Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the ASSURE instructional design model (Analyze Learners, State Objectives, Select Methods, Media, and Materials, Utilize Media and Materials, Require Learner Participation, Evaluate and Revise) integrated with multimedia to overcome student learning difficulties in Fiqh. The research was conducted at MI At-Taqwa Madiun. Using a qualitative approach and a descriptive method, data was collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the application of the multimedia-based ASSURE model is an effective strategy. The process begins with an analysis of student characteristics and learning styles, followed by the selection of relevant methods, media, and teaching materials. The success of this model is also supported by active student participation, which has been shown to minimize their learning difficulties. In conclusion, the ASSURE model, enriched with multimedia, serves as a significant alternative solution to improve the quality of Fiqh learning.

Abstract

The Special Talent Program in the arts at SMAN 2 Tambun Selatan serves as a platform for developing students' interests and talents in music, dance, theater, and visual arts through regular practice, exhibitions, concerts, competitions, art exhibitions, and publication of student works. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving curriculum staff, program supervisors, teachers, homeroom teachers, students, and alumni. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings show that students' academic balance is managed through art activity scheduling, academic dispensation, grade monitoring, and coordination among relevant stakeholders. These strategies enable students to fulfill their academic responsibilities while developing their artistic potential. The program outcomes include maintained academic achievement, improved artistic talent and achievement, strengthened character and soft skills, and meaningful experiences for students and alumni. The success of the Special Talent Program is shaped not only by students' artistic ability but also by the school's management strategy in balancing talent development and academic demands.

Abstract

The school library plays an important role in supporting the learning process and improving students’ reading interest. However, the success of library services is highly influenced by effective planning in quality management. This study aims to examine the planning (Plan) stage of library service quality management at SMP Negeri 1 Babakancikao Purwakarta in an effort to enhance students’ reading interest. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving the principal, librarian, and students as research subjects. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed descriptively to obtain an in-depth understanding of library service planning. The results revealed that library service planning had been carried out systematically through the development of long-term, medium-term, annual, and library service programs adjusted to students’ needs and school conditions. The planning was implemented through literacy activities, reading corners, digital library services, book procurement funded by the School Operational Assistance (BOS) program, and collaboration with the regional library. In addition, the school sought to identify students’ needs and reading interests by providing various types of attractive reading materials. Nevertheless, several obstacles were found, including limited facilities, insufficient diversity of reading collections, and the absence of regular reading habits among students. It can be concluded that the planning of library service quality management has been implemented well; however, improvements in facilities, expansion of reading collections, and strengthening of literacy programs are still needed to optimize students’ reading interest.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) system, determine the condition of collection services, and analyze the influence of the OPAC system on the effectiveness of collection services in the Purwakarta Regency Regional Library. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to selected library users using random sampling techniques. The research analysis focused on the relationship between the utilization of the OPAC system and the effectiveness of library collection services. The results of the study show that the OPAC system has an important role in supporting the ease of access to information, the speed of collection search, and the accuracy of information retrieval for users. However, the use of OPAC in the Purwakarta Regency Regional Library is not fully optimal because there are still many users who depend on the assistance of librarians and the limited use of OPAC facilities. Therefore, optimizing the use of OPAC is needed to increase the effectiveness of collection services and the quality of information technology-based library services.

Abstract

The rapid adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education creates opportunities to strengthen students' learning motivation and self-regulated learning (SRL). This literature review analyzes the roles, mechanisms, and conditions through which AI contributes to both dimensions. The corpus consists of 15 scientific articles published in 2024-2026. The sources were examined through identification, comparison, thematic coding, and interpretive synthesis. The findings show that AI supports motivation through personalized content, immediate feedback, flexible access, responsive interaction, and progressive challenges that strengthen confidence and engagement. AI also facilitates SRL by helping students set goals, select strategies, organize time, monitor progress, reflect on performance, and revise learning plans. Motivation and SRL reinforce each other: engaging AI-supported experiences encourage sustained participation, while stronger regulation enables students to use AI more purposefully. Nevertheless, positive outcomes are not automatic. Digital literacy, critical thinking, teacher guidance, ethical awareness, infrastructure, and instructional design determine whether AI functions as a learning companion or merely becomes a source of instant answers. Therefore, AI should be integrated as pedagogical scaffolding that supports, rather than replaces, students' cognitive effort and teachers' educational roles.

Abstract

School libraries need competent librarians to turn automation into accurate and responsive services. This study examined the relationship between librarians’ competence in managing INLISLite and library service quality at SMAN 4 Karawang. A quantitative correlational survey involved 189 Grade XI students selected from 357 students through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a valid 30-item four-point Likert questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The instrument obtained a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.968. Descriptive statistics, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and Spearman rank correlation were processed using SPSS 27. Both variables were in the good category. Management competence achieved the highest mean of 3.0095, while Affect of Service reached 3.0053. The data were non-normal. Spearman’s rho was 0.947 with p < 0.001, indicating a positive, significant, and very strong relationship. Effective INLISLite services therefore require managerial, organizational, information-service, and digital competence.
