Abstract

Metode yang digunaka untuk pengambilan sampel ialah Purposive Random Sampling. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan 4 divisi Fitoplankton, yaitu Chrysophyta 59%, Chlorophyta 2%, Cyanophyta 31% dan Bacillariophyta 8%. Keanekaragaman berbanding dengan nilai indeks (H’) ditunjukkan seperti berikut ini : pH keanekaragaman dengan indeks (H’) sebesar 0.317 dinyatakan memiliki tingkat hubungan rendah (0.20-0.317). Suhu dengan indeks keanekaragaman (H’) sebesar –0.290 dinyatakan memiliki tingkat hubungan sangat rendah (0.00-0.290). TSS dengan indeks keanekaragaman (H’) sebesar 0.046 dinyatakan untuk nilai hubungan sangat rendah (0.00-0.046). Fosfat dengan indeks keanekaragaman (H’) sebesar -0.087 menyatakan nilai hubungan sangat rendah (0.00-0.087).

Abstract

Kulit ari kedelai adalah limbah tempe yang dianggap masyarakat tidak memiliki nilai ekonomis, namun jumlahnya tiap hari makin bertambah dan dapat mencemari lingkungan. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk menggabungkan dua bahan tersebut untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan dalam pembuatan biogas. Proses fermentasi anaerob dilakukan dengan penambahan starter buatan yaitu EM-16 (Effective Microorganisme-16). Adapun rasio yang telah ditetapkan pada bahan kulit ari kedelai dan sampah organik pasar yakni (50:50, 20:80, 40:60, 80:20, 60:40) . Parameter yang dianalisa pada penelitian ini antara lain suhu, tekanan, kadar air, C/N rasio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biogas terbaik pada variasi bahan kulit ari kedelai dan sampah pasar dengan perbandingan 20:80 dengan kadar air sebesar 31,58%, rasio C/N sebesar 25,23% dan waktu terbaik pada hari ke 25 ditandai dengan kenaikan tekanan yang semakin meningkat dari hari 1 hingga ke 25 yaitu pada hari ke-25 sejumlah 0,28 Psi dan suhu terbaik pada hari ke 25 dengan suhu 35oC.

Abstract

Pengolahan air limbah rumah potong hewan lebih sesuai dilakukan dengan carapengolahan biologis karena dapat menurunkan kandungan zat organikdidalamnya. Proses pengolahan biologis yang dapat digunakan yaitu prosesMoving Bed Biofilm Reactor. MBBR adalah pertumbuhan biologis denganmenggunakan biakan tersuspensi dan melekat yang tercampur didalam suatureaktor dengan aerasi dan media yang bergerak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui efisiensi penurunan BOD, TSS dan NH3-N dengan menggunakanMBBR pada air limbah rumah potong hewan. Media yang digunakan padapenelitian ini adalah media Kaldness K3 dengan variasi volume media yaitukontrol, 15%, 30%, 45% dan 60%. Variasi kedua yaitu jenis aerator, aerator kasardan aerator halus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa reaktorMBBR dengan volume media 60% dari volume limbah, dan jenis aerator haluspada waktu sampling 12 jam sangat efisien. Reaktor tersebut dapat menurunkanBOD sebesar 93,97%; TSS sebesar 86,09% NH3-N sebesar 87,52%.

Abstract

Chicken manure is an organic waste that can be a source of pollution for the environment if it is not treated before being discharged into the environment. The treatment offered to overcome this is the bioconversion process, namely the overhaul of organic waste by a fermentation process carried out by living things, one of which is Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae. The aim of the study was to determine the amount of reduction that BSF larvae can do in treating chicken manure with variations of bioactivators and modification of feed rates and their effect on the growth of BSF larvae and content in BSF larvae. The optimal reduction results in chicken manure without bioactivator was 66.7%, with MOL Rice 60%, MOL Pineapple 62.2%, MOL Papaya 62.2%, and EM4 66.7%. The average increase in body length of BSF larvae was 0.7 cm and the average weight gain was 0.4 g. The best content of BSF larvae to be given as feed for laying hens II according to SNI is BSF larvae by giving chicken manure waste without variation.

Abstract

Surabaya's Animal Feed Agroindustry is a massive enterprise withinside the subject of animal feed that ensures the great of feed from the start of the method to packaging. The system of the use of chemical substances to enhance the great of the ensuing product. The application of the OH&S Management System needs to be evaluated in the control of hazardous chemicals. The method used aims to implement an OH&S Management System in accordance with PP RI number 50 of 2012 concerning the Control of Hazardous Chemicals. Because the company is still implementing Kepmenaker Kep. 187/MEN/1999. The results of the evaluation are based on PP RI number 50 of 2012 that the company only meets 2 sub-criteria, namely there are material safety data sheets and occupational safety and health signs. So, the company is still fixing 3 more sub-criteria in the implementation of OH&S Management System.

Abstract

Motor vehicles that are often used can have a serious impact, especially on the en-vironment. This study aims to determine CO2 emissions and the percentage of in-terest of vehicle users who want to switch to online-based vehicles so that there can be known to reduce the burden of CO2 emissions. The research method used the Mobile 6 equation and interviews with 59 vehicle users. The total result of CO2 emissions in Sukolilo Subdistrict amounted to 9,087,284.469 kg / year. The change in CO2 emissions from private vehicles to online motorcycles and online cars was 17.01% (1,528,256.816 tons of CO2/year) and 14.9% (1,341,380.027 tons of CO2/year). The selection of mo-tor bikes online has one of the most influential fac-tors, namely traffic congestion. As for the selection of online cars influenced by 2 significant factors, namely the factor of limited parking space and more comforta-ble for travel.

Abstract

PT. Ambico is a company engaged in the food industry with the main raw material from porang tubers. Of course, this will have a negative impact if the high production increase is not accompanied by the utilization of the resulting sludge. Therefore, the use of mud and soil from washing porang tubers really needs to be reused as a mixture of planting media for the growth rate of porang seedlings. The research was conducted by mixing the composition of the growing media from the nursery process. During the process, measurements of porang height, porang diameter and nutritional analysis were carried out at the end of the study (10th week). The parameters tested consisted of pH, N-Total, phosphorus, potassium, Corganic, and C/N ratio. This study aims to determine the optimal composition between the ratio of mud and soil from tuber washing (½:1, 1:1, 1:1 and 2:1) and variations in watering volume (150 ml, 300 ml). , and 600ml). on the growth rate of porang seedlings until the 10th week. The results showed that the S1-P3 reactor experienced the best growth in height and diameter of porang among the compositions of mud and other tuber washing soils. While in control, the K3-P3 reactor experienced the best growth process in terms of height, diameter and nutrient content.

Abstract

Crab shell and shrimp shell waste contains chitin which is considered to have the potential to become Chitosan Polymer Medium (CPM) as a mask coating material to remove toxic substances in cigarette smoke. Hazards that have been identified require several control measures to a point of safety. The way that can be used to control the dangers of cigarette smoke is to use a mask. Therefore, this study aims to determine the CPM characteristics of crab shells and shrimp shells that are useful as CPM. The analysis used is Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) to determine the characteristics, and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) to determine the structure and degree of deacetylation. The best results obtained from this study were Chitosan Polymer Medium (CPM) shrimp shells with a pore diameter of ± 0.31 m – 0.33 m with a high density and a degree of deacetylation of 82.10%.

Abstract

The kafe business experienced an increase of 16-18% in 2019 so that the waste generated also increased. Kafe waste has the same characteristics as domestic liquid waste with some characteristics being BOD, COD and fats. The exudate produced by plant roots is beneficial for microbes in helping to decompose organic matter. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cutting the roots of aquatic plants on the removal of BOD and COD levels in domestic waste and their effect on the growth of the number of microorganisms. In this study, two stages were used. The first stage is the pre-treatment stage starting from plant propagation, acclimatization, range finding test (RFT), cutting roots (with variations of 0%, 25% and 50%) and using Grease trap to remove oil and fat content. Then the core research stage is the removal of BOD and COD using the phytoremediation method with water hyacinth. From this research, it was found that the variation of plant stems and 50% root prunning on the 25th day had the most effective BOD and COD removal capabilities, namely 95.60% for BOD removal and 93.37% for COD removal. In addition, the results of this study also prove that there is an influence between the treatment of cutting plant roots and the growth of the number of microbes. This is evidenced by the large number of microbes in the 50% root cutting treatment, which is 101.24 mg/L

Abstract

Exposure to cigarette smoke in passive smokers has a bad impact because the substances inhaled are 4-6 times greater than the levels inhaled by active smokers. Nicotine is a dangerous substance in cigarettes that can cause respiratory disease. Rajungan shell waste in Indonesia is very abundant and has a chitin content of 50%-60%. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Rajungan Shell (Portunus pelagicus) as an antitoxic mask coated with Chitosan Polymer Medium (CPM) for nicotine reduction using the spray coating method. Variations in CPM variables were concentrations of 10,000 ppm, 20,000 ppm, 30,000 ppm, 40,000 ppm, and 50,000 ppm with a total of 3 sprays, 5 sprays, and 7 sprays. The results obtained were the degree of deacetylation 69.45%, percent nicotine removal 80.73%, and adsorption capacity of 4,9993 mg/g.
