social stigma against illegal parking in Panakukkang District, Makassar City. (2) To analyze the factors influencing social stigma toward illegal parking in Panakukkang District, Makassar City. (3) To analyze the solutions proposed by the community to address illegal parking in Panakukkang District, Makassar City. The number of informants in this study was 10 people, determined by purposive sampling with the criteria of community members residing in Panakukkang District aged 19-40 years. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. This research is qualitative and descriptive in nature. The results of this study show that: (1) How social stigma towards illegal parking in Panakukkang District, Makassar City is: a). Public Stigma, b). Structural Stigma, c). Self Stigma, d). Experienced Stigma. 2) Factors influencing social stigma toward illegal parking in Panakukkang District, Makassar City, are: a) Knowledge factor, b) Perception factor, c) Individual experience factor, d) Media factor. (3) Solutions proposed by the community in efforts to regulate illegal parking in Panakukkang District, Makassar City, are: a). Awareness and orderliness, b). Community participation and involvement.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze how the media, particularly Tempo, plays a role in shaping the discourse of democracy during the 2024 Presidential Election in Indonesia. The main focus of this research is the analysis of the political role of the podcast program "Bocor Alus Politik" managed by Tempodotco during the 2024 presidential election, through the ideas of freedom of expression, equality, and the formation of public opinion. Through a qualitative content analysis approach that involves a deep understanding of the meaning of communication, this research explores, first, how the narratives presented by Tempodotco, particularly through the program Bocor Alus Politik, discuss, reflect, shape, and discourse political issues within the framework of media politics. Second, through the media politics framework, this article examines how the program Bocor Alus Politik plays a role in revitalizing the democratic agenda during the 2024 presidential election period. The exploration results of this article conclude, first, that through the program "Bocor Alus Politik," Tempo plays a media political role in shaping the political discourse during the 2024 presidential election period. Second, through the political narrative of "Bocor Alus Politik," Tempo has implications for the democratic process in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the innovation and creativity of traditional cobekan and tombstone business owners in Tampung Cinae, Barru Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subject only involved one informant, namely the business owner named Hariswan, who was determined through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews and participatory observation in the field. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles & Huberman interactive model with source triangulation and member checking techniques to ensure the validity of the findings. The results of the study indicate four main themes: (1) Background and Development of the Business, which reflects motivation and changes in the production process from manual to the use of modern tools; (2) Innovation and Product Development, in the form of incremental innovation through the use of tools such as grinders and excavators; (3) Product Creativity, seen from the variety of designs, colors, and motifs that follow market tastes; and (4) Business Risks and Challenges, including constraints of weather, raw materials, and work tools that are overcome with adaptive strategies. These findings confirm that traditional business innovation is based on local cultural experiences and values and has important implications for the empowerment of rural MSMEs.

Abstract

Budidaya rumput laut merupakan sektor strategis yang menjadi penggerak perekonomian masyarakat pesisir Bintarore. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perkembangan budidaya rumput laut serta menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat Kelurahan Bintarore, Kabupaten Bulukumba. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, dengan informan terdiri dari petani rumput laut dan kelompok tani. Data dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budidaya rumput laut di Bintarore berkembang pesat dengan peningkatan jumlah petani, perluasan area budidaya, dan kenaikan produksi sebesar 20–35% per musim panen. Keberhasilan usaha dipengaruhi oleh kualitas perairan, bibit unggul, teknik longline, kelembagaan petani, dan dukungan pemerintah. Secara ekonomi, budidaya rumput laut meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat sebesar 30–50%, membuka peluang kerja baru, dan menciptakan multiplier effect ekonomi. Proses teknis seperti mabettang turut menentukan kualitas pertumbuhan dan hasil panen. Namun, tantangan berupa metode tradisional, fluktuasi harga, penyakit, serta minimnya pengolahan pascapanen masih membatasi optimalisasi usaha. Budidaya rumput laut secara keseluruhan memberikan kontribusi penting bagi penguatan ekonomi masyarakat pesisir Bintarore.
