Abstract

The use of mobile technology and language learning applications (Mobile-Assisted Language Learning or MALL) as a tool to improve students' English listening skills effectively. MALL has been proven to increase student achievement, engagement, and participation in language learning, especially in the aspect of listening skills. With that, the adoption of MALL is a promising and effective strategy in improving college students' English listening skills, but it requires careful planning and implementation to maximize its benefits.

Abstract

This study presents a bibliometric review of online counseling and mental health, utilizing the Scopus database to analyze publication trends from 2019 to 2024. The research aims to identify key trends, influential authors, and emerging topics in the field. By analyzing 298 documents with advanced bibliometric methods, including author collaboration analysis, descriptive statistics, keyword co-occurrence analysis, and citation analysis, the study highlights a significant rise in publications after 2023, emphasizing the growing relevance of online counseling in mental health. The findings also reveal notable research surges driven by global events and technological advancements, showcasing the field's dynamic evolution. This study underscores the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and advocates for further exploration of the effectiveness and scalability of online counseling. The insights gained offer valuable guidance for educators, policymakers, and researchers, promoting the integration of online platforms into educational and mental health frameworks

Abstract

The quality of learning in madrasahs must continually be improved in response to increasingly complex educational demands. This study aims to describe the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) in improving the quality of learning at MAN 1 Kota Sukabumi. The research method used is qualitative with a field research approach. The research instruments consisted of interview guides, observation sheets, and documentation. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and the school committee; direct field observations; and document analysis. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results of the study indicate that SBM was implemented through the involvement of all school stakeholders in decision-making, improving teacher competence through training, optimizing learning facilities, and active parental involvement in supporting the learning process. The conclusion of this study shows that SBM plays a significant role in enhancing the quality of learning when implemented in a participatory and sustainable manner. Key Words: School-Based Management, Learning Quality, School Participation Abstrak (Indonesia): Mutu pembelajaran di madrasah perlu terus ditingkatkan seiring tuntutan pendidikan yang semakin kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) dalam meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran di MAN 1 Kota Sukabumi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan field research. Instrumen penelitian berupa pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala madrasah, guru, dan komite, observasi langsung di lapangan, serta studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi MBS dilakukan melalui pelibatan semua unsur madrasah dalam pengambilan keputusan, peningkatan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan, optimalisasi sarana pembelajaran, serta keterlibatan aktif orang tua dalam mendukung proses belajar mengajar. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa MBS berperan signifikan dalam peningkatan mutu pembelajaran apabila dilaksanakan secara partisipatif dan berkelanjutan. Abstract

Early childhood independence is a crucial aspect of their development, especially in formal educational environments such as kindergartens. This study aims to analyze teachers' strategies in fostering children's independence through the Montessori method at TK Islam Al-Fitriyah Sukabumi. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive study design. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the principal and teachers, as well as direct observations. Meanwhile, secondary data were collected through document studies related to the implementation of the Montessori method in the school. The data analysis techniques used in this study include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that teachers' strategies in fostering children's independence include providing structured freedom, utilizing Montessori learning materials, and offering individualized guidance according to each child's needs. The findings reveal that the Montessori method is effective in enhancing children's independence, particularly in decision-making, motor skills, and self-discipline. The study concludes that the proper implementation of the Montessori method with appropriate strategies can help children become more independent in both learning activities and daily life.
