Abstract

There are at least five phenomena which mark the complexity of maritime culture and fisherman tradition in Indonesia; social group of the maritime society, the development of economic sectors concerning sea products, social hierarchy in the daily maritime activities, the relationship between the elements of maritime culture and life sectors of the society, and the continuation and alteration of maritime culture's elements. In order to acquire a deep study on the complexity of maritime culture, there are several concepts used in this paper: Koentjaraningrat's concept of "three forms of culture", Sanjek's concept of "the dynamic culture and creation", and Vadya's concept of "contextual progressive explanatory method". The forms of maritime culture include the system of culture, belief, institution, and production technology. Meanwhile, the dynamics of maritime culture and fisherman tradition is determined not only by the internal factors but also the external forces, such as, innovation on technology, government policy, university interventions, nongovernmental organizations, donor institution, and regional, national, and even global market. Apparently, those external forces have brought negative impacts on the life of maritime society, marked by the decrease of economic prosperity, natural resources and sea environment. The negative impacts can be avoided by applying community-based management in the development of maritime culture

Abstract

Perifiton whose life is attached to the substrate, acts as a provider of nutrients and indicators of fishery water quality. The purpose of this study was to analyze the structure, abundance and diversity of epiphytic and epidendric periphyton in floating net cages and water quality. This research was conducted by purposive sampling in upstream, middle and downstream. The method used is exploratory quantitative, from May and June 2021 with sampling time at the beginning of each month. The main phytoplankton periphyton composition consists of Chlorophyceae and Bacillariophyceae. Chlorophyceae increased from 19 genera at the beginning of the observation to 24 genera, while Bacillariophyceae decreased from 22 to 21 genera. Phytoplankton periphytons that were always present in each observation both at STA-1, STA-2 and STA-3 were Synedra, Diatoma, Tabellaria, Fragillaria, Zygnema, Spirogyra, Mougeotiopsis, Microspora, Chlorodesmis cosmosa and Closterium. Unstable community structure with an abundance of 600 – 1320 cells/liter, uniformity index 0.53 – 0.884, diversity index 1.104 – 1.750 and dominance index 0.14 -0.47 classified as oligotropic. Similar periphyton upstream and midstream, but different downstream. The presence of Synedra in all locations indicates that there has been a decline in water quality due to low dissolved oxygen. Water quality at the site informs that low pH, high ammonia and high organic matter result in low dissolved oxygen.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (a) mengidentifikasi pengaruh bahan pencemar dalam limbahcair tahu dan sasirangan berdasarkan analisis kualitas air; (b) menganalisis pertumbuhan dankemampuan survive Parupuk (Phragmites karka) dan Kiambang (Salvinia molesta) sebagaibiofilter; (c) menilai kemampuan jenis tumbuhan tersebut dalam mengabsropsi pencemar limbahcair; (d) menganalisis kualitas air lingkungan perairan kolam limbah. Tahapan kegiatan penelitianyaitu pembuatan desain instalasi, pemasukan limbah cair baik sasirangan dan tahu ke kolaminstalasi dengan model sub surface (SF) untuk Phragmites karka di limbah sasirangan dantahu yang dibandingkan dengan model surface flow system (SSF) dengan dukungan floatingplant Salvinia molesta. Metode deskriptif dan uji one-way anova yang digunakan dalampenelitian. Tingkat efektifitas pemanfaatan Phragmites karka terhadap parameter kolam limbahsasirangan dan tahu yang dianalisis dapat menurunkan unsur bahan pencemar rata-rata sebesar30% dan cenderung terus menurun berdasarkan retensi waktu dibandingkan dengan Salviniamolesta. Analisis statistik terhadap tiap komponen lingkungan di kolam limbah yang berbedasecara nyata dialami parameter BOD dan pH yang dapat direduksi oleh Phragmites karkadan Salvinia molesta menuju kondisi yang sesuai dengan baku mutu lingkungan baik sesuaiPeraturan Gubernur Kalsel No. 036 Tahun 2008 yang diacu baik di air limbah tahu dansasirangan.

Abstract

This research aimed to: (a) identified and delineated coverage coral reef area on coastal Angsana based on value spectral; (b) coral reef area’s calculated; (c) coral reef area’s mapping conditions and (d) Estimated of water quality on coastal study area based on field algorithm model. Methods employed in this research was combined field survey, remote sensing and water quality. The result obtained Aster band 321 discovered three of class habitat coral with coverage life coral in middle, sands and rubble mixed on fringing reef and seagrass not found. Life coral discovered on station 1 (6 hectare) and Aster (5 hectare), based on component of population most coral dead dominated on station 1 (3,5 hectare) and (2,5 hectare), minority of larges on station 5 (1,5 hectare survey; 0,5 hectare Aster). Coral with fair conditions on station 2,3,5 with percent coverage 43,59%; 26,45%; 25,2%, poor on station 4 (22,06%) and 6 (12,0%), the best category on station 1 (69,6%). Statistic model discovered for salinity ( 0/00 ) = 18,780 - 560,659 (B6 (B4+B5)).

Abstract

Periphyton group are biota communities that be able adapt and grow well in lentic waters. Their habits are adhere to a permanent location. Aquatic vegetation in Bangkau can influenced the periphyton abundance and diversity as natural food in the food chain. The purpose of this study was to analyzed abundance and diversity of Periphyton from different aquatic vegetation. The research was conducted in three stations by purposive sampling. The method used was quantitative explored. The data that has been taken were epiphythic periphyton samples. Periphyton sampling procedures, preservation, and analysis were carried out based on Indonesian National Standard methods. Bangkau’s peatland had the highest abundance of phytoplankton-periphyton (9982 sel/liter) in inlet, but low at middle station (778 sel/liter). Zooplankton-periphyton (553 sel/liter) in middle station was the highest abundance whereas in outlet station (153 sel/liter) was the lowest. Bacillariophyceae had predominant and always attendanced Oscillatoria, Closterium, Planktonella, Diatom, meanwhile zooplankton-periphyton dominated Ciliophora in all stations and sampling. Diversity index of phytoplankton-periphyton in inlet station (1,55) was the highest and in inlet (0,77) was the lowest. Zooplankton-periphyton in middle (1,76) and outlet (0,94) was different based on Shannon wiener’s Index. The abundance index of Bangkau were mesotrophic categorized for phytoplankton-periphyton and oligotrophic for zooplankton-periphyton. Due to the low level of species diversity (H’≤ 3) showed moderate stability and for the water quality conditions was moderate polluted.

Abstract

The purpose of this study 1) assess the ability of aquatic plants Salvinia molesta, Eleocharis dulcis and Phragmites karka in reducing pollutant effluent, Zinc, DO, temperature, pH, BOD, COD, TSS, Turbidity  and Ammonia (NH3) in the rubber industry wastewater, 2) compare the water potential of plants to absorb pollutants wastewater rubber; 3) assess the status of the marine environment of rubber wastewater ponds to three (3) water treatment plant, the heavy metals zinc (Zn) in liquid waste rubber. The results of the study resulted in plant water Purun Rat able to reduce BOD by 64%, COD by 17% and Turbidity by 80%, water kiambang able to lower Zinc by 49% and TSS by 70%, water plant perupuk able to reduce ammonia (NH3) by 23%. Stable temperature and pH value in each pool plant installation, the results of research conducted in this value in the effluent water quality rubber has not met the quality standard of waste according to Government Regulation No. 8 of 2001 concerning Management of Water Quality and Water Pollution Control. Abstract

This research aimed (a) to find out the changes of the value of water quality parameters in domestic household waste by using perupuk (Phragmites karka) and Effective Microorganisms (EM); (b) to prensent the changes in values of water quality parameter; and (c) to compare the value of water quality parameter on phytoremediation, bioremediation and both of combinations. The study was conducted by using 3 treatments, 4 repetitions and 1 control. The data obtained from the research was quantitative data that was processed by One Way Anova analysis with advanced test using LSD and Duncan test with trust level (sig) = 0.05.The results obtained from this study is that in water reservoir the combination of EM4 and Perupuk (Phragmites karka) was the best treatment in this study that have been executed. The combination of two treatments that were able to repair four of the seven water quality parameters are DO (-31.48%), BOD5 (99.57%), COD (99.87%), and TSS (92.41%) from standard of environment quality in Peraturan Pemerintah (PP) No.82 tahun 2001 Kelas II

Abstract

This research aimed to analyzed conditions and water quality’s status void pit 4 Pinang with compared vertical level depth. Methods used ANOVA-One Way for compared contributed physical and chemical water between station and combined stándar baku mutu PP 82/2001. The results obtained that self purification process for fixed void and temperature, TSS, DO, COD, N, Hg and Fe on surface water are all station, sig. anova TSS, COD (0.000) ά = 5% compared temperature, TSS, DO, COD, N and Fe on 20 meters depth. Dominance TSS as limiting factor void for photosynthesis. Genera Oscillatoria indicated water polluted more environment index (diversity, dominance, Eveness) over polluted status.Temperature, TSS, DO, COD, N and P suitable for biota’s live and baku mutu air class III uses for aquaculture, irigation, and agriculture.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan usaha pengolahan aneka penganan dengan memanfaatkan potensi mangrove lokal sebagai bahan baku produk. Sedangkan target kegiatan adalah (a) penggunaan bahan baku alternatif pengganti tepung menjadi tepung mangrove sebanyak 20-30%; (b) mengadopsi dan inovasi teknologi pengolahan buah dan daun mangrove untuk bahan baku produk; (c) memanfaatkan bahan baku produk yang berasal dari mangrove sebagai aneka produk penganan bernilai ekonomis; (d) membuat aneka produk penganan olahan dari mangrove sebagai alternatif musim panceklik ikan di laut; (e) pengemasan produk penganan (f) meningkatan kapasitas manajemen usaha dan pemasaran aneka produk penganan mangrove. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode FGD kepada kelompok-kelompok masyarakat pengolah produk perikanan di Desa Batakan yang telah melakukan kegiatan pengolahan krupuk dan ikan kering. Sedangkan kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan keterampilan diberikan sebagai paket alih teknologi pada setiap program agar khalayak sasaran atau mitra. Teknik skoring dari hasil evaluasi menginformasikan bahwa 80% peningkatan pengetahuan teknik pemilihan/sortasi mangrove sebagai bahan utama, teknik penghilangan tanin dan HCN 55%, 65% peningkatan pemakaian bahan baku tepung berbahan mangrove, 75% pengetahuan pengolahan aneka produk penganan berbahan mangrove, perbaikan desain dan teknik pengemasan 60% serta labelisasi produk dan peningkatan kapasitas manajemen usaha pemasaran produk olahan sebesar 60%.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kegiatan budidaya nila salin dengan memanfaatkan bekas tambak udang yang tidak diusahakan pemilik dengan target kegiatan (a) meningkatnya survival rate (SR) nila salin sebanyak 60%; (b) meningkatkan ukuran panen 0,2 kilogram/ekor dengan jumlah 3500 kg/4 bulan; (c) mengadopsi inovasi teknologi budidaya nila salin untuk pembesaran dalam lahan tambak Non Produktif; (d) meningkatkan kualitas air dan pakan alami tambak dengan bioremediasi; (e) mempercepat pertumbuhan nila salin dan optimalisasi pakan dalam dan (f) meningkatan kapasitas manajemen usaha produk olahan. Metode yang digunakan adalah FGD (Focus group of Discussion) untuk meminta masukan, permasalahan dan sosialisasi program-program IbM budidaya nila salin kepada mitra usaha pemilik tambak Non Produktif. Identifikasi potensi dan permasalahan, Penyuluhan dan Pelatihan Keterampilan diberikan sebagai paket alih teknologi pada setiap program agar khalayak sasaran atau mitra dapat menguasai secara teori maupun teknis adopsi teknologi yang diberikan. Tahapan kegiatan telah dilaksanakan berupa introduksi nila salin, teknik jaring apung, metode perbaikan kualitas air dan sistem kelola air tambak, teknik pemilihan/sortasi ikan, metode introduksi pembuatan pakan dengan probiotik, pembuatan pakan alami dan penjadwalan, pelatihan strategi pemasaran agar menguntungkan, pengenalan produk olahan yang telah diselesaikan selama 8 bulan. Lokasi berada di Kelompok Usaha Bersama RT 9 dan RT 10 Desa Wisata Pantai Takisung Kalimantan Selatan. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan dengan teknik skoring 80% meningkatnya keterampilan kelompok mitra dalam pembuatan unit budidaya nila di bekas tambak, survival rate 58 %, ukuran panen selama 4 bulan 52% dengan ukuran 0,2 kg/ekor, 70% perbaikan tingkat pengetahuan kelompok tentang jadwal pemberian pakan dan optimalisasi pakan serta 60% kapasitas manajemen usaha dan produk budidaya.
