Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “URGENSI PENERAPAN BEBERAPA METODE PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB YANG EFEKTIF DALAM MENINGKATAKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA KITAB KUNING PADA MAHASISWA PRODI PBA FTIK IAIN PALU”. Fokus permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana penerapan beberapa metode pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang efektif dalam meningkatakan kemampuan membaca kitab kuning pada mahasiswa Prodi PBA FTIK IAIN Palu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan beberapa metode pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang efektif dalam meningkatakan kemampuan membaca kitab kuning pada mahasiswa Prodi PBA FTIK IAIN Palu. Penelitian dilakukan di Jurusan/Program Studi PBA FTIK IAIN Palu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan (field research ) yang memberikan gambaran situasi dan kejadian secara sistematis, utuh serta aktual, mengenai faktor-faktor dan sifat-sifat yang saling mempengaruhi, serta menjelaskan hubungan dari permasalahan yang sedang diteliti. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan studi lapangan, wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Data yang didapat di lapangan kemudian dianalisis dan disusun dalam draft tanya jawab antara peneliti yang kemudian membuat kesimpulan umum untuk dilaporkan sebagai hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan beberapa metode di kalangan mahasiswa IAIN Palu tidak berjalan dengan efektif kecuali metode qawaid tarjamah, sebagaimana yang diamanatkan dalam kurikulum tahun 1998. Tidak adanya titik temu antara kurikulum dan pelaksana kurikulum dalam hal ini dosen yang menjadi faktor utama tidak terselenggaranya metode tersebut sesuai dengan harapan. Sedangkan metode qawaid tarjamah lebih efektif dibanding metode lainnya. Selain itu, keterampilan berbahasa dan membaca kitab kuning yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa IAIN Palu sangat dibawa standar walaupun metode qawaid tarjamah sangat berpengaruah tapi tidak maksimal, ini diakibatkan oleh penerapan metode langsung yang menggunakan teori nazariyah al-wahdah, namun tidak terdapat kemantapan dalam membaca dan menerjemah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the al-intiqaiyyah method to improve Arabic reading skills (maharah al-qira’ah) in grade VIII Islamic Junior High School (MTs) students. This study fills the gap in previous studies by focusing on improving reading skills and exploring the flexibility of eclectic methods in adjusting learning to students' needs. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the application of the al-intiqaiyyah method in maharah al-qira’ah learning at State Islamic Junior High School (MTsN) 2 Palu City. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using condensation techniques, data presentation, and concluding. Data validity was tested through triangulation of sources and methods. Implementing the al-intiqaiyyah method in maharah al-qira’ah learning at MTsN 2 Palu City involves three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. This eclectic method combines audiolingual, grammar-translation, and task-based learning approaches to improve students' understanding of Arabic texts, pronunciation, and vocabulary. Evaluation is carried out through formative and summative assessments. As a result, students can understand sentence structures, apply grammar rules, and improve their speaking and writing skills through practical exercises. This approach supports a deeper and more applicable understanding of learning Arabic. This study was limited to minimal supporting facilities and a sample from one school, so the results are less generalizable. Further research is recommended to test the eclectic method in various schools with different conditions, expand the use of technology, and explore its impact on other language skills.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze the problems of diversity in students' educational backgrounds and the policies of the UIN Datokarama Palu Arabic Language Education (PBA) learning program. The type of research used in this research is qualitative field research. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique uses the Huberman and Miles method. The results of the research show that the Arabic language learning problems faced by students of the Arabic Language Study Program (PBA) at UIN Datokarama Palu consist of language proficiency problems, psychological problems, and intellectual problems. The Arabic language study program policy is to manage these problems through the application of various learning methods and models, the provision of scholarships, and the formation of Arabic study groups. Through the application of various learning methods and models, language proficiency problems faced by students can be overcome. Meanwhile, providing scholarships is effective in overcoming the psychological problems faced by students. The formation of an Arabic study group is effective in overcoming language proficiency problems and intellectual problems.
