Abstract

Divorce cases in Indonesia continue to increase every year with a variety of conflicting problems. Declining marital satisfaction is the cause of the increasing divorce rate. It is important to have an effective strategy to be able to maintain satisfaction in marriage, one of which is forgiveness. Forgiveness is an alternative solution that can help couples solve and prevent problems in the marriage relationship. This study aims to provide an overview of the relationship between forgiveness and marital satisfaction. This study is a literature review with search articles from the Google Scholar, ProQuest, PubMed and EBSCOHost databases. The search results obtained 15 articles that match the inclusion criteria. The results of this study reveal that forgiveness increases marital satisfaction in various cultural contexts. Marital satisfaction is also influenced by other factors such as gender and marriage length.

Abstract

University students are individuals who must always adapt amidst the rapid and uncertain changing times. Good psychological well-being is needed to achieve optimization in every activity, both academic and non-academic. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of counting blessings in managing the univesity students’ psychological well-being. This study applied a nonrandomized control group design with a pretest and posttest, consisting of 28 participants having psychological well-being from low to moderate levels. The participants were divided into two groups, the experimental group and the control group. The levels of psychological well-being were measured by using The Scale of Psychological Well-being (SPWB) developed by Ryff (2014) adapted by Rihlati (2018). Psychological well-being scores of the pretest and posttest were processed by SPSS 25 for Windows. This study indicated a p value of 0.394 (p>0.05), meaning that there were no significant different levels of psychological well-being between the group performing counting blessings and the group not performing counting blessings. Then, this study also found that there were significantly different levels of psychological well-being of the participants before and after performing counting blessings with a p-value of 0.002 (p>0.05). The efforts made by each student to interpret every positive thing in their daily life are beneficial to help them have good psychological well-being.

Abstract

The escalating issue of demoralization within the younger generation in Indonesia is exacerbated by the diminishing character values, often attributed to the pervasive influence of globalization. Recognizing the inadequacy of character education in schools, there is a pressing need for more engaging and interactive approaches to instill character in the youth. One promising avenue is leveraging games, given the prevalent engagement of young people in this activity. Among the various game genres, role-playing games (RPGs) stand out as particularly popular. This study, utilizing a literature review research method with descriptive analysis, aims to elucidate the implementation of RPG-based educational games as a medium for character education in the younger generation. The literature study findings underscore the potential of RPGs to serve as effective character education tools for adolescents, stimulating essential aspects such as ethical thinking, moral reasoning, value systems, friendship, self-scaffolding, and metacognition.

Abstract

Nowadays, students often face interpersonal conflicts caused by conflicting behaviors such as differences of opinion, interests or conflicts between individuals. Some previous studies have shown that the way to deal with a conflict is to forgive the person. This study aims to find out the relationship between emotional intelligence and forgiveness in Bangka Belitung and Central Java students. A total of 109 students studied in Bangka Belitung and Central Java obtained through purposive sampling techniques. The measurement used in this study is a short-form trait emotional intelligence questionnaire (TEIQUE-SF) scale with an alpha cronbach coefficient of 0.981 and a forgiveness scale of 0.935. The results of the study showed a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and proven forgiveness of a significant (2-tailed) result of 0.048 (p 0.05). However, the results of the analysis also showed that there was no difference in the level of emotional intelligence and forgiveness among students studying in Bangka Belitung and Central Java. The results also showed no difference in forgiveness between students from Central Java Province and Bangka Belitung Province with a probability value of forgiveness variable (sig.) of 0.467 (p .05)

Abstract

Work engagement played an important role for companies because it would have an impact on high employee performance which would lead to profits for the company. One of the things that can affect work engagement is personality. Therefore, this study aimed at the role of personality orientation according to the dimensions of the anchor personality theory on work engagement. This study involved 151 employees of PT X as research participants. The research design used in this study is to use a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The measuring tool used in this study is the work engagement scale developed by Hayuningtyas & Helmy (2015) and the short version of the Anchor Personality Inventory compiled by Itsnaini & Riyono (2022). Then the data obtained by purposive sampling method through questionnaires distributed randomly to employees working at PT.X. The data obtained were then analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that increasing anchor self and virtues will significantly increase work engagement. Meanwhile, an increase in anchor materials and others will not significantly increase work engagement.   Work engagement membawa peran penting bagi perusahaan sebab akan berdampak pada tingginya kinerja karyawan yang akan bermuara pada keuntungan bagi perusahaan tersebut. Salah satu hal yang dapat mempengaruhi work engagement adalah kepribadian. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan peran orientasi kepribadian menurut dimensi pada anchor personality theory terhadap work engagement. Penelitian ini melibatkan 151 karyawan PT.X sebagai partisipan penelitian. Adapun desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah skala work engagement yang dikembangkan oleh Hayuningtyas & Helmy (2015) dan Anchor Personality Inventory versi singkat yang disusun oleh Itsnaini & Riyono (2022). Kemudian data diperoleh dengan metode purposive sampling melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan secara acak pada karyawan yang bekerja di PT.X. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meningkatnya anchor self dan virtues secara signifikan akan meningkatkan work engagement. Sementara itu, peningkatan anchor materials dan others tidak mempunyai peran signifikan terhadap work engagement.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 menja di krisis global yang menyebabkan timbulnya berbagai dampak salah satunya pada keseja hteraan psikologis dan aktivitas fisik masyarakat. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, aktivita s fisik diketa hui memiliki hubungan da n penga ruh terha dap kesejahtera an psikologis.  Ma ka da ri  itu, penelitia n ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh ga mbaran  komprehensif  tentang  tingkat da n dampak aktivita s fisik terhadap  keseja hteraan  psikologis pada populasi dewa sa serta rekomendasi  aktivitas fisik yang dapa t dila kukan untuk meningkatkan  kesejahteraan  psikologis selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah systematic literature review dengan metode analisis PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Item for Systematic Review and Meta -Analytic). Literatur dicari di database EBSCOhost, ProQuest, dan ScienceDirect. Pencaria n awal menghasillkan 5.136 artikel dan akhirnya didapatkan 15 artikel  yang memenuhi kriteria. Hasil review mengungka pkan ba hwa sela ma masa pa ndemi Covid-19 terja di penuruna n tingka t a ktivita s fisik da n  keseja hteraan psikologis terutama pada populasi dewasa khususnya pada perempua n da n kelompok dewa sa muda. Sela in itu, ditemuka n ba hwa a ktivita s fisik baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung berhubungan dengan gejala depresi, stres, kecemasa n, serta pera sa an da n emosi positif. Aktivita s fisik denga n intensita s seda ng memiliki penga ruh pa ling signifka n terhada p keseja hteraan psikologis. Ada pun bentuk a ktivita s tersebut seperti memba wa beban ringa n, yoga , ga nda tenis, a erobik, muscular fitness da n explosive fitnes. Abstract

High school students are in the process of discovering their self-awareness. However, at this age, many high school students face confusion in making decisions about their vocational interest at their school, choosing between natural and social sciences. In response, the Eureka Interest Inventory (EII) was introduced and developed to assist students in measuring their vocational interests and abilities related to work activities based on the RIASEC Holland model. Therefore, the present study aims to assess the structural validity of the RIASEC Holland model among high school students and to determine any differences in validity based on gender and academic major. The sample population comprised 1609 high school students aged 17-19 years old. The validity of the measurement tool was evaluated using The Randomization Test of hypothesized Order Relations (RTOR) and analyzed using RStudio software. Additionally, the study used the Multidimensional Scalling (MDS) technique to describe the position of each RIASEC Holland personality type in graphical form. The results showed that the RIASEC Holland model has a good fit with the observed data. Additionally, no significant variations were observed in the fit of the model between male and female students, as well as between students majoring in natural and social sciences.
