Abstract

The first objective aims to develop English learning activities using game-based learning for enhancing the vocabulary retention of grade 1 students, to be effective according to the 70/70 criterion. The second objective aims to compare the learning achievement before and after. The participants of this research consisted of 32 grade 1 students in Semester 2, Academic Year 2023. The research tools were divided into two categories, including 3 learning management plans, a vocabulary memorization ability test in flashcard format with 20 items, and a learning achievement test, which was 20 items of multiple choices. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and dependent t-test. The results of the research found that the game-based learning plan for grade 1 students had an efficiency of 86.41/79.38, which is higher than the set criteria of 70/70. They had higher academic achievement after learning management than before learning at a statistical significance of .05. English learning and other fields of study can benefit from the implementation and more research in various group of the study.

Abstract

This action research promotes English reading by organizing International Phonetic Alphabet or IPA learning for 5th grade students. The participants were eight students; the tools for data collection included IPA learning plans and reading aloud tests. We analyzed the data using descriptive statistics. In the first cycle, the ability to read and pronounce English received the highest score of 10 points, which is the total score. There were 8 students who did not pass the 70% criteria, accounting for 24.24% of the total number of students. The second cycle showed that the students passed the 70% criteria. It can conclude that IPA can improve students' English learning skills and foster their proficiency in handling foreign language. Teachers can employ this instructional method in their English class to encourage students to learn authentic phonetics as well.

Abstract

The objective of this research aims to develop mathematical learning activities through active learning management. The sample group used in this research consists of 23 students in grade 4. The research tools used include 15 lesson plans, a multiple-choice test with 20 items to measure learning performance, a multiple-choice test with 20 items to measure problem-solving abilities in mathematics, and a questionnaire to measure student satisfaction towards active learning management for mathematics subjects, consisting of 20 items. The statistical analysis used to analyze the data includes percentage, mean, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing. The research findings revealed that the active learning activities had an efficiency of 86.86/80.45. Students had learning score after the implementation is significantly higher than before, with statistical significance at the .05 level. The problem-solving abilities of students was higher than the criterion of 80%. Furthermore, students had level of satisfaction towards active learning management at the highest level.

Abstract

The purposes of the research were to 1) develop the activity of English vocabulary learning with the picture me reading technique for grade 4  students with the criteria efficiency of 75/75, 2) compare the learning achievements for grade 4 students between before and after learning with Picture Me Reading, 3) compare the activity of English vocabulary learning using with picture me reading technique for grade 4 students with 75% criteria, and 4) study the students' satisfaction towards the activity of English vocabulary learning using with picture me reading technique for grade 4 students. Fifteen students of Ban Khoi School, obtained by cluster random sampling participated in this study. The research instruments were 12 plans of activity for English vocabulary learning 20 multiple-choice, a 4-choice achievement test, and the satisfaction questionnaire. The data were analyzed using basic statistics by  percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test statistics. The results showed that learning activities consisted of 4 learning stages which had efficiency criteria  79.31/75.35. The academic achievement of students after learning was higher than before at the 0.5 level of significantly statistics. Students had score after learning activities higher than the criterion of 75%, and they had satisfaction was at the high level.

Abstract

The purpose of this study aims to investigate the effects of integrated inquiry-based learning and problem-based learning for improving grade 8 student science learning achievement of force and motion, and to study students’ satisfaction with the learning management plan designed using the integration of integrated inquiry-based learning and problem-based learning. The participants were 39 of grade 8 students from a public school in Thailand. The instruments were a learning management plan designed using the integration of integrated inquiry-based learning and problem-based learning, a 4-multiple choice learning achievement test, and a satisfaction questionnaire. The results of the study showed that there was an improvement in the participants' science learning achievement on the concept of force and motion after implementing the learning management plan. Additionally, the integration of inquiry-based learning and problem-based learning led to increased learning satisfaction among the participants. These findings suggest that the integration of inquiry-based learning and problem-based learning can be an effective approach to teaching science concepts, particularly force and motion, and can lead to improved student learning outcomes and satisfaction.

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) Develop STEM learning activities for Grade 5 students on the water cycle to be effective according to the 70/70 criteria. 2) Compare achievement before and after studying. After using STEM education activities About the water cycle. 3) Study student satisfaction with science learning activities. The sample for this research was 21 students in Grade 5 at a School at Chaturaphak Phiman District, Roi Et Province, Thailand obtained from random sampling, using the school as the random unit. The tools used include 1) 3 Lesson plans 2) an Achievement test for science subjects, Grade 5, Unit 4 The Water Cycle was a multiple choice test with 4 options, 30 questions. 3) an Assessment of student satisfaction with learning activities using STEM education using the evaluation scale has 5 levels and 12 items. Statistics used in data analysis include percentages, averages, and standard deviations and statistics test the value of t. The results of the research found that STEM learning activities on the water cycle to enhance the achievement of Grade 5 students were highly effective at criteria of 86/76.5. The academic achievement of Grade 5 students after studying was higher than before studying at a statistical significance at the .05 level and student satisfaction with organizing STEM learning activities on The Water Cycle to enhance the achievement of Grade 5 was at the highest level.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop an integrated STEAM approach using social service learning to address students' creativity. The research is conducted using RD methodology with 3 phases; Phase 1: Analysis of documents and concepts Theory Research related to the integrated STEAM approach using social service learning Phase 2 Create a integrated STEAM approach using social service learning, and Phase 3: Study the results of using an integrated STEAM approach using social service learning. The sample is a network of STEM schools in Roi Et province, Thailand. One school was drawn using the school as a random unit, and there were 30 students in the product design course offered in the second semester of the academic year 2023.  The tools used to collect data include a integrated STEAM approach using social service learning, a measure of creativity from the artworks of students learning with art activities using the behavioral observation and corporate social responsibility assessment. The statistics used in the analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results showed that the teaching and learning model by social service has 6 components; namely basic principles, concepts, and theories related to teaching and learning by social service, objectives of the teaching and learning model, teaching procedures social system response principle, and the support system is called "PIPAR MODEL". P-Preparation, -Imagine, P-Presentation, A-Action, And the R-Reflect stage can encourage the creativity of 4th-grade students. To have a creative score of 80 percent, 100 percent, and “PIPAR  MODEL” can also develop students to be socially responsible, and socially responsible to a large extent. It has a mean of 4.30 and a standard deviation of 0.612. It has a maximum mean of 4.70 and a standard deviation of 0.460. Second, students have respect for the rights of others. It has a mean of 4.64 and a standard deviation of 0.538. It has a mean of 3.78 and a standard deviation of 0.707.

Abstract

World is now rapidly changed by human activities that effect to environment and all of us. Process and product of science and technology transformed our knowledge and way of life to modern society. Local knowledge and scientific knowledge are related to means of co-learning space. Science education should play its importance roles and goals to use science and technology for sustainable development. The aim of this study was to compare Thai and Indonesian novice science teacher students in science attitude on environmental conservation based on local wisdom of Baduy’s society. The subjects were 95 of Thai and 71 of Indonesian novice science teacher students. They were asked indigenous knowledge for preserving natural resources and community practices. Attitude on environmental conservation is explored and explained through the scientific literacy test.  The results showed that mean score of Thai novice science teacher students had better than Indonesian movice science teacher students and significantly differences at .05 level of statistics. Need future studies which concern to improve science attitude and scientific literacy in the teacher education program.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop the creativity of 4th-grade students by using a set of learning activities based on the STEAM concept. The target group in this research is 4th grade students in elementary school in Thailand, during the second semester of the academic year 2023- 2024. There were 13 respondents in this research. The tools used in this research were a set of learning activities based on the STEAM concept, Academic Career Grade 4 Student Performance Assessment Form, and Student Interview Form. The research methodology was classroom action research. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and percentage, which were researched in two operating cycles. The results showed that in Operation Cycle 1, 9 students passed the assessment criteria of 70 percent out of a total of 13 students, representing 69.24 percent of the total students. In Operation Cycle 2, 13 students passed the assessment criteria of 70 percent, representing 100 percent of all students.
