Abstract

Bahasa merupakan sistem simbol suara yang arbitrer dan bermakna yang dipakai masyarakat. Bahasa bukan hanya suara yang dihasilkan oleh organ bicara, melainka suara yang bermakna dengan struktur tertentu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kapal dalam di alur pelayaran Surabaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan Penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia Sebagai Alat Komunikasi Antarkapal untuk Menunjang Keselamatan Pelayaran. Manfaat penelitian Penelitian yang akan menghasilkan analisis penggunaaan bahasa Indonesia sebagai alat komunikasi antarkapal yang diharapkan menjadi landasan untuk memperbaiki cara berkomunikasi di antar kapal di alur pelayaran Surabaya memakai bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar. Metodologi penelitian ini ialah dengan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif jumlah responden 150 yang menampilkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa Indonesia untuk komunikasi secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap keselamatan pelayaran, sehingga hipotesis yang menyatakan ada pengaruh secara simultan antara penggunaan bahasa Indonesia untuk komunikasi terhadap keselamatan pelayaran terbukti.

Abstract

Maritime English has a large enough role in communication on board because no matter how sophisticated and complete the communication tools on board the ship, its function will not be maximized if the user does not have the skills and ability to communicate in accordance with the standards set out in the IMO SMCP which states that the standard language sailor is Maritime English. Based on this, the formulation of the problem in this research is how is the influence of Indonesian as L2 in the acquisition of Maritime English as L3? And how is the production of Maritime English as L3 by L2 Indonesian speakers? This research method is qualitative and quantitative with the type of research that will be used is associative research (relationships) with quantitative analysis methods. Associative research is research that aims to determine the relationship between two or more variables. Based on data processing with SPSS version 26, a correlation value of 0.759 means that there is an influence of Indonesian as L2 in the acquisition of Maritime English as L3. When studying Maritime English L3, cadets are more likely to choose to transfer the language to Indonesian L2 rather than local language L1. However, the accent that is pronounced when speaking Maritime English is still thick with the L3 regional accent.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the importance of Mooring Line maintenance in MV. Bali Kuta for smooth berthing. The background is the lack of maintenance of the Mooring Line and the Ship Harbor Kit, which has an impact on the smooth berthing. Lack of maintenance on Mooring Line can cause delay on the ship and damage to the Mooring Line which can be fatal. The purpose of this study is to understand and apply proper and proper care for Mooring Lines on MV. Bali Kuta. The approach used in this research is descriptive approach. If the data has been collected then classified into two groups of data, namely quantitative in the form of numbers and qualitative data expressed in words or symbols. Qualitative data in the form of words is temporarily set aside, because it will be very useful to accompany and complete the picture obtained from quantitative data analysis. The results of this study are to avoid mall functions or errors in the harbor and ship harness kit, so various methods and actions are required for maintenance on the ship harbor kit equipment in accordance with applicable regulations. In the implementation of rope care requires knowledge of the rope, based on education and experience in handling the rope, and carried out with discipline in its implementation. Discipline is a determining factor in the success of a maintenance job.

Abstract

a support for shipping safety on a Surabaya shipping company ship. The sample of this studyis the ship crews and shipping company employees of 50 respondents. With the help of the SPSSprogram used to analyze data. The results of data processing obtained multiple R values of 0.765 Themultiple correlation coefficient shows that between the variable Document of Compliance and SafetyManagement Certificate has a strong relationship to the variables of shipping safety, the coefficient ofdetermination is indicated by the R value of 0.765 means the variables X1 and X2 have a strongrelationship level towards the dependent variable Y. The value of R Square, which is equal to 0.5855,means that the effective contribution given by the variables X1 and X2 to the dependent variable Y is58.5%

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines Surabaya (PT. SPIL), which is one of the national private shipping companies that play a role in the advancement of sea transportation in Indonesia. Crew ship is very important role in the progress of sea transport, especially the seafarers both inside and outside the country is necessary even to the lack of sailors, therefore the management of shipping companies should really pay attention to the welfare of the crew so the ship crew satisfied and comfortable working at PT. SPIL. This study aims to determine the influence seaworthiness and compensation system on job satisfaction crew on the ship owned by PT. Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines Surabaya. This research is quantitative. This research begins with sample determination then spread quisioner to 327 respondents in can statistic calculation with t test of variable of ship seaworthiness (X1), compensation system variable (X2) independently affect to (Y) job satisfaction. Variable X1 has significant effect, it is seen in the result of questionnaire about maritime shipiness need to be improved that is on the ship safety equipment of ship's crew. Safety tools must be in a ready-made state, which will be used at any time in case of emergency (fire on board, sinking ship, etc.). For variable X2 about the compensation system has an effect on the job satisfaction of the crew. With a decent wage and able to meet basic family needs it will be a major factor of job satisfaction. And based on the F test it is known that the velocity variable of the ship and the compensation system together affect the job satisfaction, F value counted 213,775 > F table 2,649. Based on the regression equation, it can be seen that the constant of 2,101 although without any change from X variable (ship capability and compensation system) will still increase by 2,101 but it is expected that ship velocity variable will be increased by 0,590 and compensation system is 0,274. PT. SPIL should maintain and even increase the velocity of the vessel and the compensation system for increased job satisfaction. Of the two variables, the variable that has the strongest influence on job satisfaction is the maritime boundary of the vessel, so it can be advisable to emphasize on the maritime boundary of the vessel. Capacity ship here in the sense of improving the safety system of the voyage. Due to the good sail safety system, the sailor's work satisfaction is increasing, guaranteed life safety on board during the voyage.

Abstract

Curriculum development is a process of planning and compiling curriculum by the academic sector or curriculum developer so that the resulting curriculum can be a reference used in achieving national education goals. Character building is the process of providing education and training in the context of increasing knowledge, expertise, skills and shaping the behavior of human resources. The purpose of this study is to explain how much influence the curriculum development and character development of cadets have on the quality of education in the Program Diploma Pelayaran. The methodology of this research is quantitative method, the number of respondents is 171 with the results of the research that the R value is a multiple of 0,947 show evidence of curriculum development and character building have a very strong relationship to the quality of education variables.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keselamatan melaut nelayan tradisional di Kampung Nelayan Keputih Timur, Gang Pompa Air, Kelurahan Keputih, Kecamatan Sukolilo, Kota Surabaya melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan penggunaan peralatan keselamatan kapal kecil. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi nelayan setempat adalah rendahnya pemahaman dan penggunaan alat keselamatan standar seperti pelampung, alat isyarat darurat, dan APAR. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan dengan pendekatan partisipatif berbasis pelatihan, simulasi, dan evaluasi langsung di lapangan. Sebanyak 35 nelayan mengikuti pelatihan, dan dilakukan survei pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan. Hasil menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman keselamatan sebesar 67,4%, dari rata-rata nilai pre-test 42,6 menjadi post-test 71,3. Setelah pelatihan, 91% peserta menyatakan siap menggunakan alat keselamatan sesuai prosedur, dan 77% telah melengkapi perahunya dengan minimal satu alat keselamatan baru yang disarankan. Pendampingan teknis dilakukan selama 4 minggu dengan kunjungan langsung ke 22 perahu nelayan, yang menghasilkan 18 perahu (81,8%) telah memenuhi standar minimal keselamatan. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan edukatif dan pendampingan berbasis komunitas mampu mendorong kesadaran dan tindakan nyata nelayan terhadap pentingnya keselamatan melaut. Pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model replikasi di daerah pesisir lainnya dengan karakteristik serupa.

Abstract

Kecelakaan tidak disebabkan oleh kegagalan atau kesalahan tunggal, tetapi diakibatkan oleh serangkaian kesalahan. Kesalahan manusia dapat digambarkan sebagai kesalahan pengambilan keputusan, tindakan yang tidak dilakukan dengan benar. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk menguji pengaruh human factor terhadap keselamatan pelayaran. Manusia mempunyai kemampuan dan keterbatasan tertentu. Kinerja manusia dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan dan ketrampilan. Ada banyak faktor manusia yang mempengaruhi keselamatan dalam domain ini seperti yang kelelahan, kesadaran situasi, komunikasi, serta stress. Pendekatan kuantitatif dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menguji teori dengan cara mengukur variabel-variabel dalam penelitian ini secara numerik dan menganalisis data menggunakan prosedur statistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data dengan teknik non-probability sampling pada Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak Surabaya dan 120 responden yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Metode statistik inferensial yang digunakan dalam analisis data penelitian adalah Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa human factor berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keselamatan pelayaran. Artinya adalah Faktor ketrampilan awak kapal di kapal penumpang sebagai kompetensi wajib yang dimiliki untuk bernavigasi di laut lepas maupun di alur pelayaran. Keselamatan pelayaran juga dipengaruhi oleh komunikasi. Komunikasi sangat penting, baik komunikasi dengan pihak pelabuhan/agen, maupun komunikasi dengan perusahaan, terlebih penting komunikasi antar kapal untuk menghindari bahaya tubrukan
