Abstract

This article based on a study of writing errors contained in some thesis of Arabic Literature students of UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Among the mistakes that often occur in the thesis is on writing Hamzah, morphology, grammar, and semantics. Several causes of these errors are: 1 ) The influence of mother tongue and the presence of the difference between Indonesian and Arabic in vocabulary, structure, and style of language; 2) Some errors occur on developmental stages of the students during process of Arabic language acquisition. So, there are some errors caused by lack of knowledge about the application of linguistic context in writing that comes from a thought, or the ignorance of rules of grammar.

Abstract

This study was conducted to measure the effect of transformation leadership character¬istics (i.e., intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration) and empowerment on service quality using 110 usable questionnaires gathered from employees who have worked in one city based local authority in Sarawak, Malaysia (AUTHORKEM). Stepwise regression analysis showed that the inclusion of empowerment in the analysis had increased the effect of transformational leadership characteristics on service quality. The result confirms that em¬powerment does act as a full mediating role in leadership model of the studied organization. Key words: transformational leadership, empowerment, service quality

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the moderating effect of distributive justice in the relationship between the forms of benefits program and job commitment. A survey research method was used to gather 150 usable questionnaires from employees who have worked in Malaysian federal government linked companies in Sarawak (MFGLS). The outcomes of testing moderating model using a hierarchical regression analysis showed two major findings: (1) distributive justice had not increased the effect of physical and safety benefits (i.e., health care, insurance, loan and claim) on job commitment, and (2) distributive justice had increased the effect of self-satisfaction benefits (i.e., promotion opportunity and training) on job commitment. This result confirms that distributive justice does act as a partial moderating variable in the benefit program models of the organizational sector sample. In addition, the implications of this study to benefit system theory and practice, methodological and conceptual limitations, and directions for future research are also discussed. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know the application of the Debate Method to improve speaking skills for Senior High School Students of class XII -A in Ulumuddin Boarding School Utenkot, Cunda - Lhokseumawe for academic years 2018 – 2019, and to know students' effectivity after applicating the Debat Methode. This research is classroom action research conducted in 3 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation/evaluation, and reflection. The subjects of this study are senior high school students of class XII-A who are 25 students and the object of this research is speaking skills. Data collection in this study is carried out by the method of observation, interviews, and diagnostic tests. The data are analyzed by quantitative descriptive and statistical analysis techniques. The results showed (1) that the application of the debate Method consisted of the stages of the purpose of Debate method application in the learning process of teaching Arabic, giving titles, limiting the Debate members, making debating rooms in class, searching for information about the title of the Debate, and providing evaluation sheets activities of researchers and students in the application the Debate method, (2) in the application of the Debate Method there is an increase in the percentage of speaking skills of students of class XI -A MA in terms of pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, and sentence structure. Based on the results of the analysis in the first cycle, the average student's speaking skills are obtained as much as 70% ("medium" category). Then in the second cycle students' skills improved. The average speaking skills of students are 74% ("medium" category). In the third cycle, the average skill of students is 81.4% ("high" category). Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the application of the debate method can improve students' speaking skills in terms of pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, and sentence structure.

Abstract

The method of dialog (conversational Method) is one method of teaching foreign languages ​​such as Arabic, English, or other languages ​​by directly inviting students to dialogue/speak with the foreign language being taught. Playing drama is one way to make it easier for students to remember Arabic vocab. The conversational method intended here is a way of teaching by dramatizing behavior in the form of social relations. As for the problems that researchers encounter at the modern Babun Najah boarding school, some students at the Modern Pesantren Babun Najah are less able to understand the language when dialoguing with Arabic with their friends well and it is also difficult to pronounce the Arabic language. From these problems, the researcher wants to discuss research entitled "Muhadatsah Learning through the dramatization method to improve students' Ability to Engage in Dialogue using Arabic". The research method used by researchers in writing this thesis is a quasi-experiment, this method which launches the design of a study, which aims to examine the relationship of cause and effect to the cause of the phenomenon. The Mujtama' in this study were students of class 1 Aliyah Modern Islamic Boarding School Babun Najah Ulee Kareng where students numbered 151 people, and the sample was class 1 MIA 4 students, amounting to 32 people, viewed from the learning aspects and the results of research has been done on that class is increasing. The Muhadatsah learning through the method of dramatization can improve students' ability in dialogue by using the Arabic language because it can be seen through the value of to and it is clear that the value of 22.03% is higher than the percentage value of 5% = 2.04 and 1% 2.75. While the motivation of students in dialogue by using drama achieves excellent value categories.

Abstract

Imla’ is the activity of changing sounds that can be understood into written symbols, but these letters are placed in the correct position of words, to correct the pronunciation and meaning desired. The title of this research is "The Implementation of Imla’ Mandhur through Mind Mapping in Increasing the Students’ Ability in Writing of Complete Sentences (The Experimental Study at Dayah Modern Darul Ulum) ". There are some reasons for the researcher to conduct this research. The low motivation of students. The students were sleepy when the teacher taught in the class. Some of them played with each other and did not pay attention to the lesson. When the teacher instructed them to write the Mufradat, they were unable to write properly and correctly, and some errors were found in writing the Mufradat. As for the difficulty of students in writing Arabic Mufradat, they have not mastered the rules and the way to connect Arabic letters. Besides they also lack vocabulary in writing. The problems that are dealt with by the students, it caused by the monotonous method. The purpose of this study is to increase the student’s ability in Arabic writing by using the Imla’ Mandhur Method through Mind Mapping. It aims to increase the student’s ability in writing. The population was all the students at Modern Darul Ulum, namely 933 students. The sample was 30 students in class X1c as the experimental group and 30 students in X1A as the control group. The researcher used a semi-experimental research design in conducting this research. Post-test and observation were used to collect the data. The result was found that the implementation of Imla’ Mandhur by using Mind Mapping Media can increase the student’s ability in Arabic writing. In this case, the average score for the experimental group was higher than the control group (87, 2 higher than 79.8). It means that the t-test was higher than (t table = 2, 04 from 5% from 1 %).

Abstract

It was noted from the observations that most of the students could only memorize and understand the vocabulary, but could not arrange it to become a sentence and could not communicate in Arabic, the causes were the inappropriate teaching media used by the lecturers and the short time they have with the lecturer. Those things cause the students to have difficulty composing Arabic sentences and the inability to communicate with Arabic friends and lecturers. After the researcher distributed the questionnaire to the students, the researcher found that the students liked conversational material and needed learning media that facilitated students conversations with friends and lecturers, and they needed the development of conversational materials with learning media. Therefore, lecturers need learning media to display these lessons. Based on this phenomenon, the researchers tried to overcome the problems that occurred by developing Muhadatsah lessons to improve students' speaking skills with the Microsoft PowerPoint program. The purpose of this study was to determine how the development of Muhadatsah lessons improved students' speaking skills with the Microsoft PowerPoint program and how effective the product was. The research method that the researcher used was R&D. The research instruments used by researchers to collect research data were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the research that the researchers obtained were: the development of Muhadatsah lessons in improving students' speaking skills with the Microsoft PowerPoint program following 10 predetermined steps, and the t-test value (t-count = 23.18) is greater than the value (t-table with a significant level 5% = 2.11 and a significant level of 1% = 2.90). Then, it shows that the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted, which means that the Microsoft PowerPoint program is effective in increasing students' ability to improve speaking skills in Muhadatsah lessons.
