Abstract

Constructive play with the Building Blocks method can provide building blocks for children to explore mathematical concepts and improve their social skills through interaction in play activities. This activity not only stimulates creativity, but also supports the development of communication and collaboration skills among children. educators pay less attention to children playing with blocks and tend to provide immediate intervention. When children create buildings from blocks, the teacher is not only an example and facilitator but can be a partner when children play with blocks. The sample of this study from institutions in one cluster, namely PAUD Herni Dwi Wulan totaling 28 children as an experimental group and PAUD Anak Ceria totaling 26 children as a control group. Research data can be quantitative and qualitative data in the form of numbers and observations during activities. The tcount result of creative thinking ability is then compared with the ttable price = 2.008, with the interpolation formula of dk = 52. Based on these calculations, it turns out that the tcount is greater than the ttable (4.147 > 2.008), thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Constructive play with the “Building Blocks” method, proven effective for improving creative thinking skills in early childhood, based on an assessment with the Independent Sample t-test which shows the results of t count greater than t table.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the results of the study of the impact of implementing learning with a simple STEAM approach in forming ecoliteracy about agricultural environmental awareness in 4-5 Year Old Children. The study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with the research instruments being observation sheets and structured interviews to explore primary data. This research was conducted at the Hj. Maryam PAUD institution in Wonosobo district and BIAS PAUD in Temanggung district with a research sample of 24 children, this is based on the fact that both districts are agricultural producing areas. The research procedures include: 1) Preparation, 2) Implementation, and 3) Data analysis. The results of the study show that ecoliteracy in early childhood can be formed through simple science analogies and agricultural learning experiences using the STEAM approach, and produce holistic integration of high-level cognitive competencies, attitudes (affective) and actions (psychomotor) in their learning.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines how Islamic educational management embeds religious values in everyday character-building practices in Islamic preschools and identifies the organizational mechanisms that support or constrain their continuity. Design/methods/approach – A multi-site qualitative case study was conducted in three Islamic early childhood institutions in Wonosobo, Central Java, Indonesia. Data were collected from January to April 2026 through non-participant observations, semi-structured interviews with 21 participants (three principals, ten teachers, two administrative staff members, and six parents), and institutional document analysis. Data were analyzed through thematic coding, within-case analysis, cross-site comparison, and source triangulation.Findings – Management functions were present but integrated at different levels of operational maturity. Religious and character-building practices were implemented consistently, while planning remained broadly normative, staff coordination relied substantially on informal communication, and evaluation did not yet generate systematic feedback for program improvement. Character-building practices were most coherent when habituation, teacher role modeling, school culture, and home-school-community reinforcement supported one another.Research implications/limitations – The study is limited to three institutions in one regency and does not directly measure internal psychological change or long-term developmental outcomes. The findings therefore support analytical transfer rather than statistical generalization.Practical implications – Islamic preschool leaders should translate broad character goals into observable developmental indicators, institutionalize collaborative reflection, strengthen authentic assessment, and establish reciprocal family communication.Originality/value – The study proposes managerial value internalization as a contextually grounded explanation of how Islamic values are translated into organizational priorities, recurring practices, adult examples, shared expectations, and feedback processes that support their possible internalization by children.Paper type Research paper
