Abstract

Laboratorium desain produk dan inovasi (Lab Desprin) merupakan salah satu fasilitas di Institut Teknologi Del yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam hal merancang dan menghasilkan produk-produk inovatif. Laboratorium Desprin memiliki aturan, dimana pengunjung harus membuka sepatu dan meletakkannya di luar ruangan. Melalui penelitian ini dirancang fasilitas rak sepatu sebagai tempat untuk meletakkan sepatu bagi dosen, laboran, mahasiswa, dan tamu yang berkunjung ke Lab Desprin. Metode yang digunakan dalam perancangan produk ini adalah Value Engineering dan Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Metode QFD digunakan untuk memperoleh informasi kebutuhan calon pengguna terhadap produk, sedangkan metode Value Engineering digunakan untuk merancang produk dengan meminimalkan biaya pembuatan. Desain dirancang sesuai dengan suara user yang diterjemahkan ke dalam House of Quality untuk mendapatkan spesifikasi yang tepat. Data antropometri Indonesia terkhusus area kaki digunakan sebagai input dalam mendesain dimensi. Perancangan ini menghasilkan rak sepatu Lab Desprin dengan kapasitas 68 pasang sepatu. Melalui perhitungan, estimasi biaya untuk pembuatan produk rak sepatu sebesar Rp.5.081.700, sedangkan untuk rak gantungan adalah Rp. 793.000. Dengan demikian, nilai yang dihasilkan desain pengembangan produk rak sepatu dibandingkan dengan desain awal adalah 1,54 dan dikembangkan dari desain  pengembangan ke desain akhir sebesar 1,27 yang mana nilai ini lebih baik dibandingkan produk-produk pesaing lainnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify differences performance 3D printer machine A and 3D printer machine B as the main technoware facilities in Lab. Desprin. By using comparative analysis could obtain the mapping of the most relevant 3D printer machine types for each course served by Lab. Desprin. The type of research used was experiment with the variables analyzed are production cost, dimensional precision, production time, deformation, and surface roughness. From the results of analysis the main characteristic differences were in the variables of production time, dimensional precision, and surface roughness. These results were used to map the application of 3d printer into learning needs in all coursed served by Lab Desprin.

Abstract

Abstrak: Adanya Pandemi COVID-19 menyebabkan penerapan pembelajaran E-learning semakin meningkat pada tingkat pendidikan perguruan tinggi, khususnya program studi Manajemen Rekayasa di Institut Teknologi Del. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kriteria-kriteria dalam bentuk instrumen penilaian derajat kecanggihan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh teknologi adalah metode teknometrik dengan 4 komponen yaitu technoware, humanware, infoware, dan orgaware. Dari penelitan yang dilakukan diketahui bahwa peranan keempat peranan teknologi sangat besar dalam mendukung proses e-learning Manajemen Rekayasa di Institut Teknologi Del Technoware yang terdiri dari kriteria saranan pembelajaran, yaitu seperti laptop, handphone, lightening, internet, komputer, headset, dan software. Humanware terdiri dari kriteria direct humanware, yaitu seperti dosen, asisten dosen, dan staf. Infoware terdiri dari kriteria karakteristik proses pembelajaran dan kriteria dokumen pembelajaran, yaitu seperti sinkronus, asinkronus, bahan ajar, dan buku pegangan (e-book). Orgaware terdiri dari kriteria evaluasi efektivitas pembelajaran, dan kriteria fasilitas tambahan penunjang pembelajaran seperti subsidi paket data dan subsidi potongan SPP. Kata Kunci: E-learning; Technoware; Humanware; Infoware; Orgaware Abstract: The existence of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the application of E-learning increasingly at a higher level of college education, especially Engineering Management at the Del Institute of Technology. This study aims to determine the criterias in the form of a degree of sophistication instrument. From the research conducted, it is known that the role of the four technology roles is very large in supporting the Engineering Management e-learning process at the Del Institute of Technology where Technoware consists of learning facilities, such as Laptops, Mobile Phones, Lightening, Internet, Computer, Headset, and Software. Humanware consists of direct humanware, such as lecturers, lecturer assistants, and staff. Infoware consists of the characteristics of the learning process and learning documents, such as synchronous, asynchronous, teaching materials, and handbooks (e-books). Orgaware consists of evaluating the effectiveness of learning, additional facilities to support learning, such as subsidies for data packages and subsidies for education discounts. Keywords: E-learning, Technoware,  Humanware,  Infoware,  Orgaware

Abstract

Pendidikan mengalami disrupsi dalam skala besar dikarenakan otomatisasi dan kemajuan teknologi, informasi menjadi aksesibel dan peran lembaga pendidikan bukan lagi menjadi satu-satunya sumber ilmu pengetahuan dan informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat kerangka penilaian teknologi e-learning pada pendidikan usia dini (PAUD) kategori formal yaitu Taman Kanak-kanak (TK) dan untuk merumuskan kriteria dan indikator penilaian teknologi dengan metodologi teknometrik, dimana kriteria tersebut akan dikelompokkan menjadi 4 aspek yaitu technoware, humanware, infoware, dan orgaware. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komponen teknologi yang digunakan sebagai parameter penilaian derajat kecanggihan teknologi pembelajaran e-learning pada usia dini kategori formal yaitu taman kanak-kanak yang dirangkum dan dispesifikasikan ke dalam bentuk kriteria, sub-kriteria, dan sub-sub kriteria.

Abstract

The product design and innovation laboratory, which is still relatively new, does not yet have a maintenance model to anticipate damages that may occur in the future. The purpose of this research is to build preventive maintenance to anticipate unwanted events such as sudden damage and Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) for laboratory facilities. The method used is Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) using EasyFit 5.5 software, obtained a repair schedule with minimum downtime. The results of the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method obtained maintenance recommendations in the form of Condition Directed (CD) on 14 components that might damage the product design and innovation laboratory facilities, Finding Failure (FF) on 8 components that might damage the design laboratory facilities. products and innovations and Time Directed (TD) on 5 components that may cause damage to product design and innovation laboratory facilities, and also Based on the results of preventive maintenance built, there is a Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) which includes the use of laboratory facilities following work instructions for the use of equipment, use of facilities the laboratory follows the work instructions for use, all validation results must be stored in the form of records in the form

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Taman Eden 100 or CV Andaliman Mangintir is a manufacturing company that produces various andaliman derivative products, including Andaliman Dried Seeds, Andaliman Powder, SikArsik, and Andaliman Seeds. Some of Andaliman's derivative products are already halal certified and some of them do not yet have a halal certificate but already have a PIRT DINKES permit. Thus, it is necessary to have a different room to produce halal products and products that have not been certified halal, so it is necessary to design a layout using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method. The Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method has several stages in making the layout, namely activity linkage analysis such as Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) analysis, Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD) analysis, and making proposed layouts based on the 5S concept (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, and Shitsuke). Based on the research conducted, it was found that the total travel time and distance of Material Handling  in the initial layout within 1 month was 3.720 seconds and 2.155 seconds for the time of Andaliman Powder and SikArsik; and 43,69 m and 88,03 m for the distances of Andaliman Powder and SikArsik. By using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method, it is obtained that the total travel time and distance of Material Handling  in the  proposed layout within 1 month is 2.800 seconds and 1.465 seconds for the time of Andaliman proposed layout within 1 month is 2.800 seconds and 1.465 seconds for the time of Andaliman Powder and SikArsik; and 31,28 m and 74.32 m for the Andaliman powders and SikArsik, resulting in a reduction in Material Handling  time and distance of  920 seconds and 12,41 m for Andaliman Powder products; and 690 seconds and 13,71 m for SikArsik products.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to map out the value chain of cassava (Manihot esculeta) and to measure the extent to which the cassava commodity in Toba Samosir Regency, North Sumatera, Indonesia, could affect the economics of the relevant stakeholders. This study employed the value chain mapping analysis method to map out the existing supply chain models. Data and information have been collected using semi-structured interviews to selected sample that represent the stakeholders’ population along the cassava supply chain in Toba Samosir Regency. The stakeholders have been identified using snowball technique. SWOT analysis was employed to deploy policy strategy in improving the cassava benefit for the stakeholders. From the study, we obtain three models of supply chain of cassava, namely: (i) direct sale of cassava root to consumer model, (ii) cassava-based food model, and (iii) tapioca starch model. The margins of each node for each supply chain were estimated. The value chain map reveals that the value engineering of cassava commodities is not optimal, in which the final products produced by all models of supply chain are far below the potential possible value. We finally recommended some value-added improvement strategy; for example, diversifying the product of cassava derivative that is more valuable that is higher-grade tapioca flour and modification of cassava flour.   Keywords: Value Chain Analysis, Cassava, North Sumatera.

Abstract

Del Institute of Technology has Laboratorium Desain Produk (Lab Desprin) that based on additive manufacturing and 3D printer facilities. In its operation, the 3D printer uses acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) filament raw materials, polycarbonate (PC), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), nylon, Poly Lactic Acid (PLA), Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), and Investation Casting Wax. . The remaining filament and 3D printer printouts from the practical process require storage space in the laboratory. The material that makes up this filament itself is difficult to decompose by nature and has the potential to become harmful waste. This study aims to design a safe and practical 3D printer waste material chopper to recycle the remaining filament and 3D Printer printing results. With the Axiomatic House of Quality (AHOQ) method, the customer requirements for the enumerator are obtained, namely the appropriate size of the chop, has an indicator that it is on or not, safe in operation, not noisy, easy to move, and saves electricity. To meet this requirement, a waste chopper has been designed with specifications that it has a filter with a size that is adjusted to the desired chopping size, a cover on the material input channel as a security function and reduces noise, and uses a bicycle as a source of motion and saving electricity. The working system of the tool is a chopper tool by utilizing mechanical motion by rowing a bicycle as a source of motion for the chopper blade. This designed tool has been successfully built with the ability to chop materials with a thickness of > 15 mm and a noise level of less than 85 dB.

Abstract

Abstrak: Sebuah kegiatan edukasi lingkungan berbasis permainan bagi Generasi Alpha telah dilaksanakan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan menumbuhkan kesadaran lingkungan pada anak-anak usia dini, sekaligus memberi ruang bagi mahasiswa Teknik Lingkungan Universitas Presiden dalam menginternalisasi nilai-nilai luhur Pancasila dalam konteks penyelamatan lingkungan. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah sebuah panti asuhan di Kabupaten Bekasi yang mengasuh 30 anak-anak generasi Alpha. Metode yang digunakan meliputi edukasi mengenai isu lingkungan dari limbah plastik, praktik aksi nyata dalam bantuk kreasi kriya dari plastik bekas pakai dan penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila terkait gotong royong untuk menjaga lingkungan. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan cara memberikan quis impromptu di akhir kegiatan yang mengukur pemahaman peserta mengenai pemahaman dampak lingkungan dari sampah plastik, kesadaran untuk menjaga lingkungan dari cemaran plastik dan keterampilan dalam mengolah sampah plastik. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 100% mitra peserta kegiatan mendapatkan peningkatan pemahaman, kesadaran dan keterampilan terkait pengelolaan sampah plastik.Abstract: An educational activity to raise environmental awareness for Generation Alpha has been carried out. This activity aims to foster environmental awareness in young children, as well as providing space for Environmental Engineering students at President University to practice the noble values of Pancasila in the context of saving the environment. The partner for this activity is an orphanage in Bekasi Regency which cares for 30 children of generation Alpha. The methods used include education about the environmental issue of plastic waste and real action practices in creating crafts from used plastic which are framed within the framework of Pancasila values. Evaluation is carried out by giving an impromptu quiz at the end of the activity to measures participants' understanding of the environmental impact of plastic waste, awareness of protecting the environment from plastic pollution and practical skill in processing plastic waste. The evaluation results show that 100% of activity participants have increased understanding, awareness and skills related to plastic waste management.

Abstract

Salah satu ukuran performansi untuk menilai kecepatan pelayanan di IGD adalah waktu respon. Waktu respon adalah waktu antara pasien tiba di IGD hingga pasien ditangani oleh dokter IGD. Standar waktu respon berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia Nomor 856 Tahun 2009 adalah maksimum 5 (lima) menit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan jumlah kebutuhan sumber daya manusia (dokter dan perawat) di IGD RSU HKBP Balige sehingga waktu respon terhadap pasien menjadi lebih cepat dan sesuai standar. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Discrete Event Simulation. Tujuan penelitian dicapai dengan membuat sebuah model simulasi IGD RSU HKBP Balige menggunakan perangkat lunak simulasi Arena dan melakukan eksperimen terhadap model simulasi tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa waktu respon rata-rata di IGD RSU HKBP Balige dapat diturunkan dari 8,61 menit menjadi 4,14 menit, serta waktu respon maksimum dari 26,30 menit menjadi 14,09 menit dengan penambahan sumber daya manusia sebanyak 2 dokter dan 3 perawat per shift.Kata kunci : pemotong, produktivitas, singkong, Metode Rasional.
