Media pembelajaran adalah satu hal penting dalam proses belajar mengajar. Pemanfaatan teknologi masa kini seperti android menjadi salah satu pilihan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan dari media pembelajaran berbasis android yang digunakan dalam mata kuliah kimia hidrokarbon. Metode penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan penyebaran (disseminate). Namun, dalam penelitian ini, hanya dilakukan tiga tahapan saja hingga tahap pengembangan (develop). Tingkat kelayakan diketahui dengan mengukur validitas menggunakan angket yang disebar kepada dua orang validator ahli. Hasil validitas media menunjukkan nilai 3,45 dan persentase sebanyak 86,25%, sedangkan validitas materi dengan nilai 3,18 dengan persentase sebanyak 79,68%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran kimia berbasis android yang dikembangkan sudah layak untuk diujicobakan kepada pengguna.

Peran tenaga pendidik yang profesional sangat dibutuhkan dalam dunia pendidikan sekarang ini, terutama sejak dimulainya Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA). Tentu saja hal ini harus didukung dengan lengkapnya sarana dan prasarana dalam dunia pendidikan, salah satunya adalah laboratorium. Laboratorium kimia sangat penting dalam proses belajar mengajar di sekolah, karena ilmu kimia didasarkan pada eksperimen yang memiliki keterkaitan antara teori dan praktek. Sudah seharusnya laboratorium kimia di setiap sekolah melaksanakan manajemen laboratorium yang efektif dan efisien, sehingga kegiatan praktikum dapat terlaksana dengan lancar serta dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis manajemen laboratorium kimia SMA Negeri di kota Tanjungpinang. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dan analisis deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala laboratorium dan guru bidang studi kimia di SMA Negeri di kota Tanjungpinang. SMA Negeri yang diteliti ada 6 sekolah yaitu SMA Negeri 1, SMA Negeri 2, SMA Negeri 3, SMA Negeri 4, SMA Negeri 5, dan SMA Negeri 6 Tanjungpinang. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian dirangkum melalui 4 perangkat manajemen laboratorium yaitu perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan yang dibuat dalam 24 kriteria. Dari 6 sekolah negeri di kota Tanjungpinang, SMA yang paling banyak memenuhi kriteria manajemen laboratorium yaitu SMA Negeri 2 Tanjungpinang sebanyak 18 kriteria. Sedangkan sekolah paling sedikit pelaksanaan manajemen laboratoriumnya adalah SMA Negeri 3 Tanjungpinang yang hanya memenuhi 5 kriteria saja. Ini menunjukkan bahwa secara umum manajemen laboratorium SMA Negeri di kota Tanjungpinang masih belum terlaksana dengan baik karena belum memenuhi semua kriteria yang tercakup dalam perangkat manajemen laboratorium. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan supaya peran serta dan kerjasama antar pemerintah dengan sekolah diharapkan dapat terlaksana dengan baik supaya tidak ada masalah mengenai pengadaan bahan dan alat. Tentunya komitmen dari segenap SDM di sekolah juga sangat diperlukan guna mencapai pelaksanaan manajemen laboratorium yang baik

Sangat penting untuk mengetahui pandangan calon guru kimia tentang Nature of Science karena akan mempengaruhi kinerja disaat menjadi guru yang sesungguhnya. Guru yang memiliki pandangan mengenai nature of science (VNOS) yang benar, akan mentransfer kemampuan tersebut kepada para siswanya, begitu juga sebaliknya pemahaman yang salah juga akan tertularkan kepada para siswa. Aspek VNOS yang akan dibahas meliputi (1) Tentativeness, (2) Empirical basis, (3)Subjectivity, (4) Creativity, (5) Social/cultural embeddedness, dan (6) Theories and laws. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuisioner VNOS form B yang telah diadopsi dari Lederman dan pedoman wawancara. Pandangan calon guru kimia dijelaskan dan dikategorikan sebagai naïve, eclectic, dan informed untuk setiap aspek NOS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa calon guru kimia memiliki pandangan yang cukup memadai tentang Nature of Science.

The media developed is a three-dimensional ball teaching media.The purpose of this study is to develop three-dimensional atomic ball teaching media, to find out the validity level of three-dimensional atomic ball teaching media, to find out the practicalities of the three-dimensional atomic ball teaching media that have been developed. This research is a type of Research and Development (R & D) research using a 4D development model, namely define, design, develop, and dessiminatebut is limited to the develop stage. The teaching media developed were validated by media experts and material experts. The subject of this research trial was a chemistry teacher to find out the practicality of three-dimensional atomic balls teaching media, and 20 students of East Siantan 1 High School to find out the practicality of three-dimensional atomic balls. The method used to analyze data uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that the validity of three-dimensional atomic ball teaching media for atomic structure material was obtained from the results of a media expert's assessment of 95.19% with very valid criteria, and the material expert's assessment was 81.23% with very valid criteria.The practicality test results were obtained from teacher responses of 92.5% with very practical criteria, and 81.41% student responses with very practical criteria. The link between learning materials and the surrounding known as scientific literacy is an important thing for educators to do today. Scientific literacy is needed and it continues to be developed, especially in developing teaching materials. This research is conducted to know the needs of prospective teachers for developing teaching materials on intermolecular interactions and its connection with the concept of an inkjet printer. This analysis used an interview worksheet and conceptual questions given to chemistry learning students to discover the correlation between the material and the relationship with the existing context. The outcomes of the worksheet data were constructed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results stated that 97% of students already knew and were familiar with inkjet printers, but only 49% understood how the cognition of intermolecular interaction material in the circumstance of inkjet printers. 83% of students stated that there was a relationship between chemical materials and inkjet printers, but only 11% understood how the interactions between ink and paper were related in terms of chemical bonds. Students also stated that 89% required the use of teaching materials that linked the concept of interactions between molecules and their relationship with the context of an inkjet printer. Therefore, according to the conclusion of this research, teaching material is going to be developed that can explain the connection between the concepts of molecular interaction and the context of an inkjet printer to the prospective chemistry teachers.

Virus corona (COVID-19) menyebar dengan pesat di Indonesia sejak pertengahan Maret 2020, sehingga menuntut pemerintah untuk mencari solusi bagi mengurangi dampak penyebaran virus ini. Salah satu cara yang efektif adalah selalu menjaga kebersihan tubuh dengan selalu menggunakan hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer merupakan cairan pembersih kuman yang digunakan pada tangan dan dapat membunuh kuman secara singkat karena kandungan yang terdapat dalam hand sanitizer berupa zat kimia yang berkonsentrasi tinggi seperti alkohol. Pasca pandemi COVID-19, cairan hand sanitizer sulit ditemukan karena kebutuhan yang sangat tinggi oleh seluruh masyarakat, sehingga hal ini menjadi pencetus institusi untuk mengajak akademisi untuk berperan aktif dalam membuat hand sanitizer yang dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat yang membutuhkan. Oleh karena itu dosen prodi Pendidikan Kimia UMRAH mendampingi mahasiswa Pendidikan kimia dalam membuat hand sanitizer yang dapat digunakan pada pandemi COVID-19 dan dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat umum. Pembuatan hand sanitizer ini menggunakan bahan-bahan seperti alkohol, hidrogen peroksida dan aloevera yang dilakukan di laboratorium Marine Chemistry, Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji. Produk hand sanitizer dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat umum melalui distribusi oleh satgas Kota Tanjungpinang, yayasan kesehatan masyarakat, puskesmas dan baznas Kota Tanjungpinang. Hal ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dalam mengurangi penyebaran virus COVID-19 di kota Tanjungpinang.

The development of Acid-Base electronic chemistry comic learning media for High School Students was developed to make it easier for students to learn chemistry subjects, especially Acid-Base materials. This study aimed to 1) Develop of Acid-Base Electronic Chemical Comic Learning Media for High School Students. 2) Find out the level of validity of the Acid-Base Electronic Chemical Comic Learning Media for High School Students, and 3) Find out the practicality of acid-base electronic chemical comic learning media for teacher and students Senior High School. This research was a research and development based on the Hanafin and Peck model which consists of three stages, namely needs analysis, design, and development and implementation. The results of analysis of the development of acid-base electronic chemical comic learning media for High School Students required the validity criteria with the results of the material expert test of 85% with a very valid category, the results of the media validity test getting a value of 78.57% with valid criteria. The results of the practicality test were obtained from the teacher's response of 88.6% with very practical criteria and 82.4% student response with very practical criteria. Based on the results of the study, it could be concluded that the develop of acid-base electronic chemical comic learning media for High School Students is valid and practical to use as learning media.
