Abstract

Organic vegetable cultivation training was carried out for a group of housewives in Wari Ino village by utilizing their yards, with the outputs being the concept of empowerment and a yard cultivation model adopted by the community, especially housewives. The problem faced by members is the low utilization of their yards due to low knowledge and skills in cultivating organic vegetables. The method of implementing this activity is counseling, training on vegetable cultivation in the yard. The results obtained from this activity are the increased knowledge and skills of members in the use of yard land, and each member has used the land of the house by planting various types of vegetable plants.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of PKK members in cultivating vegetable plants independently. Activities were carried out in Daru Village targeting the PKK group, using counseling methods and creating PKK garden demonstration plots. The results of the service activities show that the activities carried out have increased the knowledge and skills of PKK group members which include the ability to recognize vegetable seeds based on their shape and color, differentiate between how to plant seeds, plant spacing for each type of vegetable, explain when to fertilize, differentiate the harvest age for each type of vegetable, explains the harvest time for the vegetable crops planted, which in the future can encourage an increase in the quality of family food

Abstract

Food security socialization activities carried out at the Kali Upa Village Office, Central Tobelo Sub-district, North Halmahera Regency, aim to increase community knowledge about food security, use of yards and processing and consumption of fishery products to support community food security. The methods used in this service activity are counseling, discussion and object introduction through pictures and videos to make it easier for participants to understand the material presented. The results of the activity show that there has been an increase in community knowledge regarding food security at the household level, which includes understanding the concept of food security, utilization of the surrounding environment and consumption of fishery products to support food security.

Abstract

The community service activities that have been carried out aim to increase community knowledge about organic farming and organic fertilizer as well as skills in how to make organic fertilizer to support community agricultural management. The methods used in this service activity are counseling, discussion and demonstration of making solid organic fertilizer. The solid organic fertilizer made is organic fertilizer based on livestock manure and gamal leaves. The tools used in making fertilizer are shovels, hoes, buckets, scales, tarpaulins and drums, while the materials used are livestock manure, granulated sugar, EM4, water.
