Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of socio-political and economic aspects on income inequality in Indonesia in 2017-2021. This research uses Fixed Effect Model (FEM) analysis using Stata 14. The results of research using panel data regression show that: 1). The social aspect proxied by education has an insignificant negative influence on income inequality in Indonesia. 2). Social aspects proxied by health have an insignificant negative influence on income inequality in Indonesia. 3). The political aspect proxied by the Indonesian democracy index has an insignificant positive influence on income inequality in Indonesia. 4). The economic aspect proxied by GRDP has a significant negative influence on income inequality in Indonesia. 5). Independent variables have a simultaneous or joint effect and are significant on the dependent variable.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the causal relationship between technology (Y1), education (Y2) and labor absorption (Y3) variables in West Sumatra Province. This type of research is associative and descriptive which explains whether or not there is a causal relationship between research variables. The data used in this study are secondary data from 2011 to 2020 according to districts/cities in West Sumatra Province obtained from related agencies. The analysis in this study uses the Panel Vector Autoregression (PVAR) model with a causality test using the Granger Causality Test and the cointegration test in this study uses the Kao Residual Cointegration Test method. The research results obtained show that: (1) Technology and education do not have a causal relationship, but there is a one-way causality relationship, namely education to technology in West Sumatra Province. (2) Education and employment do not have a causal relationship in West Sumatra Province. (3) Technology and employment do not have a causal relationship in West Sumatra Province.

Abstract

This research uses secondary data sourced from the SAKERNAS National Labor Force Survey, (2022) from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency. This research aims to determine the influence of education, marital status, age, and regional on female workers working in West Sumatra. This type of research is quantitative research. This research uses the Logistic Regression analysis method. Based on the results of the analysis and hypothesis testing, it was found that the Education and Region variables had a positive and significant influence on the female workforce working in West Sumatra. Meanwhile, the age variable had a negative and significant influence on the female workforce working in West Sumatra, then the Marital Status variable was not significant on the workforce. Women working in West Sumatra.
