This article discusses the perception of widows in the stand-up comedy presented by Mega Syalshabillah. Stand-up comedy is a comedy performance art performed by one performer or who is familiarly called a comic. In her performances, Mega Syalshabillah always uses a theme close to the life of a widow. The depiction she did was a form of answering the negative perception that existed in the public's mind about a widow. In this study, the author will examine how the perception of widows in stand-up comedy delivered by Mega Syalshabillah. Researchers use data sourced from YouTube shows, and this is because the YouTube platform is very close and dominantly used as a means of finding information/watching entertainment by the public. The process for selecting YouTube views is based on the most significant number of views. In practice, the author uses the theory of perception proposed by J. Cohen. The theory of perception that the researcher used aims to see the views and perspectives of a widow due to divorce. Personal branding theory is also used in this study as a supporting theory, and it aims to answer how a comedian promotes himself so that the wider community knows it. The findings obtained from this analysis are that people always have a negative perception of a widow due to divorce; the community first generalizes the bad things about widow status.

Infotainment has been a part of Indonesian mainstream media segmentation for a long time. Celebrities Divorce cases are one example of a storyline that Infotainment often covers with certain framing to gain more reaction from the public. This study aimed to uncover the framing within Aura Kasih divorce cases that are being reported by Insert, one infotainment channel in Indonesia. The researchers used Framing theory by Robert Entman. The dataset was taken from television and social media such as @inserlive, Insert infotainment, Intens Investigasi, and Trans TV Official. The result of this study concluded in several usage of framing that drives people to their own conclusions outside the information that those infotainment offers and proves the effect of said framing to influence the viewers perception and opinion.

Film works can be created from various perspectives and production methods by teams in the film industry. Parasite is a South Korean movie present as a production-based film and it raises a big theme of lifestyle differences between social classes. Parasite Movie portrays a new perspective with an astonishing story and plot-twist in the context of film with the issue of social inequality in the modern era. Various awards were obtained by Parasite films on a national and international scale for its beautiful story. The data is collected from the scenes in the movie which later the data is connected with some theories. This study also aims to find out the literary meaning of the movie Parasite, specifically the representation of social class through some literary research.

This research aimed to determine the meaning of the songs belonged to Marjinal band, a punk band whose songs contain critics to the government. The songs that the reasearchers analyzed were Hukum Rimba and Buruh Tani. The researchers used the data taken from various digital platforms and analyzed the lyrics using Semiotic Theory from Ferdinand De Saussure. Furthermore, the results of the research from Hukum Rimba and Buruh Tani song implied that people who had money and power would be spared by the law. Meanwhile, the poor would always be oppressed by the law.

The phenomenon of many people that want to become YouTubers has become trending segments nowadays. Most of people that try to become YouTubers try to reach people attention in order to get their own popularity. YouTubers compete among others to create interesting or even controversial content. One of them can be seen from a YouTuber named Rahmawati Kekeyi Putri Cantika. The aims of this study is to find out the communication strategy applied by Kekeyi on her YouTube account as she did it as the way to maintain and increase her popularity. The data of this research was obtained from one of the controversial contents uploaded by Kekeyi on her YouTube account. This study used impression management theory as the grand theory, and two supporting theories; self-representational behavior theory and dramaturgy theory.Using the three theories above, researchers selected Kekeyi's content in the form of video as an analytical material. The researchers discovered that Kekeyi applied aspects of the three theories above on her YouTube content as the strategy to maintain and increase her popularity on YouTube.

Short films are often underestimated for their lack of duration. People think that the short duration will affect to how the messages are conveyed. However, short films are now very popular. There is even a category of best short film in Academy Awards, or well-known as Oscars. The Neighbors’ Window is one of many Oscars’ winners for best short film. This research aims to find out how jealousy is represented in the short film The Neighbors’ Window by Marshall Curry. This method of this research uses a theory from Saussure called semiotics. This research also uses an approach of Representation theory by Mary Beltran and Stuart Hall. Most of the data in this article is taken from scenes in the short film which later are connected with the theories. This result of this research shows that the important scenes presented in this movie are representation of Jealousy towards each character. This research shows that the movie is about jealousy presented by the symbols in the movie using some analytical research by applying the two theories.

Artikel ilmiah ini membahas konstruksi identitas penggemar Kpop dalam duablog penggemar Kpop yaitu Korean Chingu dan Yeppopo. Lebih dalam lagi,artikel ini menggali pengaruh konsumsi Kpop terhadap penggemarnya denganmelakukan analisis terhadap elemen-elemen yang ada pada blog serta analisistekstual terhadap komentar-komentar para anggota blog. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa Kpop dalam konteks blog Korean Chingu dan Yeppopomerupakan konstruksi “kekoreaan” yang dibentuk oleh para penggemarnya diIndonesia. Konstruksi identitas Korea yang dikonstruksi dalam kedua blog jugatidak ditampilkan mendominasi identitas Indonesia para anggota blog tetapiidentitas Korea tersebut telah menjadi bagian dari identitas para blogger dalamkedua blog. Sehingga, para blogger dalam kedua blog memiliki multi identitasyang terus berproses. Selain itu, Kpop dalam konteks blog Korean Chingu danYeppopo juga tidak dapat dilepaskan dari konteks produksi dan konsumsi budayayang dilakukan para fendom Kpop dalam komunitas blog tersebut.

Social media basically has a function to share information related to user activities and convey information about themselves or called self-disclosures. However, users are not broadly and freely conveying something because of an attitude of vigilance so that there is limited space for movement that must be considered and needs to be considered. Social media that is currently in great demand is Instagram with various interesting features, one of which is the close friend feature that can be used to limit the user's space in providing information related to privacy. This study uses the theory of Human Communication proposed by Littlejohn (1996) as the main conceptual framework for a broader analysis of how the close friend feature influences users' self-disclosure using a descriptive qualitative approach. Overall, the results of interviews with five user informants of the close friend feature indicate that users want to create a sense of security, and limit their movement space so that users can control the situation in the sense that users know anyone who sees information about themselves intentionally and believes that close friends become proper space maintain privacy. This research explores the film's portrayal of South Korea. This research focuses on the scene in Moon Lovers that depicts South Korean history and culture. The qualitative approach is used to analyze the data in this study. The dataset was taken from the scenes on Moon Lovers, korea.net, and any other journal articles. The theories applied include Mise en Scene approach, Stuart Hall's representation theory and cultural theory. As a result, the outcome of this study reveals a detailed and recognized picture of South Korean history and culture.

This article discusses the traditional fighting dance widely known as Caci. Caci still exists in the Manggarai tribe East Nusa Tenggara, a sacred ceremony and contains a moral message value. In this study, we will examine how the value of Caci reduces the perspective of Violence. The data comes from YouTube about the Caci in Manggarai and interviews with an informant. This study used the structuration theory proposed by Anthony Giddens. Based on the results is behind the Caci performance, which is so aggressive, the iconic its uniqueness has an implied meaning about the relationship the humans with God. For the Manggarai tribe, being physically injured in Caci is a natural thing to happen and doesn't count as violent or fighting with opponents.
