Abstract

Abstract The issue of non-muslim leadership in a country with a majority muslim population, but not in the form of a religious state like Indonesia or secular countries, appears to be a necessity. Indonesian citizens feel this concern, while the general public may not share the same view. That is evident from the resistance often expressed in various mass actions in the name of religion, with various interests behind them. This paper aims to answer two questions: How do certain groups resist non-muslim leaders in Indonesia? What are the variations and interests of resistance to non-muslim leaders that surround them? The research is qualitative and focuses on library research. Michel Foucault's theory and the phenomenological study approach are used to thoroughly analyse the meaning of the participants' perspectives on themselves and their society. The study concludes that resistance to non-Muslim leaders is divided into three groups: Firstly, FPI was formed due to dissatisfaction with the role of the government, the injustice and suffering of Indonesian muslims, and the duty of Muslims to uphold the dignity of religion and muslims itself. Secondly, HTI was formed to reject the democratic political system and demand the establishment of an Islamic caliphal system. Thirdly, MUI is a group formed to reject things on social and religious excuses. Keywords: Non-Muslim Leaders, Religious Organizations, Phenomenology

Abstract

Abstract The Sufistic tradition is a significant aspect of Islamic civilisation's history and a new direction in Qur'anic interpretation methodology. The epistemology developed by the Sufis for interpreting the Qur'an is closely tied to the symbolism of the holy verses, which metaphorically presented as the sacred soul's orientation towards God. The Sufis interpret the verses by delving into their meaning with doctrines and spiritual experiences, going beyond the text's literal meaning. This style of interpretation represents a distinct variation in the field of interpretation. It becomes two variants, namely nadzari and isyari. The author aims to show how the Sufi paradigm affects the interpreting world. The discourse surrounding Sufi interpretation and its development over time will be explored. This research aims to reveal, unravel, and trace the growth of the discourse of interpretation throughout history using the historical analytical method and literature references. The study concludes that the natural Sufi figures interpret the Qur'an by synchronising it with their received signals, focusing on 'al-ahwal' and 'al-maqamat', commonly known as: 'tasawuf stations.' The phenomenon of Sufi interpretation is noteworthy due to the variety of responses it elicits, both supportive and critical. It is important to note that the trend of Sufism studies must impact the realm of Qur'anic interpretation, as the Qur'an will continue to be the focus of attention and research in the development of science. Abstract

Abstract Israiliyat spread widely through books of interpretation, stories of the prophets, and not infrequently from the talks of a few missionaries. In the case of Yusuf-Zulaikha, Israel succeeded in making the majority of Muslims in various parts of the world almost (or even already) believe that Zulaikha was the name of the wife of the king of Egypt who later became the wife of Prophet Yusuf. It is proven to be believed by the occurrence of Yusuf and Zulaikha's name in the prayers of the wedding ceremony. This research aims to reveal two things: First, what is the history of Israiliyat in the book Jamî' al-Bayân 'an Ta'wîli Âyât al-Qurân that is related to the story of Yusuf-Zulaikha? And Second, what is the quality of the Israeli narratives? To achieve that purpose, the writer relies on two theories at once. First, the historical theory that functions as research material to find out the consistency or inconsistency of the history of Israel; Second, the theory of al-jarh wa al-ta'dîl which is useful to know the credibility of each narrator. The connection between one narrator and another narrator will also be thoroughly studied through this theory. By using the qualitative research method, this research will produce the conclusion that, the enlightenment that is a little surprising that the assumption that is almost believed by the majority of Muslims about Zulaikha as the wife of al-'Aziz who later became the wife of Prophet Yusuf is sourced from the history of Israiliyat has so many flaws that it is not can be accepted, let alone believed to be true. Third, does the story of Potre Koneng have relevance to the story of Siti Maryam in al-Quran?
