Abstract

Abstract: This research is developmental research using Four D Model and it is applied to 40 elementary school students at Samarinda. The research developed learning material, included learning planning, worksheet, achievement test for science materials. The learning instrument were collected three times. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive analysis. Results found that students achievement individually were increase and students achievement classically got 89% in the first research and got 80% in the second research. Students responded to equipment learning generally.

Abstract

This research is a development research. The aim of this research is to produce a media study base on Macromedia Flash to increase the result of study for students class XI in cell course. This development research applies 4-D model which includes define stage, design stage, develop stage, and disseminate stage. Base on the result of media test, obtained a media study base on Macromedia Flash is valid according to validators and qualified: (1) the ability of teachers to manage learning was good criteria,(2) the activity of students in learning process was active,(3) classical learning completeness is achieved,(4) the respond of students in learning component was positive. The result of research in effective class base on descriptive analysis obtained result that a media study base on Macromedia Flash has been fulfilled, among others: (1) result study in class XI reach 92, 86 % students achieved completeness, (2) the ability of teachers to manage learning was good, (3) student’s activity during the class achieved good criteria, (4) the respond of students in learning was positive. Based on the results of analysis data can be concluded that media study learning model base on Macromedia Flash on cell course in class XI senior high school was good quality.

Abstract

Sunscreen is a preparation that is used on the surface of the skin that works to absorb, scatter or reflect ultraviolet light. Therefore, it is necessary to use the ingredients to become active ingredients in sunscreen. The research objectives are to (a) To determine the total flavonoid content and total polyphenol content of avocado peel extract (Persea americana Mill.). (b) Knowing the sunscreen activity of avocado skin extract (Persea americana Mill.). This type of exploratory experimental research is based on a quantitative approach. The results showed that avocado skin extract (Persea americana Mill.) has a total flavonoid content of 10.855 mgQE/g extract and a total polyphenol content of 221.593 mgGAE/g extract. It is known that avocado peel extract (Persea americana Mill.) has sunscreen activity with an SPF value of 3.887 at a concentration of 500 ppm including minimal protection category. Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari urgensi keterpaduan visi dan misi sekolah dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik, khususnya pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar. SDN 017 Samarinda Utara dipilih sebagai lokasi kajian karena pelaksanaan nilai-nilai karakter dalam Kurikulum Merdeka masih menunjukkan perbedaan antar guru dan keterlibatan orang tua yang belum berjalan secara konsisten. Tujuan penelitian adalah menelaah tingkat keselarasan antara visi-misi sekolah dengan praktik pendidikan karakter yang diterapkan dalam pembelajaran, lingkungan sekolah, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, sekaligus mengidentifikasi hambatan serta strategi penguatannya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui analisis dokumen, observasi lapangan, serta wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, guru, dan orang tua siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa visi–misi sekolah telah diwujudkan melalui sejumlah praktik pendidikan karakter, seperti pembiasaan 5S, kegiatan yang mengacu pada Profil Pelajar Pancasila, penilaian sikap, serta aktivitas kerja sama baik di dalam kelas maupun dalam kegiatan luar kelas. Lingkungan fisik sekolah turut mendukung internalisasi nilai karakter melalui keberadaan poster, slogan, dan media visual lainnya. Meskipun demikian, beberapa tantangan masih dijumpai, antara lain ketiadaan instrumen evaluasi karakter yang baku, tingkat pemahaman visi–isi yang belum merata di antara pendidik, serta keterlibatan orang tua yang masih kurang optimal. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, penelitian merekomendasikan sejumlah penguatan, seperti penyelenggaraan pelatihan guru secara berkelanjutan, pengembangan rubrik penilaian karakter yang terukur, pengintegrasian nilai-nilai karakter ke dalam asesmen, serta penguatan program parenting guna meningkatkan kolaborasi sekolah dan keluarga. Secara keseluruhan, visi-misi SDN 017 Samarinda Utara terbukti relevan dan memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung pembentukan karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effects of the Group Investigation (GI) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) models on students’ critical thinking skills and learning motivation in biology learning. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two experimental classes and one control class at SMA Negeri 1 Muara Wahau. The first experimental class implemented the PBL model, the second applied the GI model, while the control class received conventional instruction. Data on students’ critical thinking skills and learning motivation were collected using achievement tests and questionnaires and were analyzed using two-way ANOVA followed by the Least Significant Difference (LSD) post hoc test. The results revealed that the learning model had a significant effect on both critical thinking skills and learning motivation (p < 0.05). Students taught using the PBL model demonstrated the highest improvement in critical thinking skills and learning motivation, followed by those taught using the GI model, while the conventional learning group showed the lowest outcomes. These results indicate that student-centered learning models encourage active engagement, problem-solving, and collaborative learning, which contribute to enhanced cognitive and motivational outcomes in biology learning. In conclusion, both PBL and GI models positively influence students’ critical thinking skills and learning motivation; however, the PBL model is the most effective. Therefore, the implementation of problem-oriented and collaborative learning models is recommended to improve the quality of biology learning processes and outcomes.

Abstract

Pengambilan keputusan manajerial dalam sistem pendidikan, khususnya di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), menuntut landasan etis yang kokoh, terutama saat menghadapi isu ketidakadilan struktural. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran landasan filosofis (Ontologi, Epistemologi, dan Aksiologi) dalam membentuk keputusan manajerial dan merumuskan proposisi teoretis untuk Manajemen Pendidikan yang Berkeadilan (MPB) di Kota Balikpapan. Balikpapan dipilih sebagai konteks kritis mengingat adanya krisis daya tampung sekolah negeri, di mana hanya sekitar 51 hingga 67 persen lulusan SMP yang dapat ditampung di SMA/SMK negeri, menciptakan kesenjangan akses yang parah. Penelitian menggunakan desain studi kasus konseptual kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data Miles & Huberman. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa krisis ini berakar pada kegagalan aksiologis dalam keputusan manajerial, yang cenderung terjebak dalam pendekatan inkremental atau berbasis rasionalitas sempit. Model MPB yang diusulkan mensintesis etika manajerial dengan Teori Keadilan Kapabilitas (Capability Approach) dari Amartya Sen. Pendekatan Sen, yang berfokus pada perluasan kebebasan fungsional individu (kapabilitas) daripada sekadar distribusi sumber daya (Rawls), dinilai lebih relevan untuk mengembangkan kurikulum berbasis lokalitas dan menjamin pemerataan kualitas. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini adalah merumuskan model Keputusan Manajerial Berkeadilan yang mengutamakan mitigasi unconscious bias dan perencanaan restoratif sebagai solusi struktural terhadap ketimpangan di SMK Balikpapan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara nilai dan efisiensi dalam filosofi perencanaan serta pengorganisasian sebagai pilar transformasi institusi pendidikan. Nilai-nilai strategik seperti integritas, akuntabilitas, kolaborasi, dan inovasi menjadi fondasi dalam setiap proses perencanaan dan pengorganisasian, sementara efisiensi berfungsi sebagai indikator keberhasilan dalam penggunaan sumber daya secara optimal. Melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini menyoroti bagaimana integrasi nilai dan efisiensi dapat memperkuat struktur manajemen, meningkatkan kualitas layanan pendidikan, serta membangun reputasi institusi yang berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan dan pengorganisasian yang berlandaskan nilai dan efisiensi mampu menjadi roda transformasi, menjadikan institusi pendidikan lebih adaptif, kompetitif, dan dipercaya masyarakat.

Abstract

This research aims to develop Google Sites learning media on the subject of class X viruses to improve the communication skills and technological literacy of State High School students in Samarinda. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Sugiyono development model. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and tests. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The subjects in this research were 3 expert validators, namely media, language and materials experts, 1 educational practitioner who was a biology subject teacher and class discussing viruses. The validation results from 3 expert validators obtained a score of 81.97% in the very feasible category. The practicality assessment by the teacher received a score of 97.8% in the very practical category and the assessment by students obtained a score of 85.1% in the very practical category. The use of Google Sites learning media has a significant influence on student learning outcomes with the calculated t value obtained (0.00 < 0.05) with a score gain index of 0.77 in the high category which shows that Google Sites learning media is effective in increasing students' understanding of learning materials. The results of the communication skills assessment questionnaire obtained a score of 81% in the very good category and technological literacy skills received a score of 86% in the very good category.

Abstract

Abstract: Formation of a positive image of SMK is an effort to increase the level of competition amidst the progress of the development of the Capital Region of Nusantara. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of Public Relations (PR) strategies in strengthening the image and positioning of State Vocational High Schools in the Capital Region of the Archipelago. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method in three State Vocational High Schools in Penajam Paser Utara Regency, the Capital Region of the Archipelago, data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations and documentation, with data validity checks through triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of the study indicate that public relations strategy planning is carried out through an early school year meeting with a focus on strengthening external relations, school branding, and increasing industrial cooperation. The organization of the strategy is adjusted to the conditions and resources of each school. The implementation of the strategy involves the use of social media, as well as active collaboration with the business world and industry. Program evaluations are carried out periodically to measure the effectiveness in building the school's image. This study confirms that public relations have a strategic role in shaping public perception and increasing the competitiveness of vocational schools, especially amidst the rapid development of the Public Relations; Image; School Positioning; Capital Region of the Archipelago. Pengorganisasian strategi menyesuaikan dengan kondisi dan sumber daya masing-masing sekolah. Pelaksanaan strategi melibatkan penggunaan media sosial, serta kolaborasi aktif dengan dunia usaha dan industri. Evaluasi program dilakukan secara berkala untuk mengukur efektivitas dalam membangun citra sekolah.
