Abstract

Paper ini membahas bagaimana media baru berkembang dan membawa berbagai dampak bagi penggunanya. Menggunakan metode penelitian pustaka, secara spesifik penelitian ini membahas implikasi yang timbul dari dua produk media baru yaitu media sosial dan game online. Temuan dari penelitian menggambarkan, bahwa media baru telah merubah karakteristik dari penggunanya, dari yang sebelumnya pengguna atau khalayaknya hanya diposisikan sebagai konsumen, namun saat ini memiliki dua peran sekaligus yaitu konsumen dan produsen. Di antara manfaat dari kehadiran media sosial adalah media sosial difungsikan untuk menjalin komunikasi antar pengguna media sosial, sarana penjualan atau promosi suatu barang dan jasa, sarana praktik jurnalisme warga, dan sarana pembentukan komunitas baru. Adapun permasalahan utama dari kehadiran media sosial adalah penyalahgunaan fitur-fitur media sosial yang digunakan untuk menyebarkan konten-konten bajakan dan pornografi. Beralih pada game online, manfaat dari munculnya game online adalah munculnya kreativitas, kerja sama tim, membentuk komunikasi sosial hingga meningkatnya kemampuan berbahasa Inggris penggunanya. Sedangkan permasalahan pokok dari game online adalah para penggunanya berisiko mengalami kecanduan bermain game yang dapat berdampak pada aspek fisik dan emosional.

Abstract

This research aims to dissect interfaith figures’ symbolic interactionist communication approach in managing religious diversity. Using qualitative ethnographic research, data collection methods in the research used interviews, observation, and documentation. Listed as key informants were ten interfaith figures who were members of the Pekalongan City Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB). The research results show that interfaith figures in Pekalongan City use a symbolic interactionist communication approach in managing religious diversity in Pekalongan City. Among the forms of Symbolic Interactionism are symbols, gestures, language, rituals, education, and intercultural dialogue. The symbolic interactionism approach is also used to support the process of institutionalizing multicultural values which are the foundation for realizing religious harmony in Pekalongan City.

Abstract

In the early days of the Prophet Muhammad's proselytizing, he did not directly deal with economic problems because he had to focus onspreading Islam. The Prophet's economic activities were only carried out while in Medina by managing the government while managing theeconomy. Supported by the command of Allah Almighty. In the Qur'an surah Al Baqarah verse 275, where it is explained that we as Muslimsare encouraged to trade and are prohibited from staying away from usury. Based on this, it can be said that Islam is also very concerned abouteconomic activities. It will be Allah Almighty. Educating his servants through the intermediary of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, one ofwhich was by setting an example in the form of economic system activity at that time. This research is a qualitative research using theliterature study method. Based on the data that has been collected, several things were found that became the basis of the economic systemat the time of the Prophet.

Abstract

Conceptual study of humans as human beings with culture, ethics, and aesthetics is still developing considering that humans are complex entities that still require various understandings. Thus, this article attempts to elaborate on conceptual studies as part of enriching discourse and understanding of humans. This article is a literature review written using a qualitative descriptive approach. From the results of the study, it was found that the pattern of relations between humans and culture cannot be separated from one another. Humans are creators of culture. The creation of culture is the result of human interaction with all aspects of life, both abstractly and concretely. Culture was born because of humans, so as long as humans remain on earth, culture will also remain sustainable. In its development, culture then continues to experience dynamics in dialectics because of the role of humans who carry out or maintain this culture.

Abstract

This research focuses on the design and development of a web-based postpaid electricity payment application for high-rise buildings, specifically for residents of The Mansion Bougenville Apartment. The aim of this application is to simplify and streamline the process of paying electricity bills by automating the calculation of power consumption and enabling online payments. The application allows residents to input their monthly KWH usage, calculates the corresponding bill based on the applicable tariff, and offers various payment methods, such as bank transfers and e-wallets. This system not only reduces errors in manual calculations but also improves the overall efficiency of payment processing by enabling real-time transactions. All payment data is securely stored in the system, providing both transparency and easy access to transaction records for residents and building management. The results of the implementation show that the web-based application has significantly increased the convenience, accuracy, and efficiency of electricity payments for residents of The Mansion Bougenville Apartment, offering an improved alternative to traditional manual payment systems.

Abstract

Teenagers today are less interested in traditional culture. This is due to technological advancements that make the younger generation addicted to gadgets and outside culture. This threatens the existence of traditional culture. One of the threatened cultures is folklore. There are thousands of folktales throughout Indonesia that teach moral values and character education to children and adolescents. Therefore, it is important to reintroduce folklore to the younger generation by adapting it into media that is close to teenagers, namely digital media. One of the lesser-known folktales is a story from Jambi Province. One of them is entitled Rangkayo Hitam. The design of the folklore comic "Rangkayo Hitam" utilizes digital media, namely LINE Webtoon as the main media for reading stories designed by the author. Comic media was chosen because there are illustrations and dialog arranged in sequence according to the chronology of the story, and digital-based so that it can be accessed easily anytime and anywhere. The results of designing a digital comic "Rangkayo Hitam" in the form of comic illustrations with a size of 800 x 1280 pixels that have been uploaded to the LINE Webtoon application in JPG format. This comic consists of 5 episodes with a minimum of 30 panels in each episode. The author also designed supporting media in the form of t-shirts, acrylic standees, tumblers, mugs, mouse pads, acrylic keychain, hat, and poster.

Abstract

Changes that occur in human life in society can be understood as social change. This social change is absolute because it will be experienced by every society wherever and whenever. This article was written with the aim of elaborating on various important things and highlighting several main concepts in social change in society. This is so that the phenomenon of social change in society can be understood more fully. This article was written using a qualitative descriptive method by describing important concepts which are the main points in this article. Data collection is supported by using literature study techniques. From the results of the study, we get a picture that social change as a process of change that occurs in social life always takes place without stopping and will continue along with human existence itself. As a process, social change in a society is not an outcome or finished product. There is a process of mutual agreement or decision taken by each individual or community group. Various agreements in social change in society can be regarding social values, social norms, patterns of organizational behavior, the structure of social institutions, layers in society, power and authority, social interactions and soon.

Abstract

Era disrupsi informasi serta kondisi ketatnya persaingan seperti saat ini, meniscayakan pendidikan menjadi salah satu modal penting bagi manusia untuk dapat bersaing dan mendapatkan kehidupan dengan kualitas yang baik. Lebih jauh, pendidikan tinggi secara formal memegang peran penting dalam peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia di suatu bangsa dan negara agar dapat terus berinovasi di era ini. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan latar belakang utama untuk memberikan informasi dengan lebih detil terkait dengan proses admisi perguruan tinggi keagamaan Islam negeri (PTKIN) sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri yang dapat diakses para lulusan siswa sekolah menegenah atas sederajat. Hal ini dilakukan agar para peserta kegiatan dapat lebih mempersiapkan diri untuk mengikuti proses admisi masuk PTKIN. Dalam hal ini PTKIN dapat menjadi salah satu opsi pendidikan tinggi yang berkualitas sekaligus terjangkau sehingga siswa sekolah menengah atas/sederajat akan mendapatkan kesempatan untuk mendapatkan akses pendidikan tinggi lebih luas. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan metode utama berupa sosialisasi dan pendampingan akses informasi terhadap PTKIN. Dari kegiatan pengabdian didapatkan hasil para peserta antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan yang dibuktikan dengan respon yang baik selama kegiatan. Penyampaian informasi dan pendampingan diberikan agar para peserta dapat mempersiapkan diri dengan baik dalam admisi yang ada di PTKIN.

Abstract

Meningkatnya permintaan tempat tidur lansia mendorong penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kapabilitas proses dan model regresi linier terkait variasi ketinggian tempat tidur lansia, yang merupakan variabel penting untuk kenyamanan dan keselamatan pasien. Data ketinggian tempat tidur dikumpulkan dan dianalisis menggunakan kapabilitas proses dan regresi linier. Hasil analisis kapabilitas proses menunjukkan bahwa proses tidak mampu secara konsisten memenuhi spesifikasi yang ditetapkan, dengan nilai Ppk dan Cpk di bawah 1, menunjukkan variabilitas tinggi dan perlunya perbaikan signifikan. Model regresi linier yang dibangun memiliki R-squared sangat rendah (0.79%), serta adjusted R-squared dan predicted R-squared sebesar 0.00%, menunjukkan model tidak efektif dalam menjelaskan variasi data. Tidak ada variabel independen yang signifikan pada tingkat signifikansi 0.05, dan analisis residual mengidentifikasi beberapa outliers yang signifikan. Uji normalitas menggunakan uji Anderson-Darling menghasilkan P-Value <0.005, mengindikasikan bahwa data tidak mengikuti distribusi normal. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya perbaikan proses dan metode prediksi yang lebih efektif. Direkomendasikan untuk melakukan investigasi lebih lanjut terhadap penyebab variasi dan outliers, serta mempertimbangkan pendekatan non-parametrik atau transformasi data dalam analisis lanjutan. Penelitian ini menyoroti tantangan dalam pengaturan ketinggian tempat tidur dan pentingnya pendekatan statistik yang tepat untuk meningkatkan kapabilitas proses dan akurasi prediksi.
