Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: Menganalisis Pengembangan Modul Matematika Dengan Pendekatan Metakognitif Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemandirian Belajar Siswa SMK Muhammadiyah Kupang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Lokasi yang menjadi objek penelitian adalah SMK Muhammadiyah Kupang. Subyek yang diambil pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-A SMK Muhammadiyah Kupang. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi dan angket. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara analisis validasi dari data kuantitatif yang berasal dari lembar penilaian (validasi) dari ahli media berupa skor rata-rata kemudian diubah menjadi skala kualitatif. Hasil validasi penilaian media dan materi pada “modul matematika dengan pendekatan metakognitif” dikatakan sangat valid dengan rata-rata 3,4. Dengan demikian bahan ajar ini sangat layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar. Hasil pengembangan modul dengan pendekatan metakognitif dapat juga dilihat dari repon siswa yaitu angket respon siswa menyebutkan bahwa didapat rata-rata 3,58 dan dapat dikategorikan mendapat respon sangat baik dari siswa. Berdasarkan kriteria keberhasilan modul dilihat dari rata-rata banyaknya siswa yang responnya sangat baik maka, media modul matematika dengan pendekatan metakognitif dapat dikatakan berhasil.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze students' metacognitive strategies in understanding and solving math problems in terms of gender differences. This type of research is based on a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Purposive sample technique is a technique of determining the subject based on certain criteria to make it easier to obtain the desired information. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of interviews, tests, documentation and observations. The data analysis technique in this study consists of reducing data, presenting data and making conclusions. For data validity, this study used triangulation. Triangulation is done by triangulation method. Method triangulation in this research uses two methods, namely interviews and documentation. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that four aspects of metacognitive strategies, namely the awareness aspect, cognitive aspects, planning aspects and re-checking in understanding and solving mathematical problems in the material of the two-variable linear equation system show that the metacognitive strategies of female and male students in class X SMA 8 Kupang can be said to be good in accordance with the minimum completeness criteria set at school. Even though in the awareness and evaluation aspects, it was still seen that male and female students did not use metacognitive strategies, because understanding the concept in solving story problems was still not understood about the differences in collecting known data and being asked by mathematical modeling. Overall, male and female students were able to understand and solve problems using metacognitive strategies.

Abstract

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan serta memaparkan strategi metakognitif siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Strategi metakognisi merupakan proses yang berurutan yang digunakan untuk mengontrol aktivitas kognitif dan memastikan bahwa tujuan kognitif telah dicapai. Penggunaan Strategi metakognitif dalam pemecahan masalah matematika akan menuntun siswa untuk memahami dan mengontrol proses berpikirnya, menganalisis, objektif, cermat dan logis dalam memecahkan masalah matematika yang sedang dihadapinya. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas VIII SMP N 16 Kupang, yang terdiri dari 34 siswa dengan menggunakan metode angket, soal tes dan dilengkapi dengan adanya wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari empat aspek metakognitif yaitu: aspek kesadaran, aspek strategi kognitif, aspek perencanaan dan aspek pengecekkan kembali mendapatkan respon siswa pada rata-rata 2.90, 2.74, 2.95, 2.90 serta diperkuat oleh hasil pengerjaan soal dan wawancara, maka dapat di simpulkan bahwa kemampuan strategi metakognitif siswa dalam memecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP N 16 Kupang dapat dikelompokan ke dalam katagori baik.Kata kunci:      Pemecahan Masalah, Matematika, Strategi metakognitif AbstractThis study aimed to describe and explain the student metacognitive strategies in solving mathematical problems. Metacognitive strategies is a sequential process that is used to control the cognitive activity and ensure that the cognitive objectives have been achieved. The use of metacognitive strategies in solving mathematical problems will lead students to understand and control the process of thinking, analyzing, objective, accurate and logical in solving mathematical problems at hand. The experiment was conducted in class VIII SMP N 1 Kupang, which consists of 34 students by using questionnaires, test questions, and features an interview. Based on the results of the study showed that of the four aspects of metacognitive namely: Aspects of consciousness, aspects of metacognitive strategies, planning aspects and aspects checking back to get the average student response 2.90, 2.74, 2.95, 2.90, and reinforced by the workmanship about and interviews, it can be concluded that metacognitive strategies in a student's ability to solve mathematical problems in SMP N 16 Kupang can be grouped into either category.Keywords:        Math , Problem Solving, Metacognitive Strategies

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the metacognitive approach on the ability of students to represent mathematics learning. This research is a non-experimental study. The study population was students of Kupang Nusantara Health Vocational School. The sample of this study was the tenth grade students of Kupang Health Vocational School. The method of collecting data collected by researchers is Tests and Interviews,where tests are used to determine students 'mathematical representation abilities and interviews are used to reinforce the test results of students' mathematical representation abilities. The data in this study were tested using the Paired Sample T Test. It can be concluded that learning with a metacognitive approach influences students' representational abilities. This can be proven in the results of the analysis of the Paired Sample T-test. It is known that the average score of the prest-test ability of representation is 12.16 and the post-test ability of students' mathematical representation is 24.73. the conclusion there is a significant influence on mathematical communication skills and students' mathematical representation abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the mathematical literacy skills of grade VIII students of MTs Kupang State School Year 2019/2020. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 30 students grade MTs Kupang State School Year 2019/2020. The object of this research is the mathematical literacy ability of students grade MTs Kupang State School Year 2019/2020. Data collection techniques with tests using essay tests. Instruments used in research are essay type tests, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are three, namely, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data in this study using triangulation techniques. From the results of the study shows that the results of the calculation of the percentage of students who are able to reach KKM as much as 40% while students who do not reach KKM as much as 60%, thus it is concluded that the mathematical literacy ability of grade MTs Kupang state is still low because in this class there are still many students who are weak on formulating and planning strategies in solving problems.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is a teaching and learning process that is built by the teacher to develop students 'creative thinking skills that can improve students' thinking abilities, and can increase the ability to construct new knowledge as an effort to increase good mastery of mathematics material. This study aims to determine how to increase the ability to think creatively in mathematics with a constructivism approach in SMA Negeri 2 Kupang. The form of research used is Grounded Theory. Sources of data in this study are primary data and secondary data. There are three (3) data analysis techniques in this research, namely: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The result of this research is an increase in mathematical creative thinking skills that get learning with a constructivism approach is higher than students who get conventional learning. The conclusion of this study is that there is an increase in the ability to think creatively in mathematics using the constructivism approach in class students at SMA Negeri 2 Kupang for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

The objective of this qualitati veresearchist of indout the improvement of the students' math learning resultsusing NHT cooperative learning model (Numbered Heads Together). The data sources of this case study were secondary and primary data. (1) The primary data wereobtained from the information at the research site and (2) the secondary datawerecontainedof the attachments of the scientific journals review. The data were analyzedthrough data reduction, presentation, andconclusions or verification.This studywas about the improvement results of mathematics learning usingNHT cooperative learning model (Numbered Heads Together) in the tenth-grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah Kupangon matrix materials.The study showed that NHTcooperative learning model(Numbered Heads Together) could improve the math learning results of tenth-grade students ofSMK Muhamtsmadiyah Kupangon matrix materials.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how students’ critical thingking processes in solving mathematical problems on the subject of patterms and sequences of numbers of students at SMP N 3 Fatuleu Tengah Satap. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Class VIII at SMP N 3 Fatuleu Tengah Satap, in solving patern and number sequence material questions the instrument provided in this study were 1) Critical Thingking test sheets, 2) Interviews, 3) Documentation. Documentation data analysis in this study,namely, 1) Data reducation, 2) presentation of data, 3) drawing conclusion/verivication based on data analysis, it can be concluded that 3 students with high mathematical abilities can go thourgh 4indicators and stages of the critical thingking process consisting of clarification (understand the problem), analysis (analysis the problem). Completion strategies (solving problems), and inference (making conclusions) on medium mathematical abilities students only go through the clarification and analysis stages but do not fulfill the strategy and inference stages and students with low mathematical abilities, namely students who interprect critical thingking on the answer sheet but are incomplete in answering.

Abstract

This study intends to examine the viability, practicability, and efficacy of the lift-the-flap book as a trigonometry learning tool for high school students. This study uses the ADDIE approach for research and development (R&D). In this study, the population consisted of X grade students from SMA Negeri 1 Kupang, and the sample consisted of 31 XC grade kids. Data collection approaches employing questionnaires and assessments. Analyses of data's validity, applicability, and efficacy are data analysis methodologies. The findings of research on mathematics learning media lift-the-flap books for high school trigonometric comparative materials. The findings of material expert testing were 91.7% with a very good category, while the results of media expert testing were 94.6% with a very valid category. Based on the findings of the teacher's reaction with an average percentage value of 92% in the very good category and the average student response of 87.74%, the media is deemed practical. After passing the learning outcome test with an average score of 87.1% based on extremely good criteria, the media is utilized effectively in the learning process. Therefore, it can be concluded that the produced lift-the-flap book learning media can be applied to the study of mathematics trigonometric comparison material.
