Abstract

The use of mobile technology and language learning applications (Mobile-Assisted Language Learning or MALL) as a tool to improve students' English listening skills effectively. MALL has been proven to increase student achievement, engagement, and participation in language learning, especially in the aspect of listening skills. With that, the adoption of MALL is a promising and effective strategy in improving college students' English listening skills, but it requires careful planning and implementation to maximize its benefits.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas Pesantren Al Muayyad Windan (PMW) berperan penting dalam dinamika masyarakat majemuk di Solo. Sejak 1998, PMW terlibat dalam aktivitas dialog antar agama di Solo. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji hubungan antar agama di Solo pada akhir Orde Baru dan latar belakang pemikiran yang mendasari PMW melakukan dialog antar agama di Solo. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan teologis. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa era akhir Orde Baru, toleransi beragama di Solo cenderung pasif sehingga potensi konflik antar agama marak terjadi. Hal ini disebabkan oleh formalisasi agama dan kebijakan pemerintah yang terlalu ketat mengatur hubungan antar umat beragama serta tindakan sejumlah masyarakat yang membenarkan tindakannya atas nama agama. Ada tiga alasan PMW dalam aktivitas dialog antar agama di Solo, yaitu 1) alasan teologis: didasarkan pada QS. Al-Ankabut: 46, QS. ‘Ali Imran: 84, dan QS. Al-Hujuraat: 13; 2) alasan sosiologis: pluralisme agama, keinginan untuk berkomunikasi dan saling menghargai serta kerja sama dalam masyarakat; dan 3) komitmen pribadi pengurus PMW, Kiai Dian Nafi’, untuk mewujudkan perdamaian antar umat beragama di Solo. Komitmen tersebut dilandasi oleh pandangan pribadi bahwa hidup ini sesungguhnya adalah perjalanan agung yang ditempuh setiap orang dengan jalanya masing-masing menuju Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Kata Kunci: Pemikiran; Dialog Antar Agama; Pesantren Al Muayyad Windan.
