Abstract

The national development program entering the industrializatorcion era is marked by increasing industrial growth, so it needs to be balanced with improving the quality of the workforce and the implementation of the occupational health and safety management system (OHS). This study airmed to study the relationship between implementation the OHS and employee performance of PT Albany Indonesia Tuban. This study used cross sectional turth simple random sampling technique.Simple size was 37 employees at PT Albany Indonesia .Data collected using a OHS and Performence employees questionnairies. The results showed that there was a relationship between implementation the OHSwith employee performance, as by the results of spearman rank test,( p value = 0.007), this indicated that the correlation was statistically significant. The implementation of optimal OHS for employees is directly related to employee performance, because the implementation of OHS is one way to motivate employees to improve their performance

Abstract

Depression is caused by several factors, namely biological, psychosocial, family support, grief, loneliness, sadness, gender, age. Previous researchers found that many possible causes of depression include impaired brain function related to mood regulation, stressful life events, increasing age. The impact that is very urgent if the elderly experience prolonged depression is suicide. The purpose of this study is to explain the factors associated with the occurrence of depression in the elderly. In the database to search for Literature Review using the keyword ((Related Factor) AND Depression) AND Elderly). There were 107 selected articles and 6 articles were found which will then be analyzed using JBI Critical Appraisal tools. The database used was Google Scholar, Garuda, and Semantic Scholar, PubMed. The selection was taken by paying attention to PEOS, then the journals were analyzed one by one. There is a relationship between family support and depression in the elderly, there is a relationship between gender and depression in the elderly, there is a significant relationship between age and the incidence of depression in the elderly, there is a relationship between grief factors with the incidence of depression in the elderly, there is a relationship of social interaction with the incidence of depression in the elderly, there is a relationship between the sadness factor and the incidence of depression in the elderly. There is one factor associated with the occurrence of depression in the elderly, namely psychosocial factors. In this factor sad all the time is very influential factor on factors related to the occurrence of depression in the elderly. Researchers conclude that psychosocial factors are very influential on factors related to depression in the elderly, further researchers should focus on psychosocial factors because these factors are very influential on factors related to depression.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus, a non-communicable disease with an increasing prevalence, requires community-based prevention efforts through promotive and preventive approaches. The use of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) has been an alternative that is easy, affordable, and applicable in supporting the prevention of Diabetes Mellitus at the household level. The aim of this community service activity was to empower the community in utilizing TOGA as a preventive measure for Diabetes Mellitus and to raise awareness about the importance of simple health checks. The methods used included health counseling, TOGA planting and maintenance practices, as well as vital sign checks for early detection of disease risks. The activity was carried out on August 10, 2025, in RW 5, Sumberporong Village, Lawang District, Malang Regency, with 34 participants from the PKK group. The results showed a 50.5% increase in knowledge, positive attitudes, and skills among participants in utilizing TOGA, along with heightened awareness of the importance of monitoring health through vital sign checks. Additionally, a TOGA demonstration garden was established as an educational tool and for program sustainability. This activity had a positive impact on encouraging community independence in preventing Diabetes Mellitus. Ongoing mentoring and the development of similar programs in other areas are recommended to strengthen community-based promotive and preventive measures for non-communicable diseases.

Abstract

Low physical activity contributes to poor glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Low-effort, practical exercises that can be taught by nurses can improve short-term glycemia, but evidence for single-session simple limb movements is limited. Objective: To evaluate the acute effects of simple limb movements on capillary blood glucose in patients with T2DM. A quantitative, single-group pre-test-post-test study was conducted using a sequential sample of 15 patients with T2DM. Participants performed seven types of simple limb movements with varying repetitions (3–20 repetitions). Capillary blood glucose was measured immediately before and after each movement using a glucometer (Glucotest). Changes were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test; significance was set at p ? 0.05. Results show several movement-repetition combinations produced statistically and clinically significant acute reductions in blood glucose. Specifically, open-hand grip at 10 repetitions showed a mean reduction (? ? ?9, p = 0.012), and wrist flexion-extension at 16 repetitions produced a greater reduction (? ? ?37, p = 0.043). Other movements, particularly specific ankle exercises, showed large numerical reductions in some trials but with greater inter-participant variability and inconsistent statistical significance. No major adverse events were reported. Brief, simple extremity movements can produce acute reductions in capillary glucose among some patients with T2DM, suggesting feasibility as a nurse-led intervention that can be implemented in the community. These findings require confirmation through larger randomized trials with continuous glucose monitoring to determine clinical utility and optimal protocols
