Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis can be transmitted to children when active TB sufferers cough, talk, sneeze, sing, or speak without a mask or personal protective equipment. It is estimated that more than 20,000 cases of childhood tuberculosis occur in Indonesia each year. Indonesia is the country with the second highest number of tuberculosis cases in the world after India. Given that this disease is a dangerous disease, there needs to be sufficient public awareness and understanding of this disease. Purpose : Increase public knowledge about preventing TB transmission in children. Method: Implementation of activities using the lecture method, namely presenting material on preventing tuberculosis in children to participants by conducting interactive discussions. Education is also provided by providing instructions on how to prevent tuberculosis transmission in children. The supporting media used are leaflets and banner stands. Results: In this community service activity, most participants were able to answer well and understood the material presented. This program will be continued to find out how successful it is in increasing knowledge and its application in the work area of ​​the Kedaton Health Center, Bandar Lampung City. Participants were also enthusiastic about asking questions about the material provided. Conclusion: Educational activities to prevent TB transmission in children are very effective in increasing parental knowledge in protecting children from the negative impacts of tuberculosis transmission. Pendahuluan: Penyakit TBC dapat menular pada anak ketika penderita TBC aktif batuk, berbicara, bersin, bernyanyi, atau berbicara tanpa masker atau alat pelindung diri. Diperkirakan lebih dari 20.000 kasus tuberculosis anak terjadi di Indonesia setiap tahunnya. Indonesia merupakan negara dengan jumlah kasus tuberculosis tertinggi kedua di dunia setelah India. Mengingat penyakit ini merupakan penyakit yang berbahaya, maka perlu adanya kesadaran dan pemahaman masyarakat yang cukup terhadap penyakit ini. Tujuan: Meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pencegahan penularan TB pada anak-anak. Metode: Pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan metode ceramah yaitu mempresentasikan materi mengenai pencegahan tuberculosis pada anak kepada para peserta dengan melakukan diskusi interaktif. Edukasi diberikan juga dengan memberikan petunjuk mengenai cara pencegahan penularan tuberculosis pada anak. Dengan media bantu yang digunakan adalah leaflet dan stand banner. Hasil: Dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, sebagian besar peserta dapat menjawab dengan baik dan cukup memahami dari materi yang disampaikan. Program ini akan dilanjutkan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keberhasilannya yang adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan penerapannya di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Kedaton Kota Bandar Lampung. Peserta juga berantusias melakukan tanya jawab mengenai materi yang diberikan. Simpulan: Kegiatan edukasi pencegahan penularan TB pada anak sangat efektif dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua dalam melakukan perlindungan terhadap anak dari dampak buruk penularan tuberculosis.

Abstract

Background: Anemia in pregnant women carries the risk of giving birth to a baby that is not yet full term (premature), miscarriage, bleeding both before and after delivery, uneventful delivery, fetal death in the womb, death of the pregnant woman, and convulsions during pregnancy. In October 2023-January 2024 the Kedaton Community Health Center had a total of 733 pregnant women and it was found that 76 pregnant women were anemic. Purpose : to make a report on maternity nursing care by giving spinach and tomato juice to increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women who experience anemia in Kedaton District, Bandar Lampung City in 2025 Method: This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research. The research design uses a descriptive research approach and a nursing care case study approach, which includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This case study is the application of spinach and tomato juice therapy by Maternity Nursing Care to increase hemoglobin levels Results: Both respondents experienced significant changes, namely in Mrs. P with a difference of 1.5 g/dL, while Mrs. A with a difference of 1.8 g/dL. From the results of the analysis of hemoglobin levels, the author concluded that there was a significant increase in hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Conclusion: Giving spinach and tomato juice can increase hemoglobin levels in pregnant women
