Abstract

This study aims to create a strategy to increase the productivity of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) through the “Sapu Tangan Biru” Program. This program has reduced unemployment, created entrepreneurial opportunities, and increased Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) even during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research method combines qualitative and quantitative methods (mixed methods). Data collection techniques in this study are interviews, observations, and the distribution of questionnaires to respondents. Data analysis in this study uses descriptive analysis techniques both quantitatively and qualitatively. SWOT matrix analysis, both quantitatively and qualitatively, is used in determining its development strategy. The results of this study are several strategies that MSMEs can carry out in the “Sapu Tangan Biru” Program, namely applying the millennial talent up principle, utilizing the development of technological trends, financial management, product innovation, maintaining business legality, and consumer trust. This strategy is in collaboration with the Millennial Talent Up Collaboration. With this strategy, the productivity of MSMEs Sapu Tangan Biru in Pamekasan can increase significantly.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) play a strategic role in developing individuals who are morally upright and economically independent. However, many pesantren face environmental challenges due to poor waste management. This community service project aimed to implement the green economy concept based on zero waste through thematic learning as a means to enhance the economic independence of pesantren and create a cleaner, healthier environment. The project was conducted at the Sumber Anyar Pamekasan Islamic boarding school, located in the Fatahillah complex, utilizing the ADIED model (Analysis, Design, Implementation, Evaluation, and Development). Activities included socialization, educational training on waste management, hands-on workshops on converting waste into compost and crafts, and evaluation using pre-tests and post-tests. The results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding, with an N-Gain score of 0.76 (high category). These findings demonstrate that integrating thematic learning with green economy principles is effective in raising environmental awareness while generating economic value. The program contributes to the development of a sustainable, environmentally conscious curriculum and empowers students in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

The low level of students’ algebraic reasoning in solving problems on solid geometry material and the limited integration of cultural values in mathematics learning became the background of this study. This research aims to describe the implementation of the collaboration of Javanese–Madura ethnomathematics in lesson study–based mathematics learning and to examine its effect on the algebraic reasoning of students at MIS Al-Maarif Bungah Gresik. The study employed a mixed-method approach with a sequential mixed methods strategy, in which quantitative data were analyzed in the first phase and qualitative data in the second phase. The research instruments consisted of lesson study observation sheets, interviews, and an algebraic reasoning test based on the indicators of understanding problems, making generalizations, forming general algebraic expressions, and solving problems. The sample consisted of 30 fifth-grade students at MIS Al-Maarif Bungah Gresik selected through purposive sampling. Quantitative data were analyzed using n-gain and paired sample t-test, while qualitative data were analyzed using thematic descriptive techniques from observations and interviews. The quantitative findings showed an average pretest score of 50.37 and a posttest score of 78.80, with an n-gain value of 0.646 (moderate category). The paired sample t-test resulted in tcount = 38.961 > ttable= 1.690, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. The qualitative findings revealed an increase in students’ enthusiasm and conceptual understanding, along with a need for continuous practice in the generalization indicator. In conclusion, the collaboration of Javanese–Madura ethnomathematics in lesson study–based learning has a positive effect on students’ algebraic reasoning. These findings imply that the lesson study–based Javanese–Madura ethnomathematics collaboration can be applied practically to improve elementary school students’ algebraic reasoning.
