Abstract

Having vital memorization or memory is the dream of everyone, including those who want to memorize the Qur’an. However, the facts on the ground are that not all of these memories are directly proportional to everyone’s wishes. One way and effort to have vital memorization is wirid from the Qur’an, as practiced at the Darussalam Islamic Boarding School in Blokagung Banyuwangi, which uses the wirid surah Al-Baqarah. Based on the practices and habits of the Darussalam Islamic boarding school, this research was appointed with a focus on studying the living Qur’an. It is hoped that later an answer can be found from the formula: how does the wirid al-Qur’an (Al-Baqarah) come alive and affect the sharpness of a santri’s memorization? As a methodical step, this research uses a descriptive-qualitative method based on a phenomenon (phenomenological). The results of this study conclude that this memorizing wirid becomes a medium to get closer to Allah by using dhikr taken from pieces of the verses of the Qur'an Surah al-Baqarah has given confidence to its practitioners as a reinforcement for memorizing the Qur’an. 'an and have made the Qur’an.

Abstract

Abstract

This article explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Islamic education from the perspective of the Qur'an, with a focus on ethics and efficiency. In the digital era, the use of AI has revolutionized learning methods through adaptive systems, virtual tutors, and data-driven dynamic curricula. However, such advancements also raise ethical challenges and potential dehumanization in education, especially within Islamic values that emphasize character and moral development. This study adopts a qualitative library research approach, analyzing relevant Qur’anic verses and contemporary Islamic educational literature. The findings indicate that AI offers significant opportunities to enhance learning efficiency but must be governed by the principles of trust, justice, and maqasid al-shari’ah. The Qur’an provides a firm ethical foundation to respond to technological developments while maintaining spiritual integrity. Therefore, AI-based learning in Islamic education should function as a supportive tool that strengthens the role of educators and fosters learners who are not only intellectually capable but also morally upright.

Abstract

This research aims to present a systematic literature review of halal tourism using bibliometric analysis to map its conceptual development, research trends, and future research opportunities within the global academic landscape. Drawing on 262 publications from the Scopus database between 2010 and August 2024, the study reveals significant growth in halal tourism scholarship, particularly in the fields of business, management, and social sciences, with Indonesia and Malaysia emerging as the dominant contributors. Through VOSviewer visualization, the analysis identifies leading authors, influential institutions, and recurring thematic clusters. The findings also uncover critical research gaps, notably the underrepresentation of themes such as religiosity, sustainability, policy making, and customer satisfaction in the halal tourism discourse. These gaps signal the need for a multidimensional research approach that includes qualitative perspectives, socio-cultural frameworks, and policy analysis. This study contributes to global knowledge by offering a comprehensive research roadmap that integrates economic, cultural, and spiritual dimensions of halal tourism. It recommends that future research expand into halal ecotourism, tourism management, and traveller behaviour to ensure inclusive and sustainable development of the industry. The proposed agenda serves as a reference point for scholars, policymakers, and tourism practitioners worldwide to align academic inquiry with emerging needs and global market shifts in Muslim-friendly tourism services.
