Abstract

Society has a journey of cultural and historical values. Museums have a role in preserving the heritage of cultural and historical values ​​through their collections. The heritage of cultural and historical values ​​in the museum has a character load that has implications for strengthening the character Profil Pelajar Pancasila which can be taught to future generations. This makes researchers want to develop the concept of cultural and historical values ​​which have implications for the character content of Profil Pelajar Pancasila at one of the museums in Madura, the Sumenep Palace Museum with grounded theory. The data collection method used theoretical sampling, collected through observation, literature study, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique consists of 3 stages, namely open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results show that the Sumenep Palace Museum has cultural values ​​both intangible and tangible. Intangibles tend to lead to leadership values ​​that must be possessed by leaders, namely intellectuality, spiritual attitude (sokkla), andhap asor (humble), openness, and civility. Then tangibles can be taken from the buildings in the Sumenep Palace Museum complex. Historical values ​​can be taken from the court figures of the Sumenep Palace, such as Bindara Saod, Panembahan Somala, and Sultan Abdurahman Pakunataningrat. Cultural and historical values ​​will always be integrated into shaping the character of Profil Pelajar Pancasila so that what is contained in the Sumenep Palace Museum becomes a teaching medium. Through these lessons, future generations admire the work created by the kings of Sumenep and provide inspiration that they have been able to produce a work.

Abstract

The implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka starting from the 2022/2023 academic year provides new challenges in history learning. The structure of learning outcomes in history education no longer prioritizes understanding of concepts but must also emphasize elements of process skills. One of the elements of process skills that must be trained to students is historical thinking skills. There are various concepts of historical thinking skills that has been applied in some countries. Some of these concepts have similarities with the concepts of historical thinking contained in the Kurikulum Merdeka. In addition, there are also some of the concepts of historical thinking in the Kurikulum Merdeka that are not found in other countries. The emphasis on process skills also brings new challenges to how to teach these skills to students. Through literature studies, this article offers alternative history learning strategies that can be used to instill students' historical thinking skills in the context of implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka. Penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka mulai tahun ajaran 2022/2023 memberikan tantangan baru dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Struktur capaian pembelajaran sejarah tidak lagi mengutamakan pada pemahaman konsep melainkan juga harus menekankan pada elemen keterampilan proses. Salah satu elemen keterampilan proses yang harus dilatihkan kepada siswa adalah keterampilan berpikir sejarah. Terdapat beragam konsep keterampilan berpikir sejarah yang berlaku di beberapa negara. Konsep-konsep tersebut sebagian memiliki kesamaan dengan konsep berpikir sejarah yang tertuang dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Selain itu, terdapat pula konsep berpikir sejarah dalam Kurikulum Merdeka yang tidak dijumpai di negara lain. Penekanan pada keterampilan proses ini juga membawa tantangan baru terkait bagaimana cara mengajarkan keterampilan ini kepada siswa. Melalui studi kepustakaan, artikel ini menawarkan alternatif strategi pembelajaran sejarah yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menanamkan keterampilan berpikir sejarah siswa dalam rangka implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between learning styles learning motivation and student learning outcomes at MAN 2 Kota Malang. This research uses a quantitative research design with a correlational approach. The research sample was taken simply randomly as many as 100 people. The instruments used include learning style questionnaires, learning motivation questionnaires, and learning outcomes tests. Data analysis was carried out using multiple linear regression tests. The results of the research show that (1) there is a significant relationship between learning style and learning motivation and student learning outcomes, (2) learning style and learning motivation simultaneously influence student learning outcomes, and (3) visual learning style and motivation Intrinsic is the most dominant factor influencing student learning outcomes. The implication of this research is the importance of a learning approach that pays attention to individual learning styles and learning motivation so that it can grow student learning outcomes at MAN 2 Kota Malang

Abstract

The implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka makes historical thinking skills one of the process skill elements in achieving history learning. Problem-based learning and the Socrates method have been recognized as effective in developing historical abilities. However, no research has so far directed the application of the Socrates method in problem-based history learning toward students' historical thinking abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Socrates method on students' historical thinking abilities in problem-based history learning. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest group design. The population of this study was all students of class XI MAN 2 Kota Malang. The research sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique, namely 60 students who were divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The research instrument used was a historical thinking ability test consisting of 10 multiple-choice questions. Data were analyzed both descriptively and inferentially. The results showed that there was a significant difference in students' historical thinking abilities between the experimental group and the control group. Based on the Wilcoxon non-parametric statistical test with an Asymp. Sig. value. (2-tailed) 0,00 < 0,05, it can be concluded that the application of the Socrates Method significantly influences students' historical thinking skills. This shows that the Socrates method has a positive influence on students' historical thinking skills in problem-based history learning.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Pondok Syawal activity program based on Malam Bina Iman dan Taqwa (MABIT) in cultivating Islamic character and understanding of the Islamic religion in students at MAN 2 Malang City. This activity program was carried out at the Al-Hayatul Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School, Malang City. This research uses a mixed method (quantitative-qualitative) sequential exploratory design. Data collection was carried out through surveys, in-depth interviews, and participant observation. The research subjects were students at MAN 2 Malang City who took part in the Pondok Syawal program in 1445 H, totaling 20 participants. The research results show that program is effective in cultivating Islamic character and understanding of the Islamic religion in students. This program contributed to the Islamic character of 92.8% (very good) and understanding of the Islamic religion of 78.4% (good). This program provides meaningful and contextual learning experiences for students, so they can understand and practice Islamic teachings better. Then students become more disciplined, have good morals, and understand Islamic teachings better. The findings of this research provide important implications for the implementation of Islamic education programs in madrasas. The MABIT-based Pondok Syawal program can be an alternative Islamic education program that is effective and beneficial for students.

Abstract

Rapid technological developments and demands for more interesting and interactive learning methods. Quizizz, as one of the popular quiz-based applications, is considered to have the potential to increase student learning motivation and provide teachers with fast feedback. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of using the Quizizz application as a formative evaluation tool for history learning students at MAN 2 Kota Malang. The research method employed is a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory design. Quantitative data were collected through quasi-experiments with a post-test-only control group design. Then, qualitative data were collected by conducting in-depth interviews with students and teachers to understand more deeply the factors that influence the effectiveness of Quizizz. The results of the study indicate that Several questions need to be fixed to match the objectives of measuring HOTS abilities. Quizizz media meets very good quality, namely 100% in the aspects of (1) objectivity, (2) practicality, (3) adaptability, and (4) interest. Quizizz media has been proven effective in increasing student learning motivation, both internally and externally. With an average score of 88 in the experimental group and a significance value of 0.000 in the t-test. Quizizz provides an interesting, interactive, and more motivating evaluation experience than conventional methods, making it an effective alternative for teachers in implementing formative evaluations to increase student learning motivation.

Abstract

Dunia yang semakin berkembang dan kompetitif menjadi tantangan bagi peserta didik tingkat menengah pertama. Peran guru yang signifikan harus membekali peserta didiknya untuk mempersiapkan mereka untuk sukses. Salah satu langkah untuk membekali mereka adalah meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Namun, berdasarkan pengamatan peneliti ketika mengajar di MTsN 2 Sumenep masih kurang. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang kurang dapat ditingkatkan melalui metode mind mapping. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik MTsN 2 Sumenep ketika diberikan metode mind mapping. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan sampel kelas IX-A MTsN 2 Sumenep sebanyak 30 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini antara lain observasi, dan dokumentasi yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pada siklus I menghasilkan 66%, dan siklus II yaitu 83%. Ada peningkatan berpikir kreatif dengan rata-rata 17% dengan indikasi, yaitu peserta didik mampu mengelaborasi, mengasosiasikan, dan membuat ide secara orisinil ketika diterapkan metode mind mapping.

Abstract

This research examines whether there is a causal relationship between variables, namely Out-Class At The Museum (OCAM) learning on motivation and history learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative experimental research with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The techniques used to collect data are tests, observation sheets, and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and inferentially. The research results show that students' motivation and learning outcomes in class are still low. It is known that learning motivation is an average of 49.5 and learning outcomes are an average of 46 during the pretest. Then, when treated with OCAM learning, learning motivation was an average of 74, and learning outcomes were an average of 62 during the posttest. OCAM learning is effective for motivation and learning outcomes. This is known from the learning motivation variable with a value of Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000<0.05 and the learning outcome variable has a value of Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000<0.05, so there is a significant difference between the average pretest and posttest results.
