Abstract

Self-disclosure is a person's ability to express problems and personal experiences to get a positive response so that a person is able to reduce stress levels. The results of the initial survey showed that 48.9% of students experienced severe stress and 51.1% experienced mild stress. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-disclosure and stress levels in final year students in doing thesis at STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan in 2021. This study uses correlation research with a cross sectional design. The research population is 169 people with a total sample of 61, where the sample is taken by proportional sampling technique. Collecting respondent data was taken through a questionnaire using the google form application. Based on the results of the frequency distribution of stress levels in final year students, 15 people (24.6%) were obtained in the high category and 46 people in the low category (75.4%). In self-disclosure, there were 44 people (72.1%) in the high category and 17 people (27.9%) in the low category. The results of the chi square statistical test obtained p-value = 0.001 (p <0.05), indicating that there is a relationship between self-disclosure and stress levels in final year students. It is expected that students can improve their knowledge and good communication skills with self-disclosure to reduce stress levels. Abstract

Activity Daily Living is an activity carried out in the daily life of the elderly, starting from getting up in the morning until going to bed at night. Activity Daily Living is one way that can be done to improve the quality of sleep in the elderly. Sleep quality is a condition in which an individual's sleep results in fitness, freshness and satisfaction with his sleep when he wakes up. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship betweenLevel Daily Living Activity with Sleep Quality in the Elderly at UPT Social Services for the Elderly, Binjai Social Service, North Sumatra. The type of research design used is correlation with analytical descriptive research design with purposive sampling method sampling as many as 50 respondents. The instruments used in data collection were the Katz Index and PSQI questionnaire sheets. Data analysis using test Spearman rank. The results of the study obtained a significant level of both variables p-value 0.001 (<0.005). This shows that there is a relationship between daily living activities and sleep quality in the elderly at the UPT Social Services for the Elderly, Binjai Social Service, North Sumatra in 2021. It is hoped that respondents can further improve daily living activities so that the quality of sleep for the elderly is better at the UPT Social Services for the Elderly, Binjai Social Service North Sumatra.

Abstract

Mother who is the closest person to the child in health care has a significant influence on the attitude and behavior of the child. Kindergarten age children generally do not know and have not been able to maintain the health of their oral cavity, so it is the parents’ responsibility to educate them properly. The purpose of this study was to determine the mother’s knowledge about the prevention of dental caries in preschool children at Nusantara Kindergarten in 2021. This research design uses a descriptive survey with the sampling technique of a total sampling of 35 respondents in Tk Nusantara Tanah Java. The instrument used in data collection is a questionnaire. Analysis of the data shows the results of the description of the knowledge of mothers in Tk Nusantara Tanah Jawa obtained data that the majority of respondents have good knowledge as many as 33 people (91.7%), The researcher recommends that further researchers should conduct similar researchers, it is hoped that they will examine the relationship between knowledge level and dental health maintenance behavior in elementary school children. For further researchers, it is also recommended to choose a total sampling technique according to the conditions and characteristics of the population.

Abstract

Chronic kidney failure is a disease of decreased kidney function either suddenly or chronically. Treatment of chronic kidney failure can be done in 2 ways with conservative measures and dialysis or kidney transplantation. One of the major problems that contribute to hemodialysis failure is the problem of patient compliance. Family support is one of the factors that affect patient compliance in undergoing hemodialysis therapy. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between family support and adherence to dialysis in patients with chronic kidney failure at the Hemodialysis Unit of Rumah Sakit Santa Elisabeth Batam Kota. This research is an analytic observational study with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at the Rumah Sakit Santa Elisabeth Batam Kota Hospital, totaling 30 people. The sample in this study used a total sample of 30 respondents. The data that has been collected was then analyzed using the Fisher's Exact Test statistical test. The results showed that respondents who received family support were mostly good (53.3%) and respondents who were obedient in undergoing dialysis were 23 respondents (76.7%), while respondents who received low family support were mostly disobedient in undergoing dialysis. dialysis as many as 7 respondents (23.3%). Based on the analysis of Fisher's Exact Test, the results obtained p value = 0.0002 (p <0.05) so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted which shows that there is a relationship between family support and adherence to dialysis. There is a relationship between family support and adherence to dialysis in the Hemodialysis Unit of the Elisabeth Hospital Batam kota.
