Abstract

Family companies are an interesting phenomenon in the business world today, many companies in the world are family companies. Business development can not be separated from the leadership role that is applied from every leader in each generation, leadership succession greatly influences the continuity of family companies. In addition to leadership roles, employee performance is one determinant of the success of the company's goals. Other factors that influence employee performance are include patrenalistic leadership style, organizational culture, work environment and job satisfaction. This research aimed to analyze the effect of paternalistic leadership style, organizational culture and work environtment on employee’s performance with employee’s satisfaction as the intervening. This research was conducted in one of the private hospitals in East Java Pacitan Regency. The data collected from 25 respondents by using census. The data were analysed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS). The Result of this research showed that the effect of paternalistic leadership style and organizational culture, work environtement on employee’s satisfaction (as variable intervening) is positive and significant and the impact of employee’s satisfaction on employee’s performance is positive and significant.

Abstract

Financial performance is used as a benchmark for the company to see how far the company can continue to survive and develop, and also to see the overall financial health of the company during a certain period. This research basically aims to measure the financial performance of PT. Garuda Indonesia for the 2019-2020 period by applying a profitability analysis using the Dupont method which is based on a return on equity analysis model. The Dupont method is used to analyze a company's profitability and return on equity by dividing performance into four components: net profit margin, total asset turnover, equity multiplier, and return on investment. PT. Garuda Indonesia is the number one and largest national airline in Indonesia with services and facilities that meet world standards. In 2019, airlines were affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic era which caused a global financial crisis. The results found that the financial performance of PT. Garuda Indonesia in 2019-2020 tends to decline in net profit margin, equity multiplier, and return on investment. Meanwhile, the return on equity showed a figure of -7.65% and in the last year it jumped high by 127.46% where the company was at a loss due to low equity due to excessive debt.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the performance of PT Petrokimia Gresik Coal Utility Unit employees who have recently emerged issues regarding employee performance that seem to have decreased so that testing is needed to prove whether the employee's performance has decreased. Exploration of employee performance is carried out using quantitative research methods, with the analysis technique using Path Analysis. By distributing several questionnaires to 40 employees who work in the Coal Utility Unit, to find out the results of the analysis required several tests such as the Validity Test which states valid, because the correlation value of each question item is greater than its critical value and for the Reliability Test it reaches Cronbach numbers. alpha 0.892 and above 0.60, it is declared reliable and trustworthy. With the results of the calculations that have been done, it can be seen that the contribution of the Reward System, Work Environment and Empowerment variables affects the Employee Engagement and Organizational Citizenship Behavior variables as a measuring factor for employee performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using Google Form to improve students' English listening skills. This study uses an experimental research type conducted in one class. The sample in this study was class A students of the Management study program at Narotama University, totaling 25 students. The results of the study showed a t sig value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a difference in the average pretest and posttest scores of students, which means that there is an influence of using Google Forms to improve students' English listening skills. The results of this study were that students felt more involved and motivated when using Google Form compared to conventional listening methods, the use of Google Form in listening training allowed students to get direct feedback, Google Form increased student motivation in learning listening and Google Form allowed lecturers to collect data and analyze the level of student understanding more easily and accurately
