Abstract

Keadilan dalam Islam bertujuan mendorong masyarakat ke arah yang lebih maju demi memperbaiki kehidupan tanpa membedakan bentuk, ras, budaya dan etnis. Karena pada hakikatnya manusia itu setara dan selalu mempunyai kesempatan dalam mengembangakan potensi-potensinya. Seperti yang tertulis dalam al-Qur`an atau hadith Nabi. Penelitian ini bertujuan membahas keadilan sosial masyarakat pada kisah Nabi Daud yang terdapat dalam al-Qur`an dalam tafsir ibnu Kathīr. Pada penelitian ini dapat dikaterogikan sebagai penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan historis. Analisis dari al-Qur`an pada tafsir Ibnu Kathīr ini menghasilkan bahwa kita jangan merasakan takut untuk menegakkan sebuah keadilan meskipun kepada orang tua sendiri, saudara atau teman dan kisah Nabi Daud bisa menjadikan kita ibrah bahwasanya dalam memutuskan sebuah permasalahan lebih baik dengan jalan musyawarah agar setiap anggota masyarakat memiliki hak yang sama.

Abstract

Background and Objectives: The study of Qur'ānic interpretation is an evolving field of scholarly inquiry that attracts scholars from around the world. This study aims to explore the contributions and approaches used by Western scholars in the study of the Qur'ān, and to see how changes in methodologies and perspectives in the interpretation of this sacred text affect its understanding and application in modern contexts. Methodology: Descriptive-analytical approach with library research method. The data sources used include books, journals, and scientific articles relevant to the theme of the study. Main Findings: Qur'anic studies continue to experience significant methodological variations, from criticism to the development of new methodologies. Hermeneutics and historical-critical approaches are the main methods used by Western scholars in understanding the Qur'an. The findings show that scriptural interpretation is always contextual and dynamic, influenced by social, cultural and political changes. Involvement: The contributions of Western scholars have significantly enriched Qur'anic studies through the use of innovative and critical methodologies. For instance, the application of the hermeneutic approach has deepened and contextualized the understanding of the Qur'anic text. Additionally, these contributions have introduced new methods that Muslim scholars can adopt to enhance their perspectives on interpreting the sacred text. Conclusion: The studies by Western scholars illustrate that interpreting these sacred texts remains pertinent to contemporary situations and can generate new ideas shaped by social, cultural contexts and academic methodologies. This research emphasizes the importance of inter-civilizational dialogue and openness to new approaches in studying sacred texts to achieve a more comprehensive and objective understanding.

Abstract

Abstract In this paper, we will discuss the interpretation of Misbah Musthofa's work entitled al-Iklil fi Ma'ani al-Tanzil. In this interpretation using the tahlili method and the style of this interpretation when viewed from several opinions it has several features, but in this writing the author includes the Sufistic style and adab al-Ijtima'i. In interpreting a verse Misbah Musthofa goes through a lot of ratios (bi al-Ray'i). The purpose of writing this commentary is so that people are always guided by the Qur'an in life in the world. In addition, this interpretation also criticizes a lot of problems or events that occur in the midst of society. As the author gave an example of the ban on family planning according to Misbah Musthofa by linking the incident to the story of Pharaoh. The result of this study is the interpretation of al-Iklil fi Ma'ani al-Tanzil is one of the interpretations with an archipelago nuance with its interpretation using the Javanese Pegon script. In his interpretation, Misbah Musthofa always explains the meaning of the verse clearly and in detail, for example the relationship of a verse with verses and hadiths. However, when including a history of hadith, Misbah Musthofa does not include the sanad of the hadith.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas terkait penanaman nilai-nilai aswaja an-Nahdliyin di era modern guna melestarikan dan memfilter akan gejolak aliran lain. Sebagaimana Maraknya aliran dan ajaran Islam dengan berbagai perbedaan, acapkali menimbulkan perbandingan bahkan perdebatan untuk berlomba-lomba untuk melegitimasi bahwa aliran yang dijalani merupakan ajaran yang sesuai dan merupakan ajaran Nabi Muhammad, sahabat maupun tabi’in. permasalahan yang akan di jawab pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana praktek dan nilai-nilai aswaja an-Nahdliyin di era modern dan bagaimana cara memfilter masyarakat modern terhadap gejolak aliran lain dengan menggunakan nilai nilai aswaja an-Nahdliyin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi pustaka. Pada penelitian ini tergolong kepada penelitian basic research, yaitu penelitian dalam rangka memperluas dan memperdalam pengetahuan secara teoritis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah; Aswaja An-Nahdliyah memiliki sumbangsih yang cukup besar dalam upaya menanamkan sikap-sikap sesuai ajaran yang telah diwariskan oleh Nabi Muhammad dan para sahabat. Salah satu aspek nilai-nilai Aswaja an-Nahdliyah dengan sikap tasamuh (toleran), mampu menjadi filter manusia di era modern dari tawaran-tawaran dan ajaran paham Islam radikal yang semakin marak bertebaran.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mechanisms and authority underlying K.H. Maimun Zubair’s interpretations as reflected in Tafsir Safīnah Kallā Saya’lamūn, a work documented by his student, Ismail Al-Ascholīy. Mbah Moen’s interpretations are often perceived as deeply intertwined with contextual nuances, yet the factors influencing these interpretations and the processes involved in their formulation remain insufficiently examined. This research seeks to bridge this gap by uncovering the intricate processes behind his interpretative approach, particularly concerning contemporary themes. Employing qualitative methods with a literature-based analysis, the study reveals that multifaceted dimensions, including historical and psychological contexts shape Mbah Moen’s interpretations. His engagement with a conducive intellectual environment fosters a contextual interpretative framework that aligns with modern phenomena. Furthermore, his interpretations are deeply rooted in the pesantren tradition, which significantly informs his intellectual orientation. Within this framework, the authority of the Qur’an, historical narratives, and classical exegetical works remains pivotal. Nonetheless, Mbah Moen adeptly integrates modern perspectives into his interpretations, demonstrating a capacity to contextualize Qur’anic texts in ways that transcend conventional exegetical paradigms.

Abstract

This study examines the legal marriage age based on Law No. 16 of 2019 and Q.S Al-Ṭalaq [65]: 4 using Jasser Auda’s Maqasid Syariah approach. It analyzes the differences between positive law, which sets the minimum marriage age at 19, and Islamic law, which does not specify an explicit age but emphasizes physical, mental, and emotional maturity. Employing a qualitative method with content analysis, this study explores the marriage age framework in light of Maqasid Syariah, focusing on preserving individual and familial welfare. The findings reveal that Islamic law allows flexibility in marriage age, provided specific criteria, including readiness in knowledge, mental, psychological, reproductive, and material aspects, are fulfilled. Jasser Auda’s holistic approach highlights the importance of considering social, cultural, and long-term impacts, such as preventing stunting, domestic violence, and family dysfunction. This study concludes that while the marriage age set by positive law is binding, the principles of Maqasid Syariah can bridge the gap between perspectives, fostering the establishment of harmonious families aligned with Islamic values. Consequently, this research offers significant contributions to integrating positive legal norms and Islamic principles to ensure comprehensive family and societal protection.

Abstract

This study examines Fatima Mernissi's thoughts on misogynistic hadiths and their relevance to women's leadership in the context of Islam. Mernissi, as a feminist thinker, challenged traditional interpretations of hadith that were considered degrading to women, as she stated in her book "Women and Islam: A Historical and Theological Enquiry." Mernissi argues that there is a defect in the hadith because its message contradicts common sense, particularly in sidelining the role of women as leaders and failing to provide public breadth. Departing from this reasoning, she criticized hadiths with misogynistic undertones concerning their narrators and meanings. This study employs a qualitative approach that includes descriptive analysis and the figure study method. From the results of this research, the author identified two major points in Fatima Mernissi's thought: First, she analyzes the text of the hadith using a historical and methodological approach. Second, the methodology that Mernissi applies is based on Ulūm al-Ḥadīth, which aids her in refuting misogynistic hadiths. She does this when determining whether to accept or reject a hadith. Regarding the understanding of hadith, Mernissi applies a historical approach.

Abstract

Indonesia, sebagai negara dengan keragaman agama dan budaya yang kaya, menghadapi tantangan dalam menciptakan sistem pendidikan yang inklusif dan harmonis. Islam sebagai agama mayoritas penduduk di Indonesia memiliki peran yang sangat penting untuk menjaga kedamaian di Indonesia melalui pendidikan. Latar belakang masalah ini muncul dari meningkatnya konflik sosial yang sering kali dipicu oleh ketidakpahaman terhadap perbedaan sosiokultural. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pentingnya pemahaman keragaman agama dan budaya dalam konteks pendidikan Islam serta mengidentifikasi strategi untuk menciptakan pendidikan yang lebih inklusif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kajian pustaka. Teori pendidikan multikultural digunakan untuk menekankan pentingnya pemahaman terhadap keragaman dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman yang baik tentang diversitas sosiokultural, agama, dan budaya tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, tetapi juga memperkuat kohesi sosial di masyarakat. Implikasi dari kajian ini adalah bahwa pendidikan Islam yang inklusif dapat menjadi fondasi bagi terciptanya masyarakat yang harmonis.
