Abstract

Shallow water tides are very important to improve accuracy of tidal predictions. It is used by port interest, sea transportation, fishing industry, coastal engineering, etc. Simulation of shallow water tides was obtained from harmonic analysis of 1 dimensional channel model (12 grid) by using variational data assimilation (grid 3 and 8). Two partial tides with angular frequencies σ1 = 1,4x10-4 and σ2 = 1,6x10-4 rad/sec and amplitude A1 = 1x10-8 and A2 = 0,5x10-8 meters are used for defining external forcing in the model domain. When inspecting the amplitudes of both partial tides σ1 and σ2 and some of their dominant over- and compound tides (σ3 = 2σ1-σ2 and σ4 = 3σ1), in general the “to be corrected” solution can be improved significantly. Root mean square (rms) error of tidal constituent σ1 between the “reference” and the “to be corrected” without data assimilation is 0,1075 m/sec, and for σ2 is 0,0440 m/sec, respectively. On the other hand, the harmonic analysis of the phase of tidal constituent σ1 showed a good result (root mean square = 0.0000 m/s) and for σ2 (root mean square = 0.0002 m/s).Keywords: shallow water tides, data assimilation, harmonic analysis.

Abstract

Marketing is all the factors that are responsible for beef being distributed from the production location to where beef are consumed. This study aims to identify the characteristics of marketing institutions, big agents and retailers/small agents marketing beef, beef marketing channels, analyze marketing margins, farmer's share, beef marketing costs, and analyze beef marketing efficiency at PT Lembu Andalas, Langkat. This research was conducted in July 2022 – August 2022. The sampling method chosen was snowball sampling, namely by following marketing channels from producers to consumers. Data was collected by using interview techniques using questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that there are two marketing channels. The smallest marketing margin is obtained in marketing channel II. The bigst farmer's share is obtained in marketing channel  I. So it can be concluded that the first and second channels are efficient channels  because they have an efficiency value of >1.

Abstract

The presence of numerous oil and gas seeps along the Pamanukan-Cilacap Fault Zone of the Banyumas Basin. This indicate that the Banyumas Basin is an active petroleum system. However, oil and gas exploration in this area is complicated by extensive volcanic rocks from Paleogene to Recent Times. Thick volcanic covers are responsible for the poor seismic data quality and making subsurface imaging is difficult. Therefore, there is prospective sedimentary sequence beneath the volcanic rock as potential hydrocarbon resources in this basin. This review will focus on geochemical and geophysical approach. Geochemical analysis was used to reveal petroleum generation underneath the volcanic cover. The combined geophysical methods, i.e. gravity, magnetotelluric and passive seismic tomography were applied to image subsurface sedimentary thickness and geology structure in this area. Biomarker analysis of oil seeps from study area indicates that the oil generation in the Banyumas Basin was derived from Late Cretaceous to Eocene sedimentary rocks which deposited in fluvial to deltaic environment. The gravity data delineation analysis shows two sedimentary sub basins, Majenang Sub Basin and Citanduy Sub Basin, a relatively northwest to southeast trends, correlates with the regional structural trend. These sub basins were also well determined from magnetotelluric data. The passive seismic tomography method enhancing the sub surface image. The Vp, Vs and Vp/Vs ratios can identify the sedimentary layer under the volcanic rocks, as well as geological structure feature within the basin. The flower structure and anticline structure are well imaged and could be the potential structural trap in the Banyumas Basin. Thus, this new insight provides opportunities for further petroleum exploration in this area. Keyword: Geochemistry, Banyumas Basin, passive seismic tomography, hydrocarbon potential

Abstract

The study was conducted to support the healing of survivors of mental health disorders in Central Sulawesi. Therefore, the Mental Health Center facilitates healing and recovery. Apart from that, the mental health center is also a forum for education about mental health disorders in order to raise awareness and understanding about the importance of maintaining mental health. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research methods, which are then processed using architectural design methods through the process of designing buildings, data collection, concept analysis and design. From the results of this analysis, the design concept and design of mental health centers in the city of Palu are produced. The result of this study is a Mental Health Center in Palu City with the application of Tadao Ando's design principles which will be able to accommodate the function of the building as a place for healing and education for the people of Palu City.
