Abstract

This research aims to explore the students’ perceptions in the English Language Education Study Program at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta regarding the workshop on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in developing listening questions based on local wisdom. The method used is descriptive qualitative involving students as research subjects. Data was collected through the use of questionnaires distributed to students and analysis was carried out using a qualitative approach to understand their views, thoughts and perceptions regarding the use of AI in the context of learning English, especially listening skills. The results of this research provide in-depth insight into how English Language Education students assess the relevance, benefits and obstacles in using AI to develop listening questions that integrate local wisdom. The implications of these findings can be used as a basis for developing a more adaptive and innovative curriculum in the context of English language teaching that accommodates aspects of local wisdom.

Abstract

Direktorat Pembelajaran dan Kemahasiswaan memberi kesempatan kepada para mahasiswa melalui organisasi kemahasiswaan, penerima Program Holistik Pembinaan dan Pemberdayaan Desa (PHP2D) tahun 2020 untuk melanjutkan pemberdayaan desa melalui Program Pengembangan Pemberdayaan Desa (P3D) tahun 2021. UNUGHA melalui UKM Racana Al-Ghazali Al-Adawiyah mengajukan dan memperoleh amanah tersebut. Dari hasil observasi tentang keunikan dan kekayaan SDM yang ada di Desa Kesugihan Kidul dan sekitarnya diperoleh bahwa desa ini memiliki jumlah lembaga pendidikan yang terbilang cukup banyak mulai dari pendidikan anak usia dini hingga perguruan tinggi ada di Desa ini, sehingga profesi warganya juga banyak yang menjadi guru. Dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas para pendidik, tim membuka pendaftaran dan menyeleksi guru untuk selanjutnya mengikuti pelatihan IT pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif dari powerpoint ke aplikasi android. Setelah mengikuti enam kali pelatihan dari tim, para pendidik berhasil membuat pelatihan secara daring dengan kelompoknya. Pada akhir program, para pendidik dinobatkan sebagai Guru Penggerak Desa Kesugihan Kidul yang kedepannya akan selalau berinovasi dan bersinergi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the comparison of the use of dual-band wireless router device resources on the 2.4 GHz 802.11n standard network and 5.8 GHz 802.11ac standard using a 40 MHz frequency using the Linksys EA7500 version 2 router with OpenWrt firmware case study with supporting IPerf3 and HTop applications. The research results obtained in the study compare throughput and resource usage using wireless LAN networks at frequencies of 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. The use of 5.8 GHz frequency in the same frequency (40MHz) range results in higher throughput, which has practical implications for network engineers and researchers. While using CPU and RAM at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, it is concluded that every 1% utilization of the CPU can transfer data at 0.78 Mbit/sec, or 6.24 MBps, and for a frequency of 5.8 GHz, it is 1.11 Mbit/sec, or 8.88 MBps. While in the use of RAM, it is concluded that every 1% of RAM can be used to transfer data 0.32 Mbit/sec or 2.56 MBps for frequency 2.4 GHz and frequency 5.8 GHz, which is 1.32 Mbit/sec or 10.56 MBps.

Abstract

Students in 6th-grade MI Ya BAKII Kesugihan 01 are not well informed about websites and using interactive websites to support their studies. One of the interactive websites is The Scale of The Universe. The website contains one of the materials at school that already being recognized by students, such as science material of the universe subchapter. This community services intended to improve the ability of 6th-grade students of MI Ya BAKII Kesugihan 01 to use interactive web technology and increase students' interest in studying through technology. This community service activity implemented through four phase which are the pre-implementation, the implementation, the monitoring and evaluation, and the post-service phase. The training conducted for the participants used the interactive website "The Scale of The Universe" which has interactions such as zoom-in and zoom-out sequentially to compare the size of objects in the universe, including interactions by clicking an objects to get their descriptions. In addition, there are click and voice control features that help to increase user interest. The results of the training showed three indicators of improvement. There was a 24% improvement in elementary school students' understanding of the difference between computers that are connected or not to the internet. There was an 8% improvement in elementary school students' knowledge of what a website is. Also, there was a 26% improvement in the ability to access the website.
