Abstract

 This study was motivated by the low argumentative writing skills of fourth-grade students at MI Al-Huda Rejowinangun. Students had difficulty developing ideas, presenting logical reasons, and organizing arguments coherently. The study aimed to determine the effect of the Draw and Opinion strategy on students’ argumentative writing skills. A quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest–Posttest design was used. The sample consisted of 28 students selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected through writing tests, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk test, and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. The mean score increased from 65.21 on the pretest to 83.39 on the posttest, an increase of 18.18 points. The Wilcoxon test showed Z = -4.481 and Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, the Draw and Opinion strategy had a significant effect on the argumentative writing skills of fourth-grade students at MI Al-Huda Rejowinangun in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

. Learning mathematics at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level requires students to understand mathematical concepts and regulate their learning processes when facing difficulties. Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) plays an important role in helping students plan, monitor, and evaluate their learning activities. This study aims to analyze students’ SRL processes in overcoming difficulties in mathematics learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving students and teachers. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and technique triangulation to ensure data credibility. The findings revealed that students’ SRL developed through three phases: forethought, performance, and self-reflection. Students showed differences in setting learning goals, preparing strategies, monitoring tasks, checking solutions, and evaluating learning experiences. Peer tutoring was also identified as social support that helped students understand mathematical problems. The findings indicate that strengthening SRL through structured guidance, monitoring activities, reflection, and peer interaction can support students in overcoming difficulties in mathematics learning.

Abstract

The study aims to find the openness of interpersonal communication and process of exchange of stimulation in online conversation of Facebook social network Sites among students of Communication Science Semarang of University. The theory used in the study is Technological Determinism Theory which states that the changes that occur in a variety of ways to communicate will also make up the existence of mankind itself. The study can it is concluded that the openness of interpersonal communication in online conversation is open wide among students of Communication Science. Since Facebook overcomes the limitations of distance and physical and it is possible to the conversations is far more familiar than the face to face communication. It means that the users of chatting facility do not hesitate to open their selves and talk about serious matter of their lives.
