Abstract

Savonius water turbine is one of the simplest design and low cost production that attracts wide attention. A single stage Savonius water turbine with horizontal axis is applied in a pipe with diameter of 3 inch to give variation in the deflector angle. Deflector is used to focusing the flow so the torque is increased by the blade curvature in the turbine. This simulation uses the SolidWork 2013 software. The aim of this simulation is to obtain the best performance in each deflector angle, then the result is compared with a turbine without deflector. The deflector performance is analyzed by the pressure contour, the torque and the angle of attack. The deflector angle is vary in different angle of 20°, 30°, 40° and 50° with the deflector ratio of 50%. By using debit input of 12,2x10-3 m3/s, the results show that angle deflector of 30° is obtained as the best performance where it produce the pressure contour about 279820,99 Pa, torque of 0,6070 Nm and more stable in angle of attack. Abstract

Currently, bread is one of the alternative staple foods that is quite in demand by the public. This has resulted in the bread making industry being enthusiastically welcomed by business people because it has bright and open opportunities for large and small scales. However, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) industry is unable to compete. One of them is because of the use of technology in the dough kneading process. This article discusses product planning for a horizontal type of bread dough mixer using the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) method and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) analysis where the design is based on design, materials, analysis, and equipment and manufacturing process planning. In this study, the Action Research method, engineering engineering and the Solidwork simulation design software were used. The design of the machine can be used for a stirring capacity of 10 kg and a rotation speed of 40 rpm. The results of the design consist of several main parts, namely the main frame, container, stirrer, motor, and transmission system

Abstract

In early 2020 the whole world was shaken by the Covid-19 pandemic, which caused panic everywhere. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted various aspects of life such as health, social, economic, etc. One of the main problems is food security, which is currently becoming a very active topic of conversation. Based on these problems, community service through UNS KKN activities is carried out with work programs to improve food security in the form of cultivation and viticulture, increase the role of the Abimanyu reservoir, and additional programs to support food security in Ngropoh Village, Kranggan District, Temanggung Regency. The results of community service activities show that the community has experienced an increase in fulfilling their daily food needs and can live and carry out activities more healthily

Abstract

Condongsari merupakan salah satu desa di Kabupaten Purworejo, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Desa Condongsari merupakan salah satu desa sasaran Universitas Sebelas Maret dalam pelaksanaan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) periode Januari-Februari 2021. Pelaksanaan KKN tersebut mengusung tema “Pengembangan Kepedulian Lingkungan dan Kesehatan di Desa Condongsari, Kecamatan Banyuurip, Kabupaten Purworejo”. Tema tersebut dirasa sesuai untuk pengembangan desa dengan tetap memperhatikan kondisi siaga di tengah wabah pandemi Covid-19. KKN UNS telah menyelesaikan 6 program kerja utama dan 6 program kerja penunjang dalam bidang kebersihan, kesehatan, pendidikan, multimedia, pertanian, dan literatur. Seluruh program telah terlaksana dengan baik dengan tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan secara ketat. Partisipasi masyarakat dan pemerintah Desa Condongsari sangat baik dalam merespon program kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Tim KKN UNS. Semua program utama dan penunjang yang telah terealisasi diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan potensi yang dimiliki Desa Condongsari. Setiap kegiatan yang telah berlangsung secara kontinyu diharapkan agar tetap dipertahankan sebagai bekal bagi masyarakat Desa Condongsari untuk mengembangkan potensi desa di tengah kondisi normal baru pasca pandemi Covid-19. Program yang telah terlaksana diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi yang bersifat membangun bagi Desa Condongsari.

Abstract

Kecenderungan untuk mengembangkan dan memanfaatkan potensi sumber-sumber daya energi terbarukan dewasa ini telah meningkat pesat, khususnya di negara-negara berkembang yang telah menguasai rekayasa dan teknologinya serta memiliki dukungan finansial yang kuat. Oleh sebab itu, merupakan hal yang menarik untuk dikaji lebih lanjut bagaimana memanfaatkan peluang sumber daya energi terbarukan. Energi alternatif sebenarnya banyak dijumpai disekitar kita. Salah satunya adalah alat fitnes TL008. Alat fitnes ini tanpa disadari dapat menghasilkan energi kinetik. Pada dasarnya energi itu tidak dapat dimusnahkan, tetapi energi dapat berubah bentuk menjadi energi lain. Sehingga energi kinetik yang dihasilkan Alat fitnes TL008 dapat diubah menjadi energi mekanik berupa gaya tarikan yang dapat memutar generator sehingga menghasilkan energi listrik. Tujuan peneletian ini dilakukan adalah untuk mengetahui Kecepatan roda gigi, daya listrik, daya mekanik, dan efisiensi yang di hasilkan pada setiap penarikan alat fitness TL008. Dengan menggunakan metode Variasi beban dan kita ingin melihat daya yang di hasilkan pada setiap beban tersebut. Variasi yang di gunakan adalah 5kg, 10kg, 15kg, 20kg, dan 25kg. dan di sini kita mendapatkan variasi terbaik yang di hasilkan pada beban 1 kg dengan hasil v : 4,48 m/s, Pout : 1,8 watt, Pin : 0,469 watt,dan Efisiensi : 38,3 % dan untuk variasi terendah di hasilkan pada beban 25 kg dengan nilai v : 4,0 m/s, Pout : 0,57 watt, Pin : 0,41 watt, dan Efisiensi : 13,9%.

Abstract

Abstract:Sakinah Supermarket Surabaya continues to grow through improved service quality, product diversification, and strong support for local products, all of which contribute to economic growth. Its rapid development presents an interesting case for further study, particularly from the perspective of human resources. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of transactional leadership on Islamic work performance, with job satisfaction acting as both a moderating and mediating variable, within the context of Sakinah Supermarket in Surabaya. This research applies a quantitative method. The sample consists of 84 employees working at Sakinah Supermarket in Surabaya. The independent variable in this study is transactional leadership. The mediating and moderating variable is job satisfaction, while the dependent variable is Islamic work performance. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using PLS-SEM.The results show that transactional leadership has a direct influence on Islamic work performance, and job satisfaction acts as a mediating variable, but does not moderate the relationship between transactional leadership and Islamic work performance. The findings suggest that management should strengthen transactional leadership practices such as goal setting, rewards, and performance monitoring to enhance Islamic-oriented work performance. Abstrak:Supermarket Sakinah Surabaya terus berkembang melalui peningkatan kualitas pelayanan, diversifikasi produk, dan dukungan terhadap produk lokal, yang berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan ekonomi. Pertumbuhan yang cepat menjadikan kajian yang menarik untuk melihat lebih dalam dari aspek sumber daya manusianya. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan transaksional berpengaruh terhadap kinerja kerja Islam, dengan kepuasan kerja sebagai moderasi dan mediasi pada usaha supermarket Sakinah di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sampel terdiri dari 84 karyawan yang bekerja di Supermarket Sakinah Surabaya. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah kepemimpinan transaksional. Variabel mediasi dan moderasi adalah kepuasan kerja, sedangkan variabel dependen adalah kinerja kerja Islam. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan PLS-SEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh langsung kepemimpinan transaksional terhadap kinerja kerja Islami, dan kepuasan kerja berfungsi sebagai mediasi namun tidak memoderasi pengaruh kepemimpinan transaksional terhadap kinerja kerja Islam. Temuan ini menyarankan bahwa manajemen sebaiknya memperkuat praktik kepemimpinan transaksional seperti penetapan tujuan, pemberian penghargaan, dan pemantauan kinerja untuk meningkatkan kinerja kerja yang berorientasi pada nilai-nilai Islam. Abstract

Mertan Village, Sukoharjo has excellent potential in the livestock and agricultural sectors that support goatfarming businesses. This potential has not been utilized by farmers due to lack of knowledge and skills in feedprocessing. Providing good and appropriate feed to goats will increase livestock productivity and farmer income.Skills regarding reproduction by farmers are also still not optimal. Livestock have not been able to achieve efficientreproduction. As a solution to this problem, community service activities are carried out so that farmers can implementimproved feed management through the manufacture of complete feed and silage processing. Improvement in thereproductive aspect can be done by providing assistance to farmers on good and correct reproductive management.The methods used in this community service activity include the transfer of knowledge presented in extensionactivities in the form of: (1) introduction to types of goat feed ingredients, (2) Preparation of complete pellet feed andsilage for goats, (3) Application of feed manufacturing technology, (4) Socialization of goat livestock reproductionmanagement (5) Monitoring and assistance. The results of the activities are that farmers understand and are able toproduce quality feed and carry out reproductive improvements. The community service program that wasimplemented had a positive impact on farmers in Mertan Village, Sukoharjo. The understanding and skills of goatfarmers have increased with this activity. Farmers gain knowledge transfer in the form of types of feed ingredients,feed improvement technology, making quality feed and livestock reproduction efficiency. Farmers' participation inthis activity was very enthusiastic and responded well and received benefits from increasing the productivity of BoerGoat farming

Abstract

The halal industry is a large and rapidly growing market that encompasses various sectors. This review of literature is motivated by the growing demand for halal products, the importance of trade among Muslim-majority nations, and the need for a deeper understanding of how companies deal with competitive barriers when venturing into new markets. Bibliometric analysis used to identify key publications, authors, and keywords, as well as to track trends and patterns over time. The findings of this study can inform businesses, policymakers, and industry stakeholders about effective approaches to internationalizing halal food businesses and contribute to the sustainable growth of the halal food industry. Moreover, identifying several key research trends and gaps can provide insights for future researchers, especially in unexplored areas within the study of the internationalization of halal food.

Abstract

The increasing use of composite materials, especially for the two-wheeled vehicle industry, requires an in-depth study of fibre direction. Where the fiber direction can determine the occurrence of initial damage to the composite material. This study aims to produce a composite board from oil palm fruit fibre reinforced with a polyester matrix. In this study, the composite board consists of 3 types, namely sample 1 (discontinuous direction 0°), sample 2 (discontinuous direction 90°), and sample 3 (random fibre direction). The highest bending and impact test results were in specimen 1 with a 0° fibre direction, namely 63.93 MPa and 0.519 Joules/mm2, while the lowest bending and impact test results were in specimen 3 with a random fibre direction, namely 58.63 MPa and 0.382 Joules/mm2. Specimens with horizontal fibre directions have higher strength values. When the fibres are arranged in a 90° direction and a random direction, the mechanical strength is lower, because the load is mostly borne by the material matrix, which is generally weaker than the fibres. Macrophotography at 0° shows that the bonding mechanism of oil palm fruit fibres with the polyester resin matrix is quite good, with visible fibre pullout. This indicates that the bond between the fibre and the matrix weakens as the applied load increases. When the matrix fails, the fibres can still bear the load, so the fracture process does not occur simultaneously with the matrix failure. If the composite fibres become more brittle and the load is distributed to the fibres, which pulls them out, this will result in high toughness and bending strength.
