Abstract

Introduction : Benzene is a volatile compound and widely uses as a solvent. In its work process, printingindustry used materials containing benzene. One of the target organs of benzene exposure is bone marrow. Therefore, the effect of benzene exposure is damage to the blood formation system. Methods : This research was an observational study with a quantitative approach and cross-sectional design.Subjects used 11 workers population of printing X Surabaya. All variables were analyzed by using rankspearman correlation.Result: The test results showed that most of the levels of benzene exposure exceeded the determined LimitValue. A total of 6 (64%) workers worked ≥ 10 years. The test results revealed significant benzene exposurewith changes in HCT and MCHC values. The average safe concentration of benzene is 0.01868. The resultsof safe C testing with blood profile showed that significant for safe C Benzene with red blood cells RBC andHCT (p<0,05).Conclussion : The results of the calculation of safe C benzene and blood profile of workers showed asignificant relationship between safe C and RBC and HCT. There was no significant relationship in WBC,HGB, MCV, MCH, MCHC.

Abstract

Sumber Galian Makassar.

Abstract

Coronavirus 19 is a deadly disease that can kill thousands of people worldwide. However, not many researchers know that NO content can kill the COVID-19 virus. This research method is study design used retrospective methods, prospective and a systematic review. Search for reference sources began on March 10th - June 1st, 2021, using several online databases: 1) Pubmed, 2) Science Direct, 3) Google Scholar. Keywords used in the search term: COVID-19, Novel Coronavirus, SARS-CoV, Nitric Oxide, Dark Chocolate, Macrophages and included in journals accredited. This study looked for a list of references from the study, including 103 studies taken through the search. There are 63 articles in cleaning, and eight articles are included in the discussion. This review shows that COVID-19 can be attenuated and killed by the NO content produced by macrophages and supplied with NO content modulated by dark chocolate. Modulating NO-rich foods such as dark chocolate can effectively kill COVID-19. NO can also cure several diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and some respiratory infections.

Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia is an idiopathic multisystem disorder specific to pregnancy and the puerperium in which multiorgan abnormalities occur in at-risk pregnancies resulting in hypertension and multiorgan dysfunction in the form of an increase in left ventricular mass index which leads to diastolic heart failure. Aim: Determine the relationship the effect of factors causes preeclampsia towards left ventricle mass index on preeclampsia patient in Undata Regional Hospital of Palu Methods: This study used a cross sectional research approach. These variables are measured by research instruments where data can be analyzed according to statistical procedures. Results: From total sample, there were pregnant women of abnormal age 37.67 years (27.3%) and normal age 28.12 years (72.7%) with a mean age of 30.73 ± 5.89 years with history preeclampsia. There were 21 patients (95.5%) with previous obesity and 1 patient (4.5%) had no history of obesity, 14 patients (63.6%) with a history of primigravida and 8 patients with multigravida (36.4%). One patient with multiple pregnancies (4.5%) and 21 patients (95.5% with no history of multiple pregnancies, 3 patients (13.64%) with chronic disease and 19 patients (86 .36%) no history of chronic disease, There are 16 patients (72.7%) patients who use contraception and while 6 patients (27,3%) did not use contraception. Statistical tests risk factors for preeclampsia associated with cardiovascular disease events, hypertension which causes an increase in the Left Ventricle Mass Index (LVMI) it can be seen that in all preeclampsia patients causes uncontrolled hypertension and increase in LVMI above normal values (description according to table), the incidence of preeclampsia with a previous history of preeclampsia 1 (25%) showed a significant relationship with a value of p = 0.001. Conclusion: Factors that cause significant preeclampsia, pregnant women who have a history of preeclampsia and who have a history of multiple pregnancies affect the occurrence of hypertension and an increase in left ventricular mass index.
