Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that caused PAI teachers at MI Darul Ulum Madiun to lack academic competence and efforts to overcome them. This study uses descriptive research methods to determine the factors that affect the professional competence of teachers. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and also documentation. The results of this study indicate that several factors that influence the professionalism of PAI teachers at MI Darul Ulum Madiun are: First, the teacher recruitment system is less professional. Second, many PAI teachers teach not according to their academic qualifications so that their understanding of PAI material is still not deep. Third, the teacher's lack of motivation in developing his personal qualities. Of the several factors causing the lack of professionalism of PAI teachers at MI Darul Ulum Madiun, the solution that can be done is to improve the management of the school, such as in the problem of recruiting new educators that are designed and implemented properly according to what is needed, starting from making staff recruitments. interesting new applications, filing, and also a professional selection stage so that the teachers who will be recruited are truly competent and ready to carry out their duties properly. The school prefers to choose PAI teachers, because the burden of PAI teachers is much greater than that of non-PAI teachers, so there needs to be teachers who are competent in especially religious matters.Keywords: Professional Competence, Teachers, PAI

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the ASSURE instructional design model (Analyze Learners, State Objectives, Select Methods, Media, and Materials, Utilize Media and Materials, Require Learner Participation, Evaluate and Revise) integrated with multimedia to overcome student learning difficulties in Fiqh. The research was conducted at MI At-Taqwa Madiun. Using a qualitative approach and a descriptive method, data was collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the application of the multimedia-based ASSURE model is an effective strategy. The process begins with an analysis of student characteristics and learning styles, followed by the selection of relevant methods, media, and teaching materials. The success of this model is also supported by active student participation, which has been shown to minimize their learning difficulties. In conclusion, the ASSURE model, enriched with multimedia, serves as a significant alternative solution to improve the quality of Fiqh learning.

Abstract

Bullying is a social phenomenon that still frequently occurs in educational settings and has a serious impact on the psychological, emotional, and academic development of students. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic values in fostering social awarenessas a means of preventing bullying at SMPIT Al-Madinah Karawang, as well as to identify the various challenges faced in its implementation. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method conducted on May 19, 2025. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with the Islamic Religious Education teacher who also serves as the Vice Principal for Curriculum, school activity observations, and documentation. The research results indicate that the integration of Islamic values such as noble character, empathy, discipline, and respect for others is effective in shaping students’ character and reducing bullying behavior through integrated learning programs, religious activities, and a humanistic and communicative approach. However, the main challenges stem from external factors such as the family environment and social circles outside of school, which do not yet fully support the development of students’ character. Therefore, synergy between schools and families is needed through collaborative programs to strengthen the sustained internalization of Islamic values in order to prevent bullying.
