Abstract

Background: Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is an effort to protect workers and others who are in the workplace to avoid potential hazards or occupational accidents that can occur. Body posture is one of the things that greatly affects a person's work productivity and is one of the most important factors because posture can cause musculoskeletal disorder. Ergonomics is the study of equipment and workspace design to maximize productivity and minimize worker fatigue and pain. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of ergonomic knowledge of posture in dental practice at dental therapists. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional research design. The study population amounted to 34 respondents. Sampling by means of total sampling. Data collection instrument using questionnaire and observation using the Ovako Working Posture Analysis System (OWAS) method. Data analysis using univariate analysis uses SPSS to derive frequency distribution and proportions. The results of the study found that 34 respondents had a level of ergonomic knowledge of body posture in the good category of dental practice. Posture in the back posture category with a straight / upright indicator of 34 (100%), the arm posture category with the indicator of left and right arms above the shoulder by 12 (35.2%), and the category of foot posture that is often done by respondents is the indicator of sitting and walking by 33 (97.0%) and standing and resting on both straight legs by 31 (91.1%). In conclusion, the knowledge of dental and oral therapists regarding ergonomics towards good category posture.

Abstract

Community Dental Health Efforts is an educative approach that aims to increase theability and participation of the community in dental health maintenance, by integratingpromotive, preventive dental health efforts. This activity needs to be carried out toincrease awareness, willingness, ability and participation of the community / family in themaintenance of dental health. The purpose of cadre empowerment activities is toincrease the knowledge of dental health cadres. The method of cadre empowermentactivities is carried out through training on 20 cadres of the Raflesia Posyandu. Theresults of the analysis of the average value of knowledge of dental health cadres for thecadre pre-test were 9,45 while the post test was 9,65. Based on the average difference,it shows 0,20, which means that cadre empowerment is effective in increasing theknowledge of dental health cadres.

Abstract

Dental trauma often occurs in school students. Teachers were the first people responsible for the initial handling of dental emergencies in the school environment. Teachers need to have good knowledge of handling dental emergencies. Proper management of dental emergencies during these events can improve the prognosis of dental trauma. The purpose of this service is to foster teachers’ awareness and readiness to deal with dental emergencies in the school environment. The service method consisted of several activities, namely training for 14 teachers, DMF-T examinations, toothbrushes, and dental immunizations, which were conducted on 157 students. The results of teachers' knowledge after being given training showed that the average teacher's knowledge score ranged from 78.75 to 92.86 with a p-value = 0.002, indicating that training on handling dental emergencies can increase teachers' knowledge. Students ' dental caries experience consisted of decay examination by 64%, missing by 33% and filling by 3%, and dental immunization by the application of CPP-ACP. This activity showed an increase in the participants' knowledge and was used as a manifestation of solutions to equip teachers regarding dental emergencies and their handling. It is hoped that teachers can apply their knowledge and act in the event of an emergency in the school environment.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kesehatan gigi dan mulut di Indonesia saat ini masih menjadi masalah terutama gigi berlubang. Oleh karena itu perlunya upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan gigi berlubang tersebut dengan melakukan penyuluhan kesehatan gigi tentang karies. Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dapat mempermudah mendapatkan informasi baik secara langsung maupun melalui internet. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui efektivitas penyuluhan kesehatan gigi bebasis online dan offline dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan pada SMP Sejahtera Jakarta. Metode: penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasi exsperimen dengan pre-test dan post-test. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 40 siswa , dibagi menjadi kelompok online berjumlah 20 siswa dan kelompok offline berjumlah 20 siswa yang diambil menggunakan rumus slovin. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis univariat dan bivariat uji yang digunakan yaitu uji Wilcoxon dan Man- whitney. Hasil: Hasil uji wilcoxon menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan nilai antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan baik secara online maupun secara offline, dimana nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) variabel pengetahuan secara online yaitu P= 0,000 dan variabel pengetahuan secara offline P=0,000. Hasil uji Man-whitney menunjukkan adanya perbedaan efektifitas antara penyuluhan online dan penyuluhan offline dengan nilai P= 0,039, dan didapatkan nilai mean penyuluhan secara offline adalah 24,13 dan nilai mean penyuluhan secara online adalah 16,88. Kesimpulan: Penyuluhan secara offline lebih efektif terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan daripada penyuluhan secara online
