Abstract

Although many studies have focused on consumer behavior, a summary of constructs specialized in switching behavior is unexplored. The research aimed to enlarge an extensive and updated overview of customer switching behavior in the service industry. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) technique evaluated 35 scientific papers released from 2011 to 2021 to analyze drivers, mediating factors, moderating factors, and outcomes related to customer switching behavior. The results improve the understanding and outcome of the drivers to retain consumers. First, the drivers (independent variables) consist of social factors, firm factors, customer behavior, and cost. Second, mediating factors include switching cost, experiential psychological states, inertia, emotion, and consumer perception. Third, moderating constructs have mooring factors, satisfaction, and inertia. Surprisingly, inertia appears in both mediating and moderating variables. The difference depends on service context. Last, outcomes consist of customers’ responses, low satisfaction, and low loyalty. The research contributes to theoretical and managerial implications for sustainable planning by making an overview of several service models. In addition, it includes the drivers of switching behavior in the service industry. Furthermore, the framework offers possibilities and issues for future research and moves the focus from the conventional service domain to social networking that refers to the online platform.

Abstract

Abstract. Social media platforms have become a tool for spreading information in society, it enables the government to use this media for giving information to the public, especially in pandemic situations. Social media has revolutionized the way of reaching out to consumers and communicating with them. Branding in social media strategy is commonly used in advertising and product marketing but has not been widely used in the health communication field. In this study, we shine a light on the new way health communications marketing is reaching audiences with health messages. The information adoption process in social media might be a strategy for spreading trusted information on the internet, so this study aims to examine the precursor of this case. Using Structural Equation Model (SEM) we identify the relationship between variables influencing certain behaviors related to health content in social media. This study used snowballing technique for collecting data through online questionnaires with a sample of 297 respondents who were in accordance with the criteria of the population. We offer insight for future research on these topics by discussing the public marketing role in social media interaction. Our outcome of the study to serve as a platform to positively impact future research on information in social media regarding health is being delivered to society. Furthermore, the study may develop a socialization program to educate society, campaign for a healthy lifestyle, and health information media using social media. Keywords: Social marketing, social media, information adoption, sharing behavior, cet framework. Abstract

This study examines the extent to which Educational Podcasts and Brand Awareness influence student engagement on the Ready Radio Channel of the Communication Studies Department at Telkom University not merely by measuring “likability,” but by establishing a causal relationship between listening experiences, brand recall, and engagement as reflected in audience behavior. A quantitative approach was chosen as a lens that forces empirical arguments to meet numbers: data was collected online via a Google Form questionnaire, so that response traces became a timeline that could be replicated and retested. The population consists of active students who have interacted with the channel people who are bombarded with content daily, yet here are systematically asked: who is truly “present” and listening, rather than merely scrolling through the news feed? The final sample comprises 92 respondents, selected through sampling logic not as a decorative number, but as a balance between limited representativeness and analytical feasibility. Behind the scenes in SPSS version 21, a series of tests runs like a chain of data quality checks: Pearson Product-Moment validity to ensure that the instrument’s items measure the same variable; Cronbach’s Alpha reliability to see if responses are consistent across measurement rounds; followed by classical assumption tests for normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation, which function as statistical filters before multiple linear regression is permitted to proceed. At the inference stage, the t-test and F-test pose two distinct questions regarding the same model: what is the partial effect of each predictor, and does the simultaneous combination of predictors truly explain the variation in Customer Engagement? The findings confirm a consistent yet nuanced narrative: Educational Podcasts have a positive and significant effect on student Customer Engagement evidence that audio designed to teach, prompt reflection, or spark discussion is more than just entertainment in between campus activities. Brand awareness is equally important as a driver of engagement; moreover, together these two variables have a simultaneous, positive, and significant effect, with brand awareness playing a more dominant role in explaining variations in engagement than educational podcasts. This means that within the campus channel ecosystem, a recognizable name and the meaning associated with that channel can act as a “cognitive magnet” that makes it easier for listeners to move into the next behavioral layers commenting, sharing, repeated consumption, and listening loyalty before the content itself has a chance to take the lead. Theoretically, these results align campus empirical experiences with the logic of customer engagement: when the quality of educational podcast content meets mature brand awareness, engagement ceases to be a vague phenomenon and begins to be understood as a combination of content competence and the audience’s mental capital toward the channel’s brand. For higher education communication practitioners, the implication is almost like the analogy that good podcast infrastructure is a smooth path, but brand awareness is the map that makes people choose that path again and again.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a critical success factor in destination marketing within the Tourism 4.0 era. As a leading tourist destination in West Java, Pangandaran Regency faces challenges in adapting to the information consumption trends of modern tourists who prioritize creative and concise visual content. The Department of Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Journalism (Diskominfo) of Pangandaran Regency holds a strategic role in disseminating tourism information. However, current promotional strategies are still dominated by conventional video content, which is susceptible to audience fatigue and field production constraints. This community engagement initiative aims to diversify promotional media through the creation of motion graphics-based animation videos. This solution was selected due to its superiority in simplifying complex information into entertaining visual narratives (edutainment) and its flexibility in visualizing tourist attractions without being hindered by weather or logistical factors. The implementation method was carried out collaboratively, encompassing pre-production (research and scriptwriting), production (visual asset design and animation), and post-production (editing and final rendering). The primary output of this activity is the availability of high-quality promotional animation assets optimized for multi-platform local government social media networks. This intervention successfully bridges the technical resource gap of the partner while reinforcing the digital branding identity and visual positioning of Pangandaran’s tourism to drive higher tourist engagement.
