Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to examine the Acriflavine doses and immersion time on the sex ratio and survival rate of Bagrid catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus. The completely randomized design of factorial was applied in this research (4x2) with 3 replications. The tested doses were 0 mg/L, 2.5 mg/L, 5 mg/L, and 7.5 mg/L and immersion times were 6 hours and 12 hours.  The Anova test showed that Acriflavine doses and immersion times were not influence significantly on survival rate and sex ratio of Hemibagrus nemurus. However, the highest male sex ratio was found 5 mg/L dose and 12 hours immersion time.Keywords : Bagrid catfish, Hemibagrus nemurus, acriflavine, masculinization  Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh dosis akriflavin dan lama perendaman terhadap keberhasilan pembentukan kelamin jantan dan sintasan benih ikan baung yang terbaik. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial (4x2) dengan tiga kali ulangan. Variabel bebas yang diukur adalah kombinasi antara dosis akriflavin (0 mg/L, 2,5 mg/L, 5 mg/L, dan 7,5 mg/L) pada lama perendaman (6 jam dan 12 jam. Hasil uji Anova menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dosis akriflavin dan lama perendaman tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap sintasan dan rasio kelamin ikan baung. Abstract

In fish farming businesses, almost 60-70% of the total production costs are used to purchase feed. The aim of implementing this Community Service Activity (PKM) is to increase partners' knowledge and skills regarding techniques for making independent fish feed so that they can reduce the relatively expensive cost of feed. The method for implementing PKM activities is carried out in several stages, namely socialization and discussion in the form of counseling in the form of in-depth material and training in making independent fish feed. After the training activities are completed, assistance, monitoring and evaluation are carried out. The output of PKM activities is a product in the form of fish feed containing 22.96% protein; water 9.40%; fat 13.66%; ash 17.80% and fiber 8.42%. The fish feed produced has a price of Rp. 6,340/kg, cheaper compared to commercial fish feed of Rp. 11,500,-/kg. Thus, using independent feed for fish farming activities saves Rp. 5,160,- per kilogram.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to evaluate the response of the population abundance of Moina macrocopa to the addition of Spirulina platensis flour into mass culture media. In this research, each added 0 mg/day (control), 500 mg/day, 750 mg/day of  Spirulina platensis, as well as the treatments being tested. As a control, dry manure was used. This research was conducted at the Wet Laboratory (wet lab.) Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarbaru. As an experimental container (experimental unit) were 12 aquariums measuring 45 x 25 x 30 cm. In this research, an experimental design was applied, namely Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Statistical testing using Test F or ANOVA with a significant level of 5% and 1%. The further statistical analysis used for the significant treatment calculated F value was Duncan's Test (DMRT). The results showed that at the peak of the abundance of Moina macrocopa (day 21), the highest population was in treatment B = 708 ind/liter, followed by treatment C=535.33 ind and treatment A=70.66 ind/liter. The results of statistical tests (ANOVA) showed that there was no significant difference (F < Ftable 0.05) in the abundance of Moina macrocopa in the three mass culture media added with Spirulina platensis flour.

Abstract

Air bersih merupakan kebutuhan dasar yang harus terpenuhi bagi manusia karena berperan vital dalam menjaga kesehatan, kebersihan, dan kesejahteraan. Namun akses air bersih tidak dapat dirasakan merata oleh seluruh masyarakat di Indonesia. Salah satu desa yang mengalami masalah ini adalah Desa Pembantanan, Kabupaten Banjar, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Dari 996 KK tersebar dalam 12 RT di wilayah Desa Pembantanan, hampir 50% belum memiliki kesempatan mendapatkan akses air bersih. Akses oleh sumber air diperburuk ketika kualitas air baku juga menurun lebih jauh hingga menyebabkan air hampir tidak layak untuk digunakan. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu warga desa memperoleh solusi yang berkelanjutan terhadap penyediaan air bersih. Metode yang diterapkan adalah survei lapangan seperti pemetaan lokasi sumber air, analisis kualitas air dan diskusi dengan masyarakat tentang kebutuhan dan desain unit yang sesuai dengan mengingat sumber air di desa tersebut. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui program Kosabangsa ini ditujukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih bagi 70 KK di RT 1 dan 2 Desa Pembantanan. Dengan menggunakan bahan baku air sungai di sekitar desa. Desain alat pengolahan air yang dipasang memiliki kapasitas produksi mencapai 2190 L/jam yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan warga di 2 RT.

Abstract

Toman fish seeds (Channa micropeltes) generally come from natural catches in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan. A closed system is an effort to efficiency transportation costs by increasing the density of fish in transport media. Efforts to reduce stress levels are very important so that they can transport a lot, have small deaths, and take a longer time, and do not disturb the physiology of the fish after transportation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving 3 ppt salt in transport media to the survival of fish during transportation. This research consists of two stages of activity, that is stage one is transportation for 12 hours and stage two was post-transportation maintenance for 11 days. In stage one, the plastic bag is filled with 10 L of water and is packed according to the treatment. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments 3 refitition to produce 12 experimental units. K treatment density of 30 heads / bag with no salt water (0 ppt) and treatment A: B: C with density (30: 50: 70) tail / bag with salt water (3 ppt). The calculation of the highest survival rate in treatment A was 97.80%. The results of analysis of varians (ANOVA) that the treatment has a real effect on survival rate in fish seed transport toman. Abstract

Chlorella sp is a type of natural feed that is given to the fish larvae. Chlorella sp. culture requires fertilizer that serves as a food source to stimulate its growth. Fertilization for Chlorela culture media can utilize bean sprout waste because it is rich in element of N and enriched with the addition of eco enzymes. Eco enzyme is the result of fermentation of organic waste such as fruit waste, sugar and water which produces enzymes that help in the process of accelerating the overhaul of organic matter. This study aims to analyze the growth of chlorella with the addition of eco enzyme to the culture media of bean sprout waste extract. The research was carried out by an experimental method using a Complete Random Design with 4 treatments and 3 replicates, namely Chlorella sp. culture on bean sprout waste extract media with the addition of eco enzyme as much as 0.5,10,15 mL per liter for 15 days. The results showed that the treatment of bean sprout waste extract culture media with the addition of eco enzyme as much as 10 mL/L. gave the population of Chlorella sp. the highest was 106.6×106 cells/mL with an average growth rate of 21 ×106 cells/mL. The average growth rate of Chlorella sp. in each treatment ranged from 17% – 29%. The growth curve of Chlorella sp. during the 15-day culture showed that the treatment without the addition of eco enzyme in the bean sprout waste extract medium experienced a longer adaptation phase than the others. The quality of water and nutrients during the culture is in a good range for the growth of Chlorella sp. Further research can evaluate the use of eco enzymes for the growth of other microalgae and the and using different organic waste extracts.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan pembudidaya ikan khususnya yang melakukan aktivitas usaha pembenihan ikan betok (Anabas Testudineus Bloch) secara tradisional melalui kegiatan ceramah dan unjuk kerja.  Pada awal  kegiatan hampir seluruh peserta tidak tahu sama sekali tentang aspek-aspek yang berkaitan dengan krustasea mikro yaitu Daphnia yang hidup di perairan alami serta cara membudidayakannya, dimana rata-rata nilai per responden per pertanyaan sebelum kegiatan penyuluhan (Xrp) adalah 0,304. Namun setelah kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan ternyata pengetahuan dan ketrampilan pembudidaya ikan meningkat, dimana rata-rata nilai per responden per pertanyaan (Yrp) adalah   3,268.  Berdasarkan uji statistik diketahui terdapat perbedaan yang sangat nyata antara jawaban-jawaban yang diberikan peserta kegiatan pada saat awal dan akhir kegiatan (X2 = 71,1832 > X2 (0,01 = 16,81) ). Dari hasil praktik langsung yang dilakukan oleh peserta kegiatan diperoleh angka pertumbuhan populasi Daphnia  rata-rata sebanyak 1671% dengan jumlah populasi rata-rata sebanyak 5013 ind./liter.
