Abstract

Nutritional status at the Batu Aji Community Health Center is the first problem in Batam City and Buliang Village is the highest among other districts. This research aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and environmental sanitation on the nutritional status of toddlers in Buliang Village, Batam City in 2023. This type of research is used is quantitative with a cross sectional research design. The subjects in this research were mothers with toddlers aged 0-59 months who lived in Buliang Village, Batam City. The sampling technique used was Cluster Random Sampling with chi-square test analysis . The results of the chi square test data analysis show that there is a relationship between personal hygiene and nutritional status in toddlers (p value = 0.022), environmental sanitation and nutritional status in toddlers (p value = 0.032). The conclusion from this research is that there is a relationship between personal hygiene and environmental sanitation on the nutritional status of toddlers. It is hoped that the community will be more disciplined in paying attention to toddlers' personal hygiene and environmental sanitation so that they pay attention to fulfilling the environmental sanitation requirements of SPALs and waste disposal sites.

Abstract

Prevention of sexual violence is an important program that every school must have. The ideal prevention program is a program that is initiated from below, namely from the hopes of all students, teachers and all stakeholders. Bullying is a loan word from English. Bullying comes from the word bully which means bully, someone who bullies weak people. Based on the proliferation of bullying cases in educational institutions in Indonesia, especially in the school environment, the author determines the location for outreach related to bullying behavior at the educational level. The service activity aims to develop a school-based sexual violence and bullying prevention program with stages focus group discussion (FGD) and campaigns to prevent sexual violence and bullying. This activity was held on Wednesday, February 14 2024, and will be attended by students from X High School, Batam City. The aim of this activity is to provide a preventive impact on students so that sexual violence and bullying behavior does not occur in the school, family or community environment. The results of the FGD show that most students have sufficient knowledge about sexual violence. They associate sexual violence with sexual activity, while non-sexual behavior is considered unrelated to sexual violence. Many students have been victims or witnesses of sexual violence at school, home and public places. Students recommended that sexual assault prevention programs focus on students' needs and perspectives. The next step is to develop a school-based sexual violence prevention program based on student input.

Abstract

Lalat adalah hewan pembawa penyakit yang dapat membahayakan bagi manuisa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang berhubungan dengan kepadatan vektor Musca Domestica (lalat rumah) di Kota Batam tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah semua ibu dan bapak yang berdomisili di RW 011 Kelurahan Baloi Permai Kota Batam yang berjumlah 38 sampel. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Analisa data yang digunakan analisis bivariat dengan uji chi-square. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan antara kondisi kelembaban dengan kepadatan lalat Musca Domestica (p value = 0,024), kondisi tempat sampah rumah tangga dengan kepadatan lalat Musca Domestica (p value = 0,011), kondisi Saluran Pembuangan Air Limbah (SPAL) (p value = 0,005). Akan tetapi temperatur tidak ada hubungan dengan kepadatan lalat Musca Domestica (p value = 1,000). Temperatur, kelembaban, kondisi tempat sampah rumah tangga dan kondisi saluran pembuangan air limbah merupakan determinan kepadatan lalat rumah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan dan Sikap Guru terhadap Penerapan Sarana Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat di Sekolah Binaan Yayasan Perguruan Islam X Batam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru yang bekerja di bawah binaan Yayasan Perguruan Islam X Batam dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 58 responden dan analisis statistik menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan pengetahuan guru terhadap penerapan sarana perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (p-value= 0,011 ≤ 0,05); hubungan sikap guru terhadap penerapan praktik perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (p-value = 0,031 ≤ 0,05). Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara hubungan dan sikap guru terhadap penerapan sarana perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat di sekolah. Saran untuk sekolah binaan yayasan perguruan islam X batam agar membuat MOU antar instansi kesehatan, melakukan sosialisasi kepada siswa/i, serta adanya kerja sama antara kepala sekolah dan guru untuk selalu konsisten menerapkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat.

Abstract

Presentasi Tempat Pengelolaan Makanan (TPM) di Kepulauan Riau sebesar 40,4% Kota Bintan cakupan tertinggi dan Kota Batam dengan cakupan terendah. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku dan fasilitas sarana prasarana terhadap personal hygiene pengelola makanan jajanan di Sekolah Kecamatan Bengkong Kota Batam 2024.Penelitian ini bersifat observasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode cross- sectional. Sampel pada penelitian ini 30 responden. Analisa data menggunakan univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji chi-square dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% dengan nilai p- value 0.05.Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara pengetahuan (p= 0,048), sikap (p= 0,008), saluran air limbah (p= 0,021) terhadap personal hygiene. Tidak ada hubungan ketersediaan tempat sampah (homogen) dan ketersediaan air bersih (homogen) terhadap personal hygiene. Perilaku lebih berhubungan dibandingkan sarana terhadap personal hygiene. Disarankan penjamah mendapatkan edukasi kembali mengenai hygiene dan sanitasi.

Abstract

HIV-AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) are major health problems still faced by workers, especially in the industrial, construction, and migrant sectors. Lack of awareness, social stigma, and limited access to health information and services are major obstacles. Therefore, an effective educational approach and campaign are needed to raise awareness and shape preventive behavior in the work environment. This community service program aimed to improve workers' knowledge and attitudes regarding the prevention of HIV-AIDS and TB at PT X in Batam City. The method of implementing the activity includes initial observation, literature study, concept planning, implementation of education, focus group discussions (FGD), and evaluation through pre-post tests. The target of the activity is 30 PT X workers. Knowledge and attitudes are measured using a structured questionnaire, then the changes are analyzed after the educational intervention. Through educational sessions, group discussions, and visual campaigns, pre- and post-tests were conducted to evaluate the impact. The results showed significant improvement in knowledge (average score increased from 58.2 to 78.7) and positive attitudes (from 33% to 83%). This program proved effective in fostering preventive behaviors and reducing stigma against HIV and TB patients in the workplace. It is hoped that companies can continue these efforts sustainably through supportive policies, screening facilities, and regular counseling.

Abstract

Stunting adalah suatu keadaan diamana tinggi atau panjang badan anak dibandingkan dengan usianya mereka dibawah -2 SD (Standar Deviasi). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahuai hubungan sanitasi lingkungan, pengetahuan dan sikap ibu terhadap kejadian stunting balita usia 2-5 tahun di Kelurahan Lubuk Baja Kota Batam Tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki anak berumur 2-5 tahun. Hasil analisis uji chi-square menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara sanitasi lingkungan dengn kejadian stunting pada balita (p- value = 0,022), tidak terdapat hubungan pengetahuan ibu dengan kejadian stunting (p-value = 0,0292), dan tidak terdapat hubungan sikap ibu dengan kejadian stunting (p-value = 1.000)
