Abstract

Abstract: This research is developmental research using Four D Model and it is applied to 40 elementary school students at Samarinda. The research developed learning material, included learning planning, worksheet, achievement test for science materials. The learning instrument were collected three times. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive analysis. Results found that students achievement individually were increase and students achievement classically got 89% in the first research and got 80% in the second research. Students responded to equipment learning generally.

Abstract

This research is a development research. The aim of this research is to produce a media study base on Macromedia Flash to increase the result of study for students class XI in cell course. This development research applies 4-D model which includes define stage, design stage, develop stage, and disseminate stage. Base on the result of media test, obtained a media study base on Macromedia Flash is valid according to validators and qualified: (1) the ability of teachers to manage learning was good criteria,(2) the activity of students in learning process was active,(3) classical learning completeness is achieved,(4) the respond of students in learning component was positive. The result of research in effective class base on descriptive analysis obtained result that a media study base on Macromedia Flash has been fulfilled, among others: (1) result study in class XI reach 92, 86 % students achieved completeness, (2) the ability of teachers to manage learning was good, (3) student’s activity during the class achieved good criteria, (4) the respond of students in learning was positive. Based on the results of analysis data can be concluded that media study learning model base on Macromedia Flash on cell course in class XI senior high school was good quality.

Abstract

Sunscreen is a preparation that is used on the surface of the skin that works to absorb, scatter or reflect ultraviolet light. Therefore, it is necessary to use the ingredients to become active ingredients in sunscreen. The research objectives are to (a) To determine the total flavonoid content and total polyphenol content of avocado peel extract (Persea americana Mill.). (b) Knowing the sunscreen activity of avocado skin extract (Persea americana Mill.). This type of exploratory experimental research is based on a quantitative approach. The results showed that avocado skin extract (Persea americana Mill.) has a total flavonoid content of 10.855 mgQE/g extract and a total polyphenol content of 221.593 mgGAE/g extract. It is known that avocado peel extract (Persea americana Mill.) has sunscreen activity with an SPF value of 3.887 at a concentration of 500 ppm including minimal protection category.
