Abstract

Madrasah memiliki peran strategi dalam pembangunan bangsa. Madrasah masih dianggap nomer dua karena penyelenggaraan madrasah masih menghadapi masalah besar seperti masalah pengelolaan dan rendahnya mutu pendidikan madrasah. Dalam perkembangannya ada dua momentum eksistensi madrasah yaitu SKB 3 mentri 1975 yang menjadi awal sebuah pengakuan madrasah sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam yang setara dengan pendidikan umum. UU Sisdiknas Nomor 2/1989 yang menjadikan madrasah bukan saja sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang setara dengan umum, selain itu madrasah diakui sebagai sekolah umum. Munculnya SKB 3 mentri dinilai sebagai langkah positif bagi peningkatan mutu madrasah. Aik dari status, nilai ijazah maupun kurikulumnya. Perkembangan kurikulum madrasah tidak terlepas dari sejak awal masuk agama Islam dan perkembangannya sejak zaman pra-kemerdekaan hingga sekarang. Secara garis besar kurikulum madrasah dibagi menjadi tiga periode yaitu: kurikulum madrasah sebelum kemerdekaan, kurikulum madrasah sesudah kemerdekaan, kurikulum madrasah pasca kemerdekaan. Kurikulum dalam transformasinya mengalami perubahan untuk pendidikan dimasa depan dan berkembang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan perkembangan zaman hingga bisa menjadi kurikulum seperti saat ini.

Abstract

This study examines ecoliteracy among students as a form of environmental  awareness transformation in green Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in Indonesia from a literacy perspective. Pesantren are not only Islamic educational institutions but also have great potential in shaping the character of students who care about the environment. Through the integration of Islamic values, environmentally friendly practices, and an ecological literacy approach, green Islamic boarding schools create a learning ecosystem that fosters ecological awareness. This study highlights how students experience changes in their perspectives, behaviors, and active participation in environmental protection through literacy based on Islamic values and the pesantren's local context. This transformation demonstrates that ecoliteracy is not only about ecological knowledge, but also the internalization of spiritual, social, and cultural values in building sustainable environmental awareness.

Abstract

This research aims to determine: (1) Implementation of bahtsul masail activities in FMAA activities (2) Contribution of FMAA activities in increasing students' understanding of the yellow book. (3) Contribution of FMAA activities in improving Santri's critical thinking. (4) Supporting and inhibiting factors for FMAA's contribution to increasing students' understanding of the yellow book and students' critical thinking. The method used is field research with a qualitative approach and the type of research is case study. Data collection uses interview, observation and documentation methods. The data analysis techniques used are: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that bahtsul masail activities in the Anjang Sanjang Here (FMAA) deliberative forum can contribute to increasing the understanding of Santri in understanding the Yellow Book and thinking critically.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of madrasah principals’ leadership and committee roles on teacher performance and their impact on student achievement in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) across Tabanan Regency, Bali Province. Employing a quantitative approach with an explanatory causal design, data were collected from 49 respondents selected through purposive sampling, including principals, teachers, and committee members with a minimum of two years of experience. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that all constructs meet validity and reliability criteria, with strong measurement and structural model performance (R² = 0.713 for teacher performance and 0.857 for student achievement; Q² = 0.9589). The findings reveal that principal leadership and committee roles have positive and significant effects on both teacher performance and student achievement. Among these, the committee role demonstrates the strongest influence, particularly in enhancing teacher performance. Teacher performance also significantly affects student achievement, confirming its role as a key mediating variable. Mediation analysis shows that teacher performance partially mediates the relationship between committee roles and student achievement, while it does not significantly mediate the effect of principal leadership. These findings highlight the importance of collaborative leadership and stakeholder involvement in improving educational outcomes. Practically, the study suggests that strengthening institutional leadership and community participation can effectively enhance teacher performance and student achievement in Islamic secondary education.
