Abstract

The aim of the present study was develop and validate HPLC method for the simultaneous assay of metamizole, thiamine and pyridoxine in tablet. Metamizole is a substance that is easily hydrolyzed in the presence of water and oxygen. To inhibit the hydrolysis of metamizole during sample preparation prior to HPLC analysis. Sodium sulfite is added and its optimum concentration was investigated. The chromatographic system includes a RP C8(2) column (150x4.6 mm, 5 µm particle size) in conjunction with Photo Diode Array (PDA) detector. The optimal chromatographic condition was obtained using a mobile phase consisting of phosphate buffer 35mM pH 3.0: methanol (80:20), flowrate 1.0 mL/min, and 10 µl injection volume. The metamizole, thiamine and pyridoxine were detected at 275 nm. The hydrolysis of metamizole was successfully inhibited by adding solution containing 1.5 mg/mL sodium sulfite to solvent and 0.5 mg/mL sodium sulfite to mobile phase. The validation results indicate a good specificity and a linear detector responses with r>0.999. The accuracy (% recovery) for metamizole, thiamine and piridoxine were 100.26%; 99.09%; and 100.03%, respectively. The method yields good precision with RSD of metamizole, thiamine and pyridoxine were 2.0912%; 1.4489%; and 0.8418%, respectively. The validated method was successfully applied for simultaneous assay of metamizole, thiamine and pyridoxine in tablet.

Abstract

Lip cream adalah salah satu jenis lipstik yang memiliki karakteristik liquid dan diaplikasikan pada bibir untuk menentukan bentuk dan memberi warna serta perlindungan terhadap lingkungan sekitar bibir. Rhodamin-B adalah zat warna sintetis yang memiliki bentuk serbuk kristal, tidak berbau, berwarna merah keunguan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahi panjang gelombang maksimal dari Rhodamin-B, kondisi optimum metode analisis Rhodamin-B secara Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi serta mengetahui kadar Rhodamin-B pada sampel lip cream yang beredar di aplikasi belanja online. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Kimia Terpadu STIKES Bhakti Husada Mulia Madiun. Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 sampel lip cream yang dijual di aplikasi belanja online. Penentuan panjang gelombang maksimal dilakukan pada rentang panjang gelombang 400-800 nm. Penetuan kondisi optimum dilakuakan pada panjang gelombang maksimal terpilih, fase diam kolom C18, panjang kolom 250 mm, ukuran partikel 5 μm, detektor visible, laju alir 1 ml/menit, volume injeksi 20 μL, dan komposisi fase gerak menggunakan methanol: air: asetonitril. Sampel lip cream di ekstraksi selama 2 jam, kemudian di saring dan di injeksikan pada kolom KCKT. Hasil penelitan penentuan Panjang gelombang maksimal Rhodamin-B adalah 554 nm, kondisi optimum KCKT untuk analisis Rhodamin-B laju alir 1 ml/menit, volume injeksi 20 μL, panjang gelombang 554 nm dengan fase gerak methanol: asetonitril: air (47:47:6), fase diam kolom C18, suhu 25 oC, serta memenuhi syarat kesesuaian sistem. Kandungan Rhodamin-B yang terdapat pada sampel lip creambuntuk sampel A sebesar 2,023 ± 0,1880, sampel B sebesar 1,100 mg/L ± 0,0177 dan sampel C sebesar 5,101 mg/L ± 0,531. Abstract

One of the non-pharmacological treatments in tuberculosis patients is the fulfillment of good nutrition. Complete nutrition in meat is able to keep the body healthier, thus preventing the outbreak of tuberculosis. Meat used to fulfill nutritional needs in an effort to prevent tuberculosis needs to be considered halal. Knowledge about halal meat as nutrition to prevent tuberculosis needs to be given to the community, both those who have been exposed and those who have not. Garon Village, Kawedanan Subdistrict, Magetan Regency is an area where the community has not been exposed to tuberculosis, but the area is cold in the Bancak mountainous area so the potential for people to contract tuberculosis is very high. Therefore, counseling is needed to increase community knowledge about the importance of halal meat consumption as an effort to fulfill nutrition to prevent tuberculosis. The result of this counseling was an increase in knowledge about the benefits of halal meat consumption to prevent tuberculosis by 85.3%. This value can be a reference that this service activity has an impact on the community.

Abstract

Lavender is a plant that has various potentials to be developed in various therapeutic aspects, especially as an immunomodulator. Lavender oil is an active ingredient that has quite a lot of potential to be developed as the latest therapeutic agent where its use can be used by inhalation, aromatherapy massage, aromatherapeutic baths, and saunas. The results of metabolomic analysis from previous research results lavender contains alpha-pinene (0.44%), camphene (0.30%), beta-pinene (0.41%), beta mycene (1.11%), acetic acid (0. .74%), limonene (1.50%), cineole (4.72), linalool (36.55%), camphor (3.16%), terpinine-4-ol (2.07%), linalyl acetate (32.54), geranyl acetate (1.79%), nerly acetate (1.14%), and caryophyllene (7.55%). Thyme can decrease the production and gene expression of pro-inflammatory mediators, including Tumor Necrosis Factor-? (TNF-?), interleukin-(IL) 1B, and IL-6, and increase the marker for the anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10. Chamomile is also used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases. Borage has gamma linoleic acid, which suppresses TNF-?. It increases prostaglandin-E levels leading to augmentation of cyclic adenosine monophosphate. Efforts need to be made to develop lavender as a herbal therapeutic in the context of modern plant biotechnology through a primordial stage (callus) tissue culture approach, biotic elicitors, and Cas-9.

Abstract

Telang flower kombucha has been widely studied as a probiotic drink that can boost the immune system which in recent research has various pharmacological activities as a source of antimicrobials, especially in health problems related to dental disease. Previous studies and this is still a renewable research has found that mouthwash formulations and preparations made from an active ingredient of seagrass kombucha fermented solution have been shown to be able to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, and Streptococcus mutans. This study aims to make toothpaste formulations and preparations with an active ingredient of telang flower kombucha fermented solution as a pharmaceutical biotechnology product designed to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and mutant Streptococcus bacteria as well as pathogenic fungi in the form of Candida albicans species. This type of research is a laboratory experiment in which we make a toothpaste base without the active substance as a negative control. Provide toothpaste that is sold in the market as a positive control. Make formulations and preparations of toothpaste with active ingredients from the fermented butterfly pea flower kombucha solution which includes concentrations of 20%, 30% and 40%. Data analysis was used through one way ANOVA where in the results of the study each preparation had a P value <0.05, so that further tests could be carried out through post hoc analysis. eggplant at a concentration of 40% was significantly different from 20% and 30% as a pharmaceutical biotechnology product in inhibiting the growth of the three test microbes and the results of this study it can be concluded that the formulation and preparation of toothpaste made from the active ingredient of butterfly pea flower kombucha fermentation solution is the best treatment as an antimicrobial and pharmaceutical biotechnology products.

Abstract

Food halalness is essential for Muslim communities, including in Indonesia, where the majority of the population is Muslim. Halal food not only means free from prohibited ingredients, such as pork and alcohol, but must also be processed in accordance with Islamic law. With the increasing consumption of processed products such as nuggets, concerns about the authenticity of raw materials have become an important issue. This research aims to determine and classify the volatile compound profile of beef and pork nuggets for halal authentication using a combination of GC-MS and chemometric methods. The analysis data were processed using a multivariate statistical approach in the form of Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Cluster Analysis (CA), and Partial Least Squares Discriminant Analysis (PLS-DA). The research method used was a laboratory experimental study with a volatilomics approach using a combination of GC-MS and chemometric methods. The results showed significant differences in the volatile compound profiles between the two types of nuggets (with pork samples containing 68 volatile compounds and beef samples containing only 45 compounds), which allowed separation and classification based on chemical composition. Further analysis identified specific volatile compounds that have the potential to serve as markers of halal status. The result of the research was volatile compound profiles of beef and pork nuggets were successfully determined using the GC-MS method, showing differences in composition.

Abstract

Prevalence of stunting in children in Indonesia at the national level is around 37%. Various efforts are made to reduce and prevent the incidence of stunting, one of the efforts to overcome this is the fulfillment of nutrition in children. one of the efforts to overcome this is the fulfillment of nutrition in children. One of One of the micronutrients that is important for child growth is iron. Lack of iron deficiency can cause stunting and impaired cognitive development in children. children. Iron is found in many foods, including watermelon. At Some people dislike the consumption of fruit directly. This becomes a challenge in itself where there needs to be an effort to process watermelon fruit into a dosage form that is favored by children, namely soft candy. One of one of the main ingredients for making soft candy is gelatin which needs to be considered its halalness. Therefore, there is assistance in making watermelon soft candy as halal nutrition to meet the iron needs of children as an effort to prevent stunting in MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa. to prevent stunting in MT Annisa, Madiun City. The method in this activity begins with a pretest, then socialization and workshops, and ends with a posttest. The pretest results showed that only 9.09%, while the posttest results were 54.55% of residents who understood the knowledge and process of making halal watermelon soft candy for making halal watermelon soft candy for stunting prevention nutrition. This shows an increase in community knowledge after attending socialization and workshop looks different.
