Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak terapi okupasi untuk anak down syndrome. Penelitian yang dilakukan di YPAC Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Anak dengan inisial CE dapat membuka tutup bekal dan memulai kegiatan makan dengan baik, namun Ketika setelah makan, CE lupa tidak membersihkan beberapa tumpahan makanan yang dimakan, (2) Anak dengan inisial JH, memulai makan dengan berdo’a, kemudian membuka tempat makan, cara memegang sendok juga sudah benar dan setelah makan, JH membersihkan dan merapikan tempat makannya, (3) anak dengan inisial DA memulai makan dengan membuka tutup makan kemudian berdoa, akan tetapi untuk memegang sendok masih belum sempurna sehingga perlu bantuan dari terapis, setelah kegiatan makan selesai, DA berusaha merapikan tempat makannya dan membersihkan dengan bantuan orang lain, dan (4) anak dengan inisial NH mengawali dengan membaca doa sebelum makan, memegang sendok dan gelas juga sudah sesuai, mengakhiri makan dengan membaca doa dan merapikan tempat makannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pembelajaran seni musik pada anak tunaganda di YPAC Surabaya. Penelitian ini didasarkan atas observasi di yayasan tersebut. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak tunaganda yang memiliki dua ketunaan, yaitu tunagrahita dan cerebral palsy. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Peneliti mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran seni musik yang dilaksanakan di YPAC Surabaya. Dalam proses pelaksanaannya, peneliti melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu tahap awal,tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap pelaporan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, sedangkan untuk uji keabsahan data digunakan triangulasi waktu. Peneliti juga menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan dalam menganalisis data. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil bahwa dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan motorik, sosial emosi, dan bahasa pada anak tunaganda. Dengan adanya kegiatan pembelajaran seni musik, mereka dapat berlatih untuk berbicara dengan teman dan orang lain, melatih suara, melatih keberanian untuk tampil sehingga akan terbentuk rasa percaya diri pada anak.

Abstract

This research intends to see the effectiveness of pop-up book media to the ability to read and write to the child. This type of research uses single subject research (SSR) where the criteria in this experimental study used A-B-A design. The study was used to examine one or more subjects to determine the influence gained after some treatment with the media already created. The subject in this study is a V-grade student at Widya Shantika District of Malang. Based on the results of Test t that has been done, it can be stated that the product development of prototype media pop-up book effective to improve the ability to read and write understanding Shiva Light class V SDLB. This effectiveness is expressed with the result of the value obtained, namely: T = 53.105 > 2.105 then H º rejected and H ¹ received so that the claim is accepted. Pop-up book media is precisely used as a learning medium for students who have the physical composition and the content of the book is very appealing to students. Interest in the pop-up book is able to increase students ' interest in learning the material inside. When students have studied the material continually with euphoric feelings and high spirits, the result of assessment of learning will increase.

Abstract

Every children of Indonesia have the same right to get a good educational quality in their life, including special needs children (ABK) with all the speciality and different characteristics they have. The held of special education had been a responsibility to be done and must be supported with good fasilities. It’s not a new thing if special needs teacher having difficulties in teaching his/heir students. That’s why it’s needed precise and careful decision from the teacher in doing teaching materials, strategy, methods, and teaching tools for special needs children, to be impelemnted in learning processes. Educational media as atools in delivering teaching materials has been one of the factors that could support the raising of the learning results. In digital transformation eras, assistive technology as learning media for special needs children is badly needed. The using of assistive technology that match the needs of special needs children can uprise the effectivity of the learning activities held by students inside and outside the class. Teachers were not only have the responsibility to make decision and implement assistive technology that match the learning needs. to each speciality, but they needed to develop the ideas and creativity to create and or modificate assistive technology independently. The expertise to own strategy and methods in using assistive technology must had by teachers so they could impelement them to their special needs children correctly. Besides, it needs an evaluation to the success of the use of assistive technology in the learning processes, so the could doing the right things if they were certain problems. The partner of this community service program (PkM) were the 50 teachers of SLB Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo. The aims of the training and monitoring held in the theme of “ The Implementation of Assistive Technology in The Learning of Special Needs Students” were to support the teacher to have the ability to decide and implement assistive technology that suite the learning needs. The community service program were held online at November 18th 2023 from 2 PM until 5 PM. At the program, beside the lecturer, there also the students of Pkh University PGRI Adi Buana were involved.

Abstract

A child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) having neurological disorder in their brain and nerve, that causing disorder in the area of cognitive, emotion, social behavior, and communication. There are many problems and challenges faced by teachers in teaching students with ASD.  That is why, it is needed accuracy in choosing learning strategy for special needs students, especially students with ASD. The partner of this community service program were the 50 teachers and parents of SLB Mutiara Hati Surabaya. The community service program were held online at May 11th 2024 from 1 PM until 5 PM. At the program, there are also 2 students of Pkh University PGRI Adi Buana involved.

Abstract

Sasaran pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PPM) ini adalah guru SLB Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo berjumlah 50 orang. Melalui teknologi asistif, guru dapat mencoba berbagai pendekatan dan gaya pembelajaran untuk mencocokkan dengan preferensi belajar siswa, sehingga proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih inklusif dan berdampak lebih besar. Modifikasi teknologi asistif memungkinkan guru untuk menyesuaikan konten dan metode pembelajaran dengan konteks kelas, tingkat kesulitan, dan kebutuhan siswa secara lebih fleksibel utamanya untuk siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Mengingat hal tersebut maka Workshop tentang Modifikasi Teknologi Asistif dalam Pembelajaran Bagi siswa Berkebutuhan Khusus ini sangat penting dilaksanakan. Workshop ini dilaksanakan dalam setting full online yang dilaksanakan pada 4 Oktober 2023 sd 6 Desember 2023. Adapun langkah-langkah pelaksanaan PPM ini adalah (1) perencanaan yang terdiri atas (a) koordinasi dengan mitra, dan (b) penyusunan materu, (2) pelaksanaan yang terdiri atas (a) pretest, (b) penyampaian materi dan pendampingan, (c) posttest. Metode workshop yang digunakan adalah kombinasi ceramah, diskusi, praktik, dan penugasan. Adapun luaran dari kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan skills guru dalam melakukan modifikasi teknologi asistif pembelajaran bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus.

Abstract

The implementation of this community service program aimed to provide knowledge on deep learning based on assistive technology and adaptive learning. The methods of implementation included (a) planning, (b) implementation, and (c) evaluation. Based on the results of the program, it can be concluded that the success in increasing participants' knowledge about the training on deep learning for teachers as a step toward education based on assistive technology and adaptive learning has had a positive impact on teachers. This success is reflected in the improvement of participants' average pre-test scores, which increased from 50.26 to an average post-test score of 78.21.

Abstract

Various cases of bullying against children with special needs (ABK) often occur due to a lack of tolerance to children with special needs. Teachers, especially in inclusive schools, are not only required to teach, but also to instill character education, including tolerance among students. A tolerant attitude must first be strengthened and possessed by teachers so that it can be implemented for students without special needs and students with special needs as a whole. Partners in this PkM activity are the Surabaya City Education Office and involve 80 inclusive junior high school teachers. This activity was carried out offline from March 19 to May 18, 2025. In this activity, the lecturer also involved 2 students from the Special Education Department, PGRI Adi Buana University, Surabaya.
