Abstract

Lasut, M.Hum²                                        Dr. Garryn Ch. Ranuntu, M.Hum³     This research entitled “Politeness Principles in English and Gorontalo Language: A Contrastive Analysis” focuses on maxim related to politeness principles. The aims of this research are to identify, classify and analyze the polite utterances in English and Gorontalo Language according to politeness principles. In this research, the writer uses descriptive method. The English data were collected from pragmatic books, website, and some skripsi. In this research the writer uses Leech’s theory to analyze the data and Lado theory in contrasting both languages to find out the differences and similarities. The polite principle in both languages that can be seen, such as requesting, commanding, and ordering, it is also shown by the acting of convincing what the speaker says. The result shows that there are six maxim of politeness principles and their function. Those are tact maxim, the genorisity maxim, the approbation maxim, the modesty maxim, the aggrement maxim, and the sympathy maxim. It is expected that this research will help students and readers in learning pragmatic, especially on politeness principles.Keywords: Pragmatic, Politeness, English, Gorontalo Language

Abstract

Vibration monitoring merupakan kegiatan memantau getaran pada sebuah mesin berputar dengan cara merekam dan menganalisis getaran. Getaran tinggi pada suatu mesin dapat disebabkan oleh kasus mechanical looseness. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui putaran poros yang diijinkan pada getaran kondisi mechanical loosness. Pengukuran getaran dilakukan menggunakan sensor accelerometer ADXL 345 yang dapat membaca nilai akselerasi suatu getaran pada posisi vertikal dibagian rumah bearing. Pembacaan nilai akselerasi tersebut diolah kembali oleh kontroler arduino uno R3 dan diproses menjadi grafik FTT melalui software LabVIEW. Berdasarkan pengujian nilai akselerasi yang dihasilkan pada kondisi mechanical looseness kategori fondasi melengkung dengan 2 shim untuk putaran poros 1495 rpm adalah 949,587 mm/s2 , putaran poros 895 rpm menghasilkan nilai akselerasi 982,610 mm/s 2 , putaran poros 295 rpm menghasilkan nilai akselerasi 911,029 mm/s 2 . Pengujian kedua untuk fondasi melengkung dengan 3 shim pada putaran poros 1495 menghasilkan nilai akaselerasi 1018,86 mm/s 2 , putaran poros 895 rpm menghasilkan nilaiakselerasi1214,06 mm/s 2 , untuk putaran poros 295 rpm menghasilkan nilai akselerasi 1010,520 mm/s 2 . Pengujian ketiga dilakukan pada kondisi baut longgar dengan menghasilkan nilai akselerasi 826 mm/s 2 pada putaran poros 1495 rpm, menghasilkan nilai akselerasi 1180,477 mm/s 2pada putaran poros 895 rpm, dan menghasilkan nilai akselerasi 900,006 mm/s 2 pada putaran poros 295. Nilai putaran poros maksimal yang dijinkan pada getaran kondisi mechanical looseness yaitu 295 rpm. Getaran maksimal yang diijinkan yaitu pada putaran poros sebesar 295 rpm.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the controversy surrounding the Islamization of Science through the thoughts of Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi and its implementation in Islamic education. The main focus of this study is how the Islamization of Science can overcome the dualism between Islamic values ​​and the influence of Western secularism, especially in curriculum development and student character. Al-Faruqi emphasized the importance of integrating rational and divine knowledge to build an Islamic education system, which can produce an intelligent, faithful, and noble generation. By freeing knowledge from secularism and directing it toward a monotheistic orientation, students are expected to become perfect human beings capable of contributing to Islamic civilization. This study uses a qualitative approach with literature review to analyze Al-Faruqi's thoughts and the concept of Islamic epistemology in the reconstruction of knowledge based on revelation and reason. The discussion in this study also highlights the challenges and opportunities in implementing the Islamization of Science in the modern era, as well as its relevance in shaping an Islamic education paradigm that is responsive to the dynamics of the times without neglecting its Islamic identity. The implementation of this paradigm for students is realized through the integration of monotheistic values ​​in every discipline of science, the development of analytical thinking skills rooted in Islamic ethical principles, and the internalization of educational goals that place science as a means of self-actualization and devotion to Allah SWT.
