Abstract

EnglishThe Coffee and Farmer Equity (CAFE) Practices is a sustainable coffee farming and handling program initiated by Starbucks Coffee Company. The CAFE Practices program offers economic benefits through increased coffee productivity and quality, better market access, and higher coffee prices. The program, however, potentially increases the production costs needed to implement better cultivation practices according to the CAFE Practices protocol. This study aims to analyze the impact of CAFE Practices program on coffee farming income in Enrekang Regency, and to track down the income impact pathways. This study used primary data from 200 coffee farmers in Enrekang Regency. The data were analyzed using the Propensity Score Matching method. The results showed that the CAFE Practices participating farmers had 18.55% higher farm income than non-CAFE Practices farmers. The change in the CAFE Practices participating farmers was due to increasing farm productivity by 16.66%, increasing production costs by 24.38%, and increasing selling prices by 2.95%. CAFE Practices farmers should be able to maintain or increase their coffee productivity and quality in order to continue to receive high incomes. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak Program CAFE Practices terhadap pendapatan usaha tani kopi di Kabupaten Enrekang, serta menganalisis perubahan komponen pendapatan yang merupakan jalur dampak perubahan pendapatan tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan data primer dari 200 petani kopi di Kabupaten Enrekang yang dikumpulkan pada bulan Juli–Agustus 2021. Data dianalisis dengan metode Propensity Score Matching. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petani kopi yang berpartisipasi dalam Program CAFE Practices memperoleh pendapatan usaha tani 18,55% lebih tinggi dibandingkan petani yang tidak berpartisipasi. Perubahan pendapatan disebabkan oleh peningkatan produktivitas kopi sebesar 16,66%, peningkatan biaya produksi sebesar 24,38%, dan peningkatan harga jual kopi sebesar 2,95%. Petani yang berpartisipasi dalam Program CAFE Practices harus dapat mempertahankan atau meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas kopi yang dihasilkan agar tetap dapat menerima pendapatan yang tinggi. Petani kopi juga membutuhkan dukungan pembiayaan dari pemerintah dan/atau Starbucks agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan biaya yang tinggi atas penerapan Program CAFE Practices.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat kampung warmon Kokoda terhadap bahaya stunting, sehingga dengan pemahaman yang dimiliki masyarakat mampu melakukan pencegahan stunting secara mandiri. Selanjutnya, kegiatan ini juga dapat mengelaborasi pengetahuan dasar terkait stunting melalui makanan sehat, pola asuh dan pola hidup bersih sertaa sehat. Sehingga dengan adanya Pendidikan melalui sekolah masyarakat pedalaman (SAMPAN) ini mampu memberikan dampak percepatan/akselerasi penurunan kasus stunting di Kampung Warmon Kokoda Papua Barat. Jumlah Peserta dalam kegiatan SAMPAN ini adalah 100 Orang. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan Tahapan 1. Persiapan, 2. Pelaksanaan, 3. Pendampingan, 4. Monitoring dan Evaluasi, 5. Rencana Tindak Lanjut. Hasil darikegiatan ini adalah terdapat peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terkait stunting sebesar 60,8% hal ini berdasarkan hasil test di akhir program SAMPAN.

Abstract

China is the largest importer of seaweed globally, and Indonesia is one of the countries that exports seaweed to China. Other exporting countries such as Chile and Peru also supply seaweed to China. This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of Indonesian seaweed (HS 121229) in comparison to seaweed from other exporting countries and to investigate the demand for Indonesian seaweed and other seaweed-exporting countries in the Chinese market. The study utilized export data from exporting countries that supplied China's seaweed requirements between 2012 and 2021. Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA) and Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) were used for data analysis. The findings revealed that Indonesian seaweed (HS 121229) has a comparative advantage in the Chinese market. However, Indonesian seaweed's comparative advantage is still lower than its competitors. The demand for Indonesian seaweed in the Chinese market is inelastic. Therefore, to increase Indonesian seaweed's export income, exports should be increased rather than lowering prices. To reinforce Indonesia's position in the Chinese seaweed market, Indonesia should collaborate with other exporting countries that complement Indonesia's efforts, such as Chile.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pelatihan pembukuan keuangan untuk pembuatan kompos dan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) sangat penting dalam mendukung keberlanjutan usaha berbasis lingkungan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Manajemen keuangan yang baik memungkinkan kelompok usaha untuk mengelola modal, mencatat arus kas, dan mengevaluasi keuntungan secara lebih sistematis, sehingga usaha dapat berkembang secara berkelanjutan.Pelatihan pembukuan keuangan untuk pembuatan kompos dan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan manajemen keuangan kelompok Wanita Osok yang berlokasi di Jalan Osok, Aimas, Kecamatan/Distrik Aimas, Kabupaten Sorong, Papua Barat Daya. Permasalahan utama adalah kurangnya pengetahuan terkait pembukuan yang efektif, mengakibatkan kurang optimalnya pengelolaan usaha kompos dan POC mereka. Kegiatan ini melibatkan sosialisasi, penyuluhan, dan praktikal dengan 21 anggota kelompok wanita. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan kemampuan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan softskill dalam pengelolaan keuangan sebesar 80%. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan nilai ekonomis usaha kompos dan POC dengan efisiensi produksi dan kemampuan pencatatan yang lebih baik. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung keberlanjutan usaha organik kelompok wanita Osok dalam meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga dan kesejahteraan anggota.Abstract: Financial bookkeeping training for composting and Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) is very important in supporting the sustainability of environmentally-based businesses and improving community welfare. Good financial management allows business groups to manage capital, record cash flow, and evaluate profits more systematically, so that businesses can develop sustainably..Financial bookkeeping training for making compost and Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) was carried out with the aim of improving the financial management capabilities of the Osok Women's group located on Jalan Osok, Aimas, Aimas District/District, Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua. The main problem is a lack of knowledge regarding effective bookkeeping, resulting in less than optimal management of their compost and POC businesses. This activity involved socialization, counseling and practical work with 21 women's group members. Evaluation is carried out through pre-test and post-test to measure improvement in ability. The results show an increase in soft skills in financial management by 80%. Apart from that, there has been an increase in the economic value of the compost and POC business with production efficiency and better recording capabilities. It is hoped that this training can support the sustainability of the Osok women's group's organic business in increasing family income and members' welfare.

Abstract

Bisnis di bidang kuliner terutama makanan cepat saji sangat menjamur di beberapa tempat, salah satu bisnis tersebut adalah mini resto Dewe Fried Chiken (DFC). Dalam kurun waktu tertentu mini resto DFC sangat di sukai dan diminati banyak pembeli dengan berbagai kalangan usia. Mini resto Dewe Fried Chiken (DFC) meski sudah menjamur pada tujuh lokasi yang strategis akan tetapi muncul sebuah ancaman dengan munculnya kompetitor di bisnis serupa, hal ini yang menjadi tantangan agar bisnis DFC tetap eksis bersaing dengan kompetitor yang melakukan banyak terobosan. Tujuan penelitian (1) menganalisis pengaruh kualitas pelayanan secara individu terhadap loyalitas pelanggan (2) menganalisis pengaruh kepuasan pelanggan secara individu terhadap loyalitas pelanggan (3) menganalisis pengaruh kualitas pelayanan dan kepuasan pelanggan secara bersama-sama terhadap loyalitas pelanggan. Teknik penelitian ini melibatkan non-probability sampling, peneliti menggunakan teknik penelitian ini atas dasar estimasi keterbatasan Sumber daya meliputi waktu dan biaya. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Accidental sampling sebagai metode pengambilan quesioner. Hasil uji PLS-SEM (1) kualitas pelayanan memiliki pengaruh nilai positif terhadap loyalitas pelanggan sebesar 0,373. (2) kepuasan pelanggan memiliki pengaruh nilai positif lebih kuat sebesar 0,466. (3) Secara bersama-sama memiliki pengaruh nilai positif terhadap loyalitas pelanggan sebesar 0,564.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the productivity of lettuce agriculture and the economic welfare of the indigenous Papuan people in Sorong Regency. Sorong Regency is still very dependent on other regions to meet the needs of vegetables because vegetable productivity in Sorong Regency is still very low and people's interest in becoming farmers is still very low, which causes the need for local food, especially vegetables. Low knowledge and skills of members of the Osok Women's Group (75% did not graduate from elementary school). The Osok women's group is dominated by indigenous Papuans who do not have sedentary jobs and have low education. There has been no effort developed in the Osok Women's Group and has not been maximized in the organizational arrangement of the group. The solution to the problems faced by Osok women is by conducting socialization and training in making compost planting media. The use of compost planting media was chosen because compost is proven to increase soil fertility naturally, is environmentally friendly, and has lower production costs compared to chemical fertilizers. This activity involves socialization and training to local communities regarding the manufacture and application of compost planting media in lettuce cultivation. Through composting techniques using local organic materials, such as plant residues, and organic waste. The stages of implementing the service are preparation, interviews, socialization of making compost planting media, training in making compost planting media, evaluation and reporting. The results of this activity show that this service activity shows several important results, both from agricultural and socio-economic aspects of the community. There is an increase in the knowledge and skills of the Osok Women's Group by 100%. 80% of organic household waste is converted into compost and there is an increase in household income of 5-10%. This activity has had a positive impact on the indigenous Papuan community in Sorong Regency, especially in optimizing the potential in a sustainable manner and increasing income. This program is expected to continue to grow and provide long-term benefits for the welfare of the local community.

Abstract

Abstract Agricultural extension workers have an important role in the development of Indonesian agriculture because they are agents of change and are the spearheads who are directly related to farmers. In this case, agricultural extension workers are needed to help the success of production and solve problems faced by farmers in carrying out their farming activities. The objectives of the study were (1) To identify the role of agricultural extension workers on rice field production in Mariat District, Sorong Regency, and (2) To determine the influence of the role of agricultural extension workers on rice field production in Mariat District, Sorong Regency. The study was conducted from August to October 2023 in Mariat District, Sorong Regency. Data were collected through interviews with questionnaires, the number of respondents was 24 people. The data collected were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and continued with multiple linear regression analysis. The results obtained showed that the role of extension workers was as a motivator with a weight of 63%, educator 54%, consultant 58%, and facilitator 67%. The role of extension workers as motivators, educators, and consultants has a significant influence on lowland rice production, while the role of agricultural extension workers as facilitators does not have a significant influence on lowland rice production in Mariat District, Sorong Regency.Keywords: Role, Agricultural Extension Workers, Lowland Rice ProductionAbstrak Penyuluh pertanian mempunyai peran yang penting dalam pembanguan pertanian Indonesia karena sebagai agen perubahan dan, merupakan ujung tombak yang langsung berhubungan dengan petani. Dalam hal ini, penyuluh pertanian dibutuhkan guna membantu keberhasilan produksi dan menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi petani dalam melaksanakan kegiatan usaha taninya. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) Mengidentifikasi peran penyuluh pertanian pada usahatani padi sawah di Distrik Mariat Kabupaten Sorong, dan (2) Mengetahui pengaruh peran penyuluh pertanian terhadap produksi padi sawah di Distrik Mariat Kabupaten Sorong. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan Oktober 2023 di Distrik Mariat Kabupaten Sorong. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan bantuan kuesioner, jumlah responden adalah sebanyak 24 orang. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa peran penyuluh adalah sebagai motivator memperoleh bobot 63%, edukator 54%, konsultator 58%, dan fasilitator 67%. Peran penyuluh sebagai motivator, edukator, dan konsultator berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap produksi padi sawah sedangkan peran penyuluh pertanian sebagai fasilitator tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap produksi padi sawah di Distrik Mariat Kabupaten Sorong.
