Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap kemampuan membedakan fakta dan opini tajuk rencana siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 21 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2014/2015. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 21 Medan yang berjumlah 290 orang. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IS-4 yang berjumlah 36 orang. Dalam menentukan jumlah sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling atau acak kelas. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain one group pre-test post-test design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes objektif pilihan berganda. Nilai rata-rata pre-test adalah 64,8 , sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test adalah 77,2. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai rata-rata post-test lebih tinggi daripada nilai pre-test. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji “t”. Dari perhitungan uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 6,49 selanjutnya dikonsultasikan dengan tabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan df = n-1 = 36-1 = 36. Dari df = 35 diperoleh taraf signifikansi sebesar 2,03. Berdasarkan perhitungan yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat diketahui bahwa t0 > ttabel , yakni 6,49 > 2,03. Dengan demikian, hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Berdasarkan data diatas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membedakan fakta dan opini tajuk rencana siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 21 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2014/2015.   Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Fakta dan Opini, Tajuk Rencana

Abstract

This study discusses learning which was originally carried face-to-face but then became distance learning in a high school in Mandailing Natal Regency during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study analyzes the learning and the needs during distance learning. This qualitative data research employed non-probability sampling technique by means of purposive sampling so that the sample in this study was 50 teachers and 100 students in different schools. The data collection used was survey method. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The main findings show that Distance Learning can be implemented well. The findings in the field are that most of all schools implement distance learning from home except for a small number. Teachers experience major obstacles in implementing learning from home. There are still a few teachers who do interactive learning with students but have used various social media tools to communicate with students. There are still many teachers who teach curriculum completeness. The duration of the learning time is significantly reduced. Students also experience problems during distance learning, such as limited facilities to support skills in using digital devices, and decreased learning motivation and teachers have not maximized the use of online learning platforms.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic, which has spread throughout the world since December 2019 has changed the order of human life in all aspects, including education. The transition of offline to online learning is an absolute necessity. This paper aims to describe the ideas that related to the design of online learning management which is carried out when the long distance learning was implemented during the Covid 19 pandemic. The learning designs can be seen through the activities, which consist of: 1) filling in the learning material content, 2) tracking the students’ attendance, 3) presenting the learning materials, 4) conducting the discussion forums, and 5) providing the evaluation through assignments and quizzes.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk 1) Mendeskripsikan Gaya bahasa Novel Pasir Pun Enggan Berbisik Karya Taufiqurrahman Al- Azizy, 2) Mendeskripsikan Nilai-nilai Pendidikan dalam Novel, 3) Menerapkan Gaya bahasa dan nilai-nilai Pendidikan dalam novel pasir pun enggan berbisik Karya Taufiqurrahman AL-Azizy: Sebagai Bahan Ajar Sastra Di SMK N 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Metode yang digunakan peneliti adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik kepustakaan, teknik menyimak, dan teknik mencatat. Hasil penelitian tentang gaya bahasa dan nilai pendidikan dalam novel sebagai bahan ajar disekolah Menengah Kejuruan,yaitu : 1) Gaya bahasa yang terdapat dalam Pasir Pun Enggan Berbisik Taufiqurrahman AL-Azizy. Yaitu Majas Perbandingan dan Majas Afirmasi. 2) Nilai-nilai Pendidikan yang terkandung dalam Novel tersebut adalah : Nilai Pendidikan, Ketuhanan, Sosial dan moral. 3) Hasil penelitian ini cocok sebagai bahan ajar sastra. Seperti terlihat, pengunaan gaya bahasa dan nilai Pendidikan dalam Novel Pasir Pun Enggan Berbisik Karya Taufiqurrahman Al-Azizy memberikan pengetahuan siswa SMK Kelas XII sesuai Versi kompetensi inti (KI) dan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) 3.9 Menganalisis Isi dan kebahasaan Novelnya.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is famous for its diversity of tribes, ethnicities, races, cultures, and religions. Our society is a multicultural society, besides that the Indonesian people are also known as a religious nation. In Indonesia alone, there are at least six nationally recognized religions, namely Christianity, Islam, Hindu Catholicism, Buddhism, and Confucianism. With so many religions in Indonesia, people must have an attitude of tolerance towards fellow religious people. Tolerance is a human attitude to respect the differences that exist, both between individuals and groups. Tolerance is a way of respecting and accepting differences in behavior, culture, religion and race that exist and this world. Tolerance is very important to be fostered both within the community and in other spheres. The attitude of tolerance in religious communities can create an atmosphere of peace, tolerance and mutual respect so that they can live side by side without any sense of difference to others. This study aims to examine how cross-cultural communication in maintaining religious tolerance in Sei Kera Hilir II Village, Medan Perjuangan District, Medan City. So that with this study, it can further foster a sense of tolerance between religious communities in the hearts of everyone who reads this journal, thus making them more respectful of one another, not cornering each other, and respecting the opinions of others, and so on.

Abstract

In the world of education, information and communication technology in general aims to ensure that students understand information and communication technology tools in general, including computers, and understand information, meaning that students recognize the terms used in information and communication technology and especially commonly used computers. Apart from helping students in learning, the role of information and communication technology in learning also plays a quite influential role for teachers, especially in utilizing facilities to enrich their teaching abilities. The implementation of education and learning will be more effective if it is supported by the application of communication theories and concepts. In learning, which is the heart of education, you will find a system consisting of components that influence each other as discussed in the communication models sub-chapter.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using the fizzo novel application on the writing ability of class XI students at SMK Negeri 4 Medan for the 2022/2023 academic year. The population in this study was all students in class The research method used is a quantitative experimental method. The research instrument is a drama text writing test which is assessed based on content aspects and linguistic aspects of the drama text. The results of the research show that there is an influence of using the fizzo novel application on the ability to write drama texts in class XI students at SMK Negeri 4 Medan. This is proven by hypothesis testing which shows that the value of Tcount > Ttable is 11.6 > 1.71 with a significance level of 5%.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low participation of students of SMP Negeri 1 Sigumpar in participating in scientific work competitions which are their own innovations. According to Bloom and Anderson's taxonomy, creative competence is very necessary for all students because by learning to make something from the materials around it, thinking construction is very important because children will be formed and more critical and innovative. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)-based learning really needs to be empowered from an early age. This research was conducted at SMP N 1 Sigumpar with the aim of knowing whether the application of the project-based learning model in these subjects was effective. Nature can be a material for students' innovative work and improve student learning outcomes. This research method uses a quasi-experimental research design with a one group pretest – post-test design. Data collection methods used in this study was questionnaires, survey and observations in class VIII of 30 students. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and qualitatively. The results showed that project-based learning increased creativity and student learning outcomes. From the results of this study, the researchers found that project-based learning is very good to be applied in teaching students because based on students' experiences it increases the enthusiasm for learning.

Abstract

One of the aims of this research is to identify students' writing skills taught by the Somatic, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual (SAVI) learning model in expository texts written by students in class X SMA N 14 Medan. Another aim is to find out how the problem-based learning model (PBL) and the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual) learning model have an impact on the exposition text. This research involved all students in class X SMA N 14 Medan, with a simple random sample, consisting of 36 students in class X-1 and 36 students in class X-2. A two-group post-test experimental method was used and the research instrument was an expository text writing test. The "t" test data is used to test the hypothesis. The results show that students' ability to write expository texts using the PBL learning model is in the fair category with an average score of 70.36, while their ability with the SAVI learning model is in the very good category with an average score of 89.36. Furthermore, the results of the hypothesis test show that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, because tcount is greater than ttable, namely 9.82 is greater than 1.934. Thus, it can be concluded that the expository text writing skills of class X SMA N 14 Medan students are greatly influenced by the use of the SAVI learning model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the process and feasibility of developing interactive Microsoft PowerPoint-based film review text material for Grade VIII students at SMPN 35 Medan.  The approach employed is the method of research and development (Research and Development/R&D).  Sugiyono has modified the research method with a design according to the needs and limitations of this study.  The researcher then simplified it into six stages, namely: (a) potential and problems, (b) data collection, (c) product design, (d) product validation, (e) product revision, and (f) testing of respondents.  The feasibility value of a product can can be assessed using a Likert scale based on the validation outcomes provided by experts in the field of content and media..The process of developing this material was carried out to add some of the contributions of existing material to make even better film review text material.  T The outcomes revealed that the product emanating from the study "Development of Material on Interactive Microsoft Powerpoint-Based Film Review Text for Class VIII Students of SMPN" was included in the "very good" category.  Based on the results of validation by material experts, a percentage value of 90% was obtained and validation by media experts obtained a percentage of 89%.  Therefore, It can be affirmed that the product is appropriate for utilization in educational activities
