The results of the analysis show that the theories of interlanguage, constructivism, and second language learning provide a strong foundation for the One Teacher One Language strategy. Constraints in implementation, such as time sharing and variations in teacher skills, require attention to theoretical principles, such as the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) and the use of scaffolding. However, the integration of language in the learning process, diverse learning strategies, direct interaction between teachers and students, and cultural activities demonstrate a comprehensive effort in creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

Early marriage is a social phenomenon that is still prevalent in many parts of the world, including Indonesia, with significant negative impacts on the health, education, and psychosocial well-being of individuals and communities. From a Hindu perspective, early marriage is not considered ideal as it contradicts the teachings on the importance of studying at a young age (brahmancari) before entering the household stage (grhasta). The practice of early marriage is often influenced by tradition, social pressure, and economic conditions, and has adverse effects on physical and mental health, as well as inhibiting the moral and psychosocial development of adolescents. This research uses communication methods through socialization and interactive discussions in Oman Nyambu Hamlet to raise community awareness about the dangers of early marriage. The results showed that socialization and legal and religious counseling are essential to increase community knowledge about the negative impacts of early marriage. These activities involve education and interactive discussions that help the community, especially teenagers and parents, understand the importance of delaying marriage until they reach emotional and mental maturity. Efforts to strengthen this awareness are expected to reduce the number of early marriages and improve the quality of life of the community. Thus, strengthening public awareness of the negative impact of early marriage in the Hindu perspective must continue to be promoted through various education and counseling programs. Only with high awareness and a good understanding of the importance of the brahmancari period, people can prepare themselves properly for life.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of globalization on Hindu religious practices and cultural expressions through a comprehensive literature review. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the research integrates multiple dimensions of globalization’s influence, including the adaptation of religious rituals, transformation of artistic expressions, technological integration, changes in community structures, and dynamics of cultural identity. Data were systematically collected and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, ensuring a holistic understanding of how Hindu communities navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by globalization. The findings reveal that Hindu communities are increasingly incorporating modern elements into traditional rituals, such as the use of social media and digital platforms for disseminating teachings and conducting virtual rituals, thereby attracting younger generations and expanding their religious outreach. Additionally, contemporary Hindu art that blends traditional and modern elements exemplifies a creative response to global influences. The integration of digital technology enhances participation and facilitates the broader preservation and dissemination of Hindu culture. Changes in community structures, particularly due to migration and diaspora, highlight the evolving dynamics of cultural identity and adaptation to multicultural environments. This study addresses existing gaps by providing a holistic analysis that combines local wisdom with global dynamics, emphasizing the crucial role of character-based educational leadership in managing these changes. The research contributes theoretically by offering a new analytical framework and practically by providing strategies for cultural adaptation and preservation, thereby guiding Hindu communities in maintaining their identities in the global era.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of art activities, specifically pasting and cutting, to stimulate cognitive development in early childhood at TK Dwijendra Mataram. A qualitative case study design was employed, incorporating observations, interviews with teachers and parents, and an analysis of supporting documents. Findings indicate that pasting and cutting activities have a significant impact on children’s cognitive development, particularly in terms of focus, decision-making, and basic analytical skills. These activities also promote fine motor skills, such as hand-eye coordination and hand muscle strength, essential for future writing readiness. However, challenges were identified regarding children's technical skills and parental perceptions of safety related to scissor use. Recommendations include enhancing material variety and fostering teacher-parent collaboration to support children’s skills holistically. These findings underscore the importance of simple art activities in advancing the cognitive and socio-emotional development of young children, especially within an exploratory learning context.

Abstract

This research explores and analyses the challenges cultural arts teachers at SMP Negeri Mataram City face in implementing learning evaluation using the competency-based curriculum. The expected cultural arts evaluation includes assessing student's creative process, attitude, knowledge, and skills, but most teachers still rely on product-based assessment. The method was qualitative, collecting data through questionnaires, interviews, and observations of 15 cultural arts teachers at SMP Negeri Kota Mataram. The results showed that teachers face difficulties in designing evaluation instruments according to the curriculum, especially due to the lack of understanding of authentic evaluation and time constraints due to high administrative loads. This study also found that the use of technology in evaluating cultural arts learning is still very limited. This research provides important insights into the need for competency-based evaluation training for cultural arts teachers and the utilisation of technology in the evaluation process. The findings form the basis for developing more effective training strategies to improve school cultural arts evaluation practices.

Abstract

Hindu religious education through pasraman plays an important role in the formation of the religious character and nationality of the younger generation in Indonesia. In the context of a multicultural society, educational communication carried out by an Acarya is a crucial strategy in instilling religious moderation values such as tolerance, love for the homeland, anti-violence, and respect for cultural diversity. This study aims to analyze the form and role of Acarya educational communication in learning the value of religious moderation in Pasraman Sad Dharma Dwijendra Mataram. We collected data using a descriptive qualitative approach, which involved in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation of learning activities and interactions between Acarya and Sisya. The results of the study show that Acarya educational communication includes an exemplary approach, interactive dialogue (Dharma Tula), and the delivery of Hindu narratives that are contextualized with social realities. These findings indicate that communication is not only a means of delivering material but also a medium for value transformation. This article contributes to the development of a religious learning model that is adaptive and relevant to the context of Indonesia's diversity. The results of this study are important to strengthen inclusive and transformative Hindu educational practices during complex socio-religious dynamics.

Abstract

The transformation of language learning in early childhood education has become an important issue in the discourse of education in the Society 5.0 era, which emphasizes the integration of technology and human values. This article discusses the implementation of the One Teacher One Language (OTOL) system as a strategic approach in creating a multilingual learning environment at TK Nasional 3 Bahasa Budi Luhur. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of the One Teacher One Language (OTOL) system, its supporting systems, and the role of facilities in creating a consistent learning ecosystem for three languages: Indonesian, English, and Mandarin. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analyzed using NVivo 14 software through the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The findings show that OTOL is implemented systematically through the division of teacher roles, cultural integration, facility enhancement, and parental involvement, despite facing challenges in coordination and continuity between sessions. The main contribution of this article lies in the empirical mapping of how OTOL can become a transformative learning model in multilingual education based on the values of Society 5.0. These results are important for strengthening early childhood education practices amid the demands of globalization, as well as serving as a strategic reference for the development of contextual and sustainable multilingual education curricula and policies.
