Abstract

Currently, the sustainability of MSMEs businesses in the food sector depends on the halal status of the products. This phenomenon is in accordance with the establishment of halal certification. A strict halal certification system has been implemented to ensure that food and beverage products meet the halal standards regulated by the government. The lack of access to information and limited knowledge caused the businessmen of MSMEs getting difficulties to obtain halal certification. This community service activity aims to provide socialization and assistance to both service partners, Mie Ayam Ruham and D’Jaguar Food, in obtaining halal certification for their flagship products. Mie Ayam Ruham has chicken noodle as its flagship product, while D’Jaguar Food has mie galak as its flagship product. Both partners are located in Bangsalsari District, Jember Regency. The community service activities are divided into several stages: preparation stage, halal assurance system socialization stage, interviews and discussions, technical assistance, and preparation of halal certification document requirements. Both service partners provided positive feedback on these community service activities. The technical assistance process and document preparation assistance were supposed to convey simple understanding of the importance of halal certification, facilitate the work, and provide clear understanding to both partners.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Theo van Leeuwen model of inclusion and exclusion strategies used by the online media detikcom, KOMPAS.com, Serambinews.com, and CNN Indonesia. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data used in this study are phrases, clauses, and sentences in the four online media companies that address the polemic against the Job Creation Act. The instrument of this research is the researcher himself assisted by other supporting instruments such as books and supporting articles regarding Theo van Leeuwen’s theory. The data collection methods used were reading and note-taking techniques. The analytical method used is the observation method. The advanced technique uses free, engaged listening. The results of the study are as follows (1) inclusion strategy in online media detikcom, KOMPAS.com, Serambinews.com, and CNN Indonesia includes passivation, nominalization, and substitute clauses, (2) exclusion strategy in online media detikcom, KOMPAS.com, Serambinews.com, and CNN Indonesia include objectivation-abstraction, nomination-categorization, nomination-identification, assimilation-individualization, and association-dissociation.

Abstract

Artikel ini mendeskripsikan perihal pemaknaan adjektiva bertaraf dalam novel Lintang Kemukus Dini Hari karya Ahmad Tohari dengan analisis berbasis korpus linguistik. Adapun tujuan yang ingin dicapai pada penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan adjektiva bertaraf, seperti adjektiva pemeri, sifat, ukuran, warna, waktu, jarak, sikap batin, dan serapan dalam novel “Lintang Kemukus Dini Hari Karya Ahmad Tohari dalam Korpus Linguistik”. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik kualitatif pada novel Lintang Kemukus Dini Hari yang dijadikan data dalam bentuk file txt,. Setelah itu penulis membuka aplikasi korpus yang bernama AntConc versi 3.5.8. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pustaka. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan pendekatan korpus linguistik. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini diambil dari novel Lintang Kemukus Dini Hari yang penulis masukkan dalam aplikasi korpus AntConc versi 3.5.8. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukannya adjektiva bertaraf pemeri sifat, adjektiva bertaraf ukuran, adjektiva bertaraf, adjektiva bertaraf, adjektiva bertaraf jarak, adjektiva bertaraf sikap batin, dan adjektiva bertaraf serapan yang dapat dianalisis dengan aplikasi korpus AntConc versi 3.5.8. pada novel Lintang Kemukus Dini Hari karya Ahmad Tohari.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan motivasi siswa di dalam menulis, khususnya menulis teks cerpen. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan di SMP Darussalam Durenan, Trenggalek. Adapun peserta dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah sebanyak 30 orang siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam 5 tahapan, yaitu (1) pemberian materi dalam bentuk ceramah, berdiskusi, dan presentasi materi kemudian siswa melakukan tanya jawab; (2) proses menemukan ide dalam menulis cerpen; (3) membuat kerangka menulis cerpen dengan metode mind mapping; (4) kegiatan menulis cerpen yang dilakukan oleh siswa dengan berdasarkan kerangka cerita yang sudah dibuat dengan metode mind mapping, dan (5) pembacaan cerpen dan pengevaluasian di depan kelas. Kegiatan pelatihan ini memberikan dampak yang signifikan kepada siswa terbukti dari hasil karya yang sudah dikerjakan oleh siswa tersebut.

Abstract

This research focuses on the cultural expressions of Ponorogo district manifested in two main dimensions: oral literature and the performing art of Reog Ponorogo. Oral literature in Ponorogo has an important role in maintaining tradition and history, while Reog Ponorogo as a performing art form depicts local values and mythologies that are passed down through generations. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the two cultural dimensions in shaping the identity of the Ponorogo community, as well as the challenges of modernization that affect its sustainability. This study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach that allows researchers to understand the Ponorogo culture deeply from the perspective of the local community. Based on field studies and existing literature, this article concludes that these two cultural expressions support each other and become an integral part of the cultural identity of the Ponorogo Regency. Using a qualitative and ethnographic approach, this article will examine how these two cultural dimensions interact with each other in shaping Ponorogo's distinctive cultural identity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the values of character education in the short story collection "This Child Wants to Pee in Jakarta". The values of character education in the short story collection "This Child Wants to Pee in Jakarta" are religious character values, patience, attention, liking to listen to advice, trying hard, fighting for the truth, justice, honesty, positive thinking/husnudzan, persistence, independence, never giving up, liking to read, and ideals. Religious character values related to divinity can be applied indirectly through worship activities at school. Likewise, other character values can be closely related to the teaching of character education at school. And its utilization in learning activities in high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The data of this research are in the form of sentences/paragraphs in event units in five short stories "This Child Wants to Pee in Jakarta" by Ahmad Tohari, "Hakim Sarmin" by Agus Noor, "Basa-Basi" by Jujur Prananto, "Two Singers" by Budi Darma, and "A Bottle of Rain of Sapardi" by Joko Pinurbo. The instrument in this research is the researcher himself who is equipped with a set of theories and concepts regarding the values of character education. The data analysis method used in this research is content analysis, while the data analysis technique in this research is descriptive qualitative.

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menulis cerpen dan sebagai bentuk pengembangan diri. Pendekatan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan praktis digunakan dalam pelatihan ini. Para peserta pelatihan terdiri dari 30 peserta didik SMP Negeri 3 Jember yang memiliki minat potensi dalam menulis kreatif cerpen. Dalam hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa 90 persen peserta aktif terlibat dalam pelatihan penulisan kreatif cerpen, yang dapat terlihat melalui kemampuan kreatif mereka dalam menulis cerpen. Kegiatan ini juga berhasil menarik minat peserta pelatihan untuk membangun budaya literasi yang sehat, fleksibel, dan ramah. Peserta dapat menerapkan apa yang telah mereka pelajari dalam kegiatan ini, yaitu memanfaatkan sumber daya di sekitar mereka sebagai sumber literasi. Proses dan hasil dari pelatihan ini bergantung pada tingkat kedisiplinan setiap individu. Oleh karena itu, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini berlangsung sukses dan tanpa rintangan.

Abstract

This study examines swear words as a form of social criticism in the short story “Jawaban Alina” by Seno Gumira Ajidarma, read by Dian Sastrowardoyo. Swear words, generally considered rude and impolite, may serve both aesthetic and rhetorical functions in literature. The data were collected from a transcription of the spoken performance, analyzed using qualitative content analysis within a sociolinguistic framework. The study specifically investigates how swear words function as linguistic strategies of resistance and emotional expression that reflect social inequality. The results show that swear words in this short story function as expressions of protest, emotional assertion, and satire against social injustice. The analysis highlights the connection between sociolinguistic theory and social criticism, emphasizing that linguistic choice can reveal social tension and ideological struggle in literary texts.
